Mister, usually written in its abbreviated form Mr. (US) or Mr (US & UK), is a commonly-used English honorific for men under the rank of knighthood. The title derived from earlier forms of master, as the equivalent female titles Mrs, Miss, and Ms all derived from earlier forms of mistress. Master is sometimes still used as an honorific for boys and young men, but its use is increasingly uncommon.
The modern plural form is Misters, although its usual formal abbreviation Messrs(.) derives from use of the French title messieurs in the 18th century.Messieurs is the plural of monsieur (originally mon sieur, "my lord"), formed by declining both of its constituent parts separately.
Historically, mister—like Sir or my lord—was applied only to those above one's own status in the peerage. This understanding is now obsolete, as it was gradually expanded as a mark of respect to those of equal status and then to all gentlemen. It is now used indiscriminately.
In past centuries, Mr was used with a first name to distinguish among family members who might otherwise be confused in conversation: Mr Doe would be the eldest present; younger brothers or cousins were then referred to as Mr Richard Doe and Mr William Doe and so on. Such usage survived longer in family-owned business or when domestic servants were referring to adult male family members with the same surname: "Mr Robert and Mr Richard will be out this evening, but Mr Edward is dining in," but such usage today is rare in American culture but still quite common in others as a sign of respect when first names are being used, the last name is not known, or where English is not the mother tongue.
The Critters were a successful American pop group with several hits in the 1960s.
The group formed in New Jersey in 1964 when singer-guitarist Don Ciccone and saxophonist Bob Podstawski joined local group the Vibratones, comprising Jim Ryan (lead guitar), Ken Gorka (bass), Jack Decker (drums), and Chris Darway (keyboards). They named themselves The Critters in emulation of similar band names like the Animals.
The Critters were originally signed to Musicor Records by Jimmy Radcliffe, who also produced their first release "Georgianna" backed with "I'm Gonna Give" in 1964. They eventually signed with Kapp Records, and in 1965 recorded John Sebastian's song "Younger Girl" for their first release. The song was selected for the band by producer Artie Ripp. However, because Ciccone, Ryan, and Podstawski were then all accepted at Villanova University, the record was not completed until late 1965. "Younger Girl" became a minor pop hit in early 1966, and reached #38 in the UK Singles Chart in July that year. It was followed by Ciccone's song "Mr. Dieingly Sad", also produced by Ripp, which reached #17 later in the year, and by "Bad Misunderstanding", which reached #55 still later in 1966. The group had their final chart hit with "Don't Let the Rain Fall Down on Me" in 1967, at #39.
"So Sad" is a song by English musician George Harrison, released on his 1974 album Dark Horse. Harrison originally gave the song to Alvin Lee, guitarist and singer with Ten Years After, who recorded it, as "So Sad (No Love of His Own)", with singer Mylon LeFevre for their 1973 album On the Road to Freedom. Harrison wrote "So Sad" in New York in 1972 and it is the only song known to have been written by him about the failure of his first marriage, to Pattie Boyd.
Harrison recorded his version of the song at the couple's home, Friar Park, in November 1973, eight months before Boyd left him for his friend Eric Clapton. Besides Harrison's extensive contributions, the other musicians on the recording include Nicky Hopkins and Ringo Starr.
John Graas (March 14, 1917– April 13, 1962) was an American jazz French horn player, composer, and arranger. Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Graas had a short but busy career on the West Coast, known primarily as one of the first and best French horn players in jazz.
Graas had classical training, including attendance at the Tanglewood Music Center, where he performed under the tutelage of Serge Koussevitsky. He soon became interested in jazz and studied ways to bring jazz and classical music together, an early effort at what would later be called Third Stream music. Following the path of his dual interests, he was a member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (1941), the Claude Thornhill Orchestra (1942), the Army Air Corps band during World War II (1942–1945), the Cleveland Orchestra (1945–1946), the Tex Beneke Orchestra (1946–1949), and the Stan Kenton Orchestra (1950–1953). After this, Graas settled in Los Angeles, finding work as a studio musician but also now able to work with kindred spirits on the innovative side of West Coast jazz, including Shorty Rogers, Jimmy Giuffre, Gerry Mulligan, Art Pepper, Buddy Collette, and Shelly Manne, all of whom were involved in efforts to blend jazz with elements of classical music.
Extra Credit is a 2009 children's novel written by Andrew Clements. The work was first published on June 23, 2009 through Simon & Schuster and follows a young schoolgirl who is given the option of receiving extra credit by writing to an overseas pen pal in a small Afghanistan village. The book won a Christopher Award for Books for Young People in 2010.
It isn’t that Abby Carson can’t do her schoolwork. She just doesn’t like doing it. And in February a warning letter arrives at her home. Abby will have to repeat sixth grade—unless she meets some specific conditions, including taking on an extra-credit project to find a pen pal in a distant country. Seems simple enough, but when Abby’s first letter arrives at a small school in Afghanistan, the village elders agree that any letters going back to America must be written well. In English. And the only qualified student is a boy, Sadeed Bayat. Except in this village, it is not proper for a boy to correspond with a girl. So Sadeed’s younger sister will write the letters. Except she knows hardly any English. So Sadeed must write the letters for his sister to sign. But what about the villagers who believe that girls should not be anywhere near a school? And what about those who believe that any contact with Americans is . . . unhealthy? Not so simple. But as letters flow back and forth—between the prairies of Illinois and the mountains of central Asia, across cultural and religious divides, through the minefields of different lifestyles and traditions—a small group of children begin to speak and listen to one another. And in just a few short weeks, they make important discoveries about their communities, about their world, and most of all, about themselves.

These are two of the original band who recorded Beg Borrow and Steal. It was released under names Rare Breed and Ohio Express. This is NOT a cover. People who recorded this record were: John Freno, Barry Stolnick, Alexander "Botts" Norbit, Joel Feigenbaum and Tony Cambria. The record did not sell when released under the "Attack" label, but sold about a half a million copies under "Cameo Parkway". We've also put the other song we recorded on YouTube, Lightning Doesn't Strike Twice. A picture of the original 5 who recorded these songs can be seen at http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bandorig1isel9.jpg
The sad truth is that hypnosis is a fairly misunderstood practice. When many people think of hypnosis, they think of either: A) The myth of the "evil hypnotist," taking away peoples' free will, and hypnotizing them into doing something immoral, or humiliating, or- B) The stage hypnotist who will get them to behave out-of-character in public for the purpose of entertainment. But the truth is far more optimistic, complex, and useful than either of these images would suggest. For one thing, readers can rest assured that there is no way for people to be hypnotized in to evil activities (as the story goes with the villainous hypnotist). And stage hypnosis differs greatly from the clinical hypnosis that is used in treating medical conditions. Clinical hypnosis is, in fact, a valid medical too...

Poor Mr Sad
He's flown away
In search of his heaven now
Heaven knows why
And Mr Sad
Left me a note to say
If he finds his heaven now
He won't have time to cry
So I'm gonna fly, fly, fly away
On my wings I made
Out of sorrows I threw away, away
Maybe, I'll be back one day
Who knows
Poor Mr Sad
He lives for dreams
He's out of his mind it seems
With schemes that gleam
Too bright for me
But what the hell
I've nothing to lose
I built my wings today
So I say
Please wait for me
Because I'm gonna fly
So I'm gonna fly, fly, fly away
On my wings I made
Out of sorrows I threw away, away
Maybe, I'll be back one day
Who knows
Poor Mr Sad
Gliding in the sky
You flew to your heaven now
Now I know why
I flew in search
Of years I left behind
But something
That's in your mind
Is something nobody can take away
