Omar Khadr is the only child soldier to be prosecuted for war crimes in modern times in blatant disregard for International Law. He spent over 10 years in torturous conditions in Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, which is a prison condemned by the United Nations, the US Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Canada, and international human rights organizations.
In October 2010, Omar Khadr was given the non-choice to either sign a document and leave Guantanamo Bay - or spend another forty years there. This document he was coerced to sign contained his "confession" that he committed war crimes - laws against which they'd create AFTER he'd supposedly committed them. The document also exonerated the US from any and all wrongdoing toward him, and it made him promise not to sue the American or Canadian government for anything they'd done to him. It also made him sign over the rights to his story so he can never profit from it.
Despite the fact that the Harper regime had agreed to transfer Khadr back to Canada if he signed the plea, they dragged their feet for a full two years. However, on September 29, 2012 after then-Public Safety Minister Vic Toews accidentally leaked a classified document to the Toronto Star, Khadr was repatriated to Canada just to save face.
Currently, while Omar Khadr is awaiting a judicial decision to be transferred to a medium security provincial prison, he remains in solitary in a maximum security penitentiary in Edmonton, Alberta.

Patrick Kelly (September 24, 1954 – January 1, 1990) was an American fashion designer. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Kelly studied art at Jackson State University and then attended Parsons School of Design. While living in Atlanta at age 18 Kelly sold reworked, recycled clothes and served as an unpaid window-dresser at Yves Saint Laurent. YSL chairman Pierre Bergé personally sponsored Kelly in 1988 to form the Paris-based womenswear fashion house Patrick Kelly Paris. Kelly achieved his greatest commercial success in the late 1980s and in 1988 Kelly became both the first American and the first person of color to be admitted as a member of the Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode. Kelly died at age 35 on New Year's Day, 1990.
Working from Paris, Kelly produced collections for five years, beginning in 1985 and continuing until his death in 1990. After receiving financial backing from the U.S. based fashion conglomerate Warnaco in July, 1987, Kelly was able to hire a staff and eventually achieve wholesale sales of US $7.2 million per year. Kelly's designs were sold in upscale retailers including Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale's and were worn by celebrities including Isabella Rossellini, Bette Davis, Cicely Tyson and Grace Jones. Kelly's designs frequently incorporated bright colors, were often embellished with ribbons and buttons and suggested a sense of whimsy and joy while sometimes addressing difficult issues of race. This was pointed out by the giving his audience a tiny brown doll with molded black hair that could be most accurately described as a "pickaninny". Kelly also used culture using motifs such as watermelon and the golliwog. He was known to walk the runway in baggy overalls and used a large spray paint heart as the background to his fashion shows.
Kelly was described as an extremely hard working individual and gained a reputation for demanding his staff match is work ethic. He was also an advocate for models of color and often made a point to include them in his work.
In 2004, The Brooklyn Museum presented Patrick Kelly: A Retrospective, a show featuring more than sixty Kelly designs. In 2014, the Philadelphia Museum of Art presented the exhibition Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love.

Human back
The human back is the large posterior area of the human body, rising from the top of the buttocks to the back of the neck and the shoulders. It is the surface opposite to the chest, its height being defined by the vertebral column (commonly referred to as the spine or backbone) and its breadth being supported by the ribcage and shoulders. The spinal canal runs through the spine and provides nerves to the rest of the body.
Structure
The central feature of the human back is the vertebral column, specifically the length from the top of the thoracic vertebrae to the bottom of the lumbar vertebrae, which houses the spinal cord in its spinal canal, and which generally has some curvature that gives shape to the back. The ribcage extends from the spine at the top of the back (with the top of the ribcage corresponding to the T1 vertebra), more than halfway down the length of the back, leaving an area with less protection between the bottom of the ribcage and the hips. The width of the back at the top is defined by the scapula, the broad, flat bones of the shoulders.

Omar Khadr is the only child soldier to be prosecuted for war crimes in modern times in blatant disregard for International Law. He spent over 10 years in torturous conditions in Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, which is a prison condemned by the United Nations, the US Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Canada, and international human rights organizations. In October 2010, Omar Khadr was given the non-choice to either sign a document and leave Guantanamo Bay - or spend another forty years there. This document he was coerced to sign contained his "confession" that he committed war crimes - laws against which they'd create AFTER he'd supposedly committed them. The document also exonerated the US from any and all wrongdoing toward him, and it made him promise not to sue the American or Canadian government for anything they'd done to him. It also made him sign over the rights to his story so he can never profit from it. Despite the fact that the Harper regime had agreed to transfer Khadr back to Canada if he signed the plea, they dragged their feet for a full two years. However, on September 29, 2012 after then-Public Safety Minister Vic Toews accidentally leaked a classified document to the Toronto Star, Khadr was repatriated to Canada just to save face. Thanks to the generous gift from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the owners of his estate, students will be able to learn, observe, research, and get inspired by the Patrick Kelly's collection. He was not only a native of Missississippi but he was also a graduate of the great Jackson State! Welcome back home Patrick Kelly!!! We love you heart Research and learn, he was the designer known for incorporating buttons and with a mission to "make you smile"! Patrick Kelly (September 24, 1954 – January 1, 1990) was an American fashion designer. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Kelly studied art at Jackson State University and then attended Parsons School of Design. While living in Atlanta at age 18 Kelly sold reworked, recycled clothes and served as an unpaid window-dresser at Yves Saint Laurent. YSL chairman Pierre Bergé personally sponsored Kelly in 1988 to form the Paris-based womenswear fashion house Patrick Kelly Paris. Kelly achieved his greatest commercial success in the late 1980s and in 1988 Kelly became both the first American and the first person of color to be admitted as a member of the Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode. Kelly died at age 35 on New Year's Day, 1990. Working from Paris, Kelly produced collections for five years, beginning in 1985 and continuing until his death in 1990. After receiving financial backing from the U.S. based fashion conglomerate Warnaco in July, 1987, Kelly was able to hire a staff and eventually achieve wholesale sales of US $7.2 million per year. Kelly's designs were sold in upscale retailers including Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale's and were worn by celebrities including Isabella Rossellini, Bette Davis, Cicely Tyson and Grace Jones. Kelly's designs frequently incorporated bright colors, were often embellished with ribbons and buttons and suggested a sense of whimsy and joy while sometimes addressing difficult issues of race. This was pointed out by the giving his audience a tiny brown doll with molded black hair that could be most accurately described as a "pickaninny". Kelly also used culture using motifs such as watermelon and the golliwog. He was known to walk the runway in baggy overalls and used a large spray paint heart as the background to his fashion shows. Kelly was described as an extremely hard working individual and gained a reputation for demanding his staff match is work ethic. He was also an advocate for models of color and often made a point to include them in his work. In 2004, The Brooklyn Museum presented Patrick Kelly: A Retrospective, a show featuring more than sixty Kelly designs. In 2014, the Philadelphia Museum of Art presented the exhibition Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love. -

Omar Khadr is the only child soldier to be prosecuted for war crimes in modern times in blatant disregard for International Law. He spent over 10 years in torturous conditions in Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, which is a prison condemned by the United Nations, the US Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Canada, and international human rights organizations.
In October 2010, Omar Khadr was given the non-choice to either sign a document and leave Guantanamo Bay - or spend another forty years there. This document he was coerced to sign contained his "confession" that he committed war crimes - laws against which they'd create AFTER he'd supposedly committed them. The document also exonerated the US from any and all wrongdoing toward him, and it made him promise not to sue the American or Canadian government for anything they'd done to him. It also made him sign over the rights to his story so he can never profit from it.
Despite the fact that the Harper regime had agreed to transfer Khadr back to Canada if he signed the plea, they dragged their feet for a full two years. However, on September 29, 2012 after then-Public Safety Minister Vic Toews accidentally leaked a classified document to the Toronto Star, Khadr was repatriated to Canada just to save face.
Currently, while Omar Khadr is awaiting a judicial decision to be transferred to a medium security provincial prison, he remains in solitary in a maximum security penitentiary in Edmonton, Alberta.

Omar Khadr is the only child soldier to be prosecuted for war crimes in modern times in blatant disregard for International Law. He spent over 10 years in torturous conditions in Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, which is a prison condemned by the United Nations, the US Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Canada, and international human rights organizations.
In October 2010, Omar Khadr was given the non-choice to either sign a document and leave Guantanamo Bay - or spend another forty years there. This document he was coerced to sign contained his "confession" that he committed war crimes - laws against which they'd create AFTER he'd supposedly committed them. The document also exonerated the US from any and all wrongdoing toward him, and it made him promise not to sue the American or Canadian government for anything they'd done to him. It also made him sign over the rights to his story so he can never profit from it.
Despite the fact that the Harper regime had agreed to transfer Khadr back to Canada if he signed the plea, they dragged their feet for a full two years. However, on September 29, 2012 after then-Public Safety Minister Vic Toews accidentally leaked a classified document to the Toronto Star, Khadr was repatriated to Canada just to save face.
Currently, while Omar Khadr is awaiting a judicial decision to be transferred to a medium security provincial prison, he remains in solitary in a maximum security penitentiary in Edmonton, Alberta.

Philadelphia Museum of Art and the owners of his estate, students will be able to learn, observe, research, and get inspired by the Patrick Kelly's collection. He was not only a native of Missississippi but he was also a graduate of the great Jackson State! Welcome back home Patrick Kelly!!! We love you heart Research and learn, he was the designer known for incorporating buttons and with a mission to "make you smile"!
Patrick Kelly (September 24, 1954 – January 1, 1990) was an American fashion designer. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Kelly studied art at Jackson State University and then attended Parsons School of Design. While living in Atlanta at age 18 Kelly sold reworked, recycled clothes and served as an unpaid window-dresser at Yves Saint Laurent. YSL chairman Pierre Bergé personally sponsored Kelly in 1988 to form the Paris-based womenswear fashion house Patrick Kelly Paris. Kelly achieved his greatest commercial success in the late 1980s and in 1988 Kelly became both the first American and the first person of color to be admitted as a member of the Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode. Kelly died at age 35 on New Year's Day, 1990.
Working from Paris, Kelly produced collections for five years, beginning in 1985 and continuing until his death in 1990. After receiving financial backing from the U.S. based fashion conglomerate Warnaco in July, 1987, Kelly was able to hire a staff and eventually achieve wholesale sales of US $7.2 million per year. Kelly's designs were sold in upscale retailers including Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale's and were worn by celebrities including Isabella Rossellini, Bette Davis, Cicely Tyson and Grace Jones. Kelly's designs frequently incorporated bright colors, were often embellished with ribbons and buttons and suggested a sense of whimsy and joy while sometimes addressing difficult issues of race. This was pointed out by the giving his audience a tiny brown doll with molded black hair that could be most accurately described as a "pickaninny". Kelly also used culture using motifs such as watermelon and the golliwog. He was known to walk the runway in baggy overalls and used a large spray paint heart as the background to his fashion shows.
Kelly was described as an extremely hard working individual and gained a reputation for demanding his staff match is work ethic. He was also an advocate for models of color and often made a point to include them in his work.
In 2004, The Brooklyn Museum presented Patrick Kelly: A Retrospective, a show featuring more than sixty Kelly designs. In 2014, the Philadelphia Museum of Art presented the exhibition Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love.

In conjunction with the opening of her solo exhibition at Nina Freudenheim Gallery, Hallwalls was pleased to welcome back to Buffalo—and to Hallwalls—one of our founding group of artists, Nancy Dwyer. After starting her college art education at SUNY New Paltz in 1972-1974, Dwyer transferred to SUNY at Buffalo (UB) in 1974-1976, where she graduated with her B.F.A. in 1976. While a student in Buffalo and briefly thereafter, she joined the small group of artists who started Hallwalls, participated in the legendary group show Noise in June 1976 ("exhibition conceived as a report card of Hallwalls founding group's first year of activities"), and had her first solo show at Hallwalls March 31-April 15, 1977, titled Thick and Wordy Paintings. http://www.hallwalls.org/visual/5910.html

Welcome back to Momenternity Glass brought to you by FUSION Gallery. Today I will be making a T-Rex Sculpture, its the first one. The first thing I did was look at photos to determine what attributes to add to the sculpture. The next versions will have more detail and better shape. When I finally have the process memorized color will be added to the sculptures. There is no audio in these videos because there is machinery running that are loud and can be annoying. In conjunction with the opening of her solo exhibition at Nina Freudenheim Gallery, Hallwalls was pleased to welcome back to Buffalo—and to Hallwalls—one of our founding group of artists, Nancy Dwyer.
After starting her college art education at SUNY New Paltz in 1972-1974, Dwyer transferred to SUNY at Buffalo (UB) in 1974-1976, where she graduated with her B.F.A. in 1976. While a student in Buffalo and briefly thereafter, she joined the small group of artists who started Hallwalls, participated in the legendary group show Noise in June 1976 ("exhibition conceived as a report card of Hallwalls founding group's first year of activities"), and had her first solo show at Hallwalls March 31-April 15, 1977, titled Thick and Wordy Paintings.
