Internships

At Towson, learning takes many forms.

Experience is the best teacher. It only makes sense that a university dedicated to your academic and professional success also encourages students to pursue internships. Through an internship, you will explore career options, test your choice of major and develop professional skills and experience. TU students sometimes even turn internships into careers.

students gain experience both on and off campus.

With the help of our Career Center, more than 5,000 TU students earn college credit each year for their internships or experiential learning courses. Many other students pursue non-credit internships in their fields.

Because we are located in the heart of Towson, just minutes from Baltimore and less than an hour from Washington, D.C., you’ll have access to a wide variety of government, corporate, entrepreneurial, cultural and health care opportunities. We also have a strong network of area business that actively seek our students.

Towson students have interned for local, regional, and national employers including Legg Mason, the White House, the Nature Conservancy, Johns Hopkins Hospital, National Institutes of Health, MTV, C-SPAN, The Today Show, the Baltimore Orioles, and the National Aquarium
