The Australian Dollar fell after a soft retail sales report. What might have passed as a routine swing in a volatile series seemed to be a good enough excuse for a pullback after the currency hit a two-month high last. The on-coming RBA rate decision may have accounted for investors' cautious disposition.
The central bank is widely expected to stay its hand for now but the tone of the accompanying statement may remain cautious despite recently upbeat economic data and three consecutive quarters of firming inflation. This may highlight the extent to which global policymakers are held hostage but US fiscal uncertainty.
The US Dollar is the medium of exchange for close to 80 percent of global transactions (according to the BIS). This means that if the Fed raises borrowing costs, lending conditions are likely to tighten worldwide. For its' part, the FOMC's next move is heavily dependent on of what comes out of the White House.
The RBNZ might similarly disappoint the hawks. Where the RBA is seen in wait-and-see mode, Graeme Wheeler and company are projected to hike rates at least once over the coming 12 months. That expectation may fizzle if officials seem to have their hands tied by global instability, hurting the Kiwi Dollar.
Needless to say, this conundrum is hardly unique to Australia and New Zealand, meaning that news-flow from Washington, DC is set to remain at the forefront. This elevates erratic volatility risk and may invariably give way to blanket risk aversion as traders back away from an unusually clouded landscape until greater clarity emerges.

US President Barack Obama was interrupted by at least four women during a speech about his administration's immigration policy in Chicago, Tuesday.
Speaking at a predominantly Polish community centre, Obama was talking about his decision to relieve deportation laws for millions of undocumented immigrants at Chicago's Copernicus Centre. When he tried to explain why deportation rates of 'criminals, not families' rose up to 80 percent, the president was interrupted.
"Sorry, Mr president but that has been a lie. You have deported families," one woman shouted, with another chanting "Not one more, stop deportations!". Obama tried to calm down the hecklers, as they continued yelling.

This is a school project obviously^^
Genius Hour is a project we did in language arts class, where we can pick something to research and do a presentation after a few weeks. This is my idea pitch with the leading question of "Where do you draw the line between a mental disorder and just being human?".
Of course I don't mean serious illnesses like hearing voices and such, but some things like depression, anxiety, stockholm syndrome and luma syndrome are actually normal or normal after experiencing certain things. Over 80 percent of people held captive experience symptoms of stockholm syndrome, so shouldn't it be a normal human trait to have when being held captive? it's simply how we work. Of course I haven't researched the subject yet, so i'll make another video later and link it in the description when I reach a conclusion through my research.

On May 11, 2015 Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG) and Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), together with the French Embassy in Italy, are organizing the international conference "Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security" under the patronage of Commissariat Général de la France at Expo 2015. The conference will be held at FEEM, in Milan at 6:30 p.m.
Climate change directly impacts agricultural production. It triggers accelerated growth and early flowering in certain plants as well as changes in the rural agricultural calendar and viticultural practices. In addition to changes to the species’ growth itself, they are also increasingly impacted by the spread of pathogens and pests over a wider geographic area and the decrease in usable water and land resources. While crops in some parts of the world benefit from the changing climate, anthropogenic climate change is posing an overall negative impact on agriculture and the food security that is dependent on it.
Agriculture and food will play a prominent role in the post-2015 development agenda. The agro-food sector alone accounts for some 80 percent of total freshwater use, 30 percent of total energy demand, and 12-30 percent of man-made greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. With global food production expected to increase 70 percent by 2050, the sector is facing unprecedented resource pressures, with more on the horizon.
A sustainable development path for future food systems will require transformative changes in technologies, policies and behavior of all actors along the whole food chain. New technologies and new business models for farming and food processing will need to play a major role. R&D; investment in the agro-food sector is a prerequisite for achieving a sustainable intensification of agriculture and wise investments would need to become available in the next 10-20 years.
Agriculture and its associated food practices play a two-sided role in the climate change challenge. On the one hand, agriculture is in itself a major contributor to the atmospheric greenhouse gases that cause climate change. On the other hand, crops also capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and sequester it, thereby mitigating part of the greenhouse gas effect.
Whether the goal is climate change mitigation or adaptation, we need to develop strategies that intelligently manage agriculture and food supply. This is essential if we are to ensure that the ten billion people who will inhabit this planet by 2050 have access to sufficient and nutritious food. And that this access is sustainable.

District energy systems distribute thermal energy (steam, hot water, and/or chilled water) through a network of underground pipes to multiple buildings in an area, such as a downtown district, college or hospital campus. By aggregating the heating and air conditioning supply for multiple buildings, district energy systems optimize thermal energy efficiency. Moreover, they can use surplus heat from power plants, industrial processes and local renewable sources to cut emissions, reduce energy consumption and strengthen local economies. Combined heat and power (CHP) refers to facilities that simultaneously generate electricity and useful heat, thereby achieving very high efficiencies—more than 80 percent in many cases. Microgrids are robust electricity networks that can be operated in parallel with, or independently of, the utility grid. These three technologies complement each other and can be implemented together, optimizing the whole energy system and creating much greater resilience, which is especially important when extreme weather events occur.

Speakers from the Department of Energy, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the Congressional Research Service (CRS) gave an overview of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's (EERE) budget request, explained the EERE Office budget priorities, and provided context on how these priorities and trends compare to prior years.
The 2017 proposed budget seeks $7.7 billion for clean energy research at 12 federal agencies, with the Department of Energy receiving the bulk of the funding (80 percent). The proposed budget would increase DOE's budget 10 percent over 2016 estimated levels, to $32.5 billion. It recommends increasing the budget for DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy 40 percent over 2016 enacted levels, to $2.9 billion. The proposed budget also would increase funding for the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) by 72 percent (ARPA-E funds the development of energy technologies that are not deemed ready for market investment).

Renewable energy
Renewable energy is generally defined as energy that is collected from resources which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. Renewable energy often provides energy in four important areas: electricity generation, air and water heating/cooling, transportation, and rural (off-grid) energy services.
Based on REN21's 2014 report, renewables contributed 19 percent to humans' global energy consumption and 22 percent to their generation of electricity in 2012 and 2013, respectively. This energy consumption is divided as 9% coming from traditional biomass, 4.2% as heat energy (non-biomass), 3.8% hydro electricity and 2% is electricity from wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass. Worldwide investments in renewable technologies amounted to more than US$214 billion in 2013, with countries like China and the United States heavily investing in wind, hydro, solar and biofuels.

Energy
In physics, energy is a property of objects which can be transferred to other objects or converted into different forms, but cannot be created or destroyed. The "ability of a system to perform work" is a common description, but it is difficult to give one single comprehensive definition of energy because of its many forms. For instance, in SI units, energy is measured in joules, and one joule is defined "mechanically", being the energy transferred to an object by the mechanical work of moving it a distance of 1 metre against a force of 1 newton. However, there are many other definitions of energy, depending on the context, such as thermal energy, radiant energy, electromagnetic, nuclear, etc., where definitions are derived that are the most convenient.
Common energy forms include the kinetic energy of a moving object, the potential energy stored by an object's position in a force field (gravitational, electric or magnetic), the elastic energy stored by stretching solid objects, the chemical energy released when a fuel burns, the radiant energy carried by light, and the thermal energy due to an object's temperature. All of the many forms of energy are convertible to other kinds of energy, and obey the law of conservation of energy which says that energy can be neither created nor be destroyed; however, it can change from one form to another.

New technologies and new business models for farming and food processing will need to play a major role. R&D; investment in the agro-food sector is a prerequisite for achieving a sustainable intensification of agriculture and wise investments would need to become available in the next 10-20 years. Agriculture and its associated food practices play a two-sided role in the climate change challenge. On the one hand, agriculture is in itself a major contributor to the atmospheric greenhouse gases that cause climate change. On the other hand, crops also capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and sequester it, thereby mitigating part of the greenhouse gas effect. Whether the goal is climate change mitigation or adaptation, we need to develop strategies that intelligently manage agriculture and food supply. This is essential if we are to ensure that the ten billion people who will inhabit this planet by 2050 have access to sufficient and nutritious food. And that this access is sustainable. By aggregating the heating and air conditioning supply for multiple buildings, district energy systems optimize thermal energy efficiency. Moreover, they can use surplus heat from power plants, industrial processes and local renewable sources to cut emissions, reduce energy consumption and strengthen local economies. Combined heat and power (CHP) refers to facilities that simultaneously generate electricity and useful heat, thereby achieving very high efficiencies—more than 80 percent in many cases. Microgrids are robust electricity networks that can be operated in parallel with, or independently of, the utility grid. It recommends increasing the budget for DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy 40 percent over 2016 enacted levels, to $2.9 billion. The proposed budget also would increase funding for the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) by 72 percent (ARPA-E funds the development of energy technologies that are not deemed ready for market investment).

Genius Hour Pitch; Mental Disorders
This is a school project obviously^^ Genius Hour is a project we did in language arts class, where we can pick something to research and do a presentation after a few weeks. This is my idea pitch with the leading question of "Where do you draw the line between a mental disorder and just being human?". Of course I don't mean serious illnesses like hearing voices and such, but some things like depression, anxiety, stockholm syndrome and luma syndrome are actually normal or normal after experiencing certain things. Over 80 percent of people held captive experience symptoms of stockholm syndrome, so shouldn't it be a normal human trait to have when being held captive? it's simply how we work. This may highlight the extent to which global policymakers are held hostage but US fiscal uncertainty.
The US Dollar is the medium of exchange for close to 80 percent of global transactions (according to the BIS). This means that if the Fed raises borrowing costs, lending conditions are likely to tighten worldwide. For its' part, the FOMC's next move is heavily dependent on of what comes out of the White House.
The RBNZ might similarly disappoint the hawks. Where the RBA is seen in wait-and-see mode, Graeme Wheeler and company are projected to hike rates at least once over the coming 12 months. That expectation may fizzle if officials seem to have their hands tied by global instability, hurting the Kiwi Dollar.
Needless to say, this conundrum is hardly unique to Australia and New Zealand, meaning that news-flow from Washington, DC is set to remain at the forefront. This elevates erratic volatility risk and may invariably give way to blanket risk aversion as traders back away from an unusually clouded landscape until greater clarity emerges.

Genius Hour is a project we did in language arts class, where we can pick something to research and do a presentation after a few weeks. This is my idea pitch with the leading question of "Where do you draw the line between a mental disorder and just being human?".
Of course I don't mean serious illnesses like hearing voices and such, but some things like depression, anxiety, stockholm syndrome and luma syndrome are actually normal or normal after experiencing certain things. Over 80 percent of people held captive experience symptoms of stockholm syndrome, so shouldn't it be a normal human trait to have when being held captive? it's simply how we work. Of course I haven't researched the subject yet, so i'll make another video later and link it in the description when I reach a conclusion through my research.

On May 11, 2015 Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG) and Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), together with the French Embassy in Italy, are organizing the international conference "Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security" under the patronage of Commissariat Général de la France at Expo 2015. The conference will be held at FEEM, in Milan at 6:30 p.m.
Climate change directly impacts agricultural production. It triggers accelerated growth and early flowering in certain plants as well as changes in the rural agricultural calendar and viticultural practices. In addition to changes to the species’ growth itself, they are also increasingly impacted by the spread of pathogens and pests over a wider geographic area and the decrease in usable water and land resources. While crops in some parts of the world benefit from the changing climate, anthropogenic climate change is posing an overall negative impact on agriculture and the food security that is dependent on it.
Agriculture and food will play a prominent role in the post-2015 development agenda. The agro-food sector alone accounts for some 80 percent of total freshwater use, 30 percent of total energy demand, and 12-30 percent of man-made greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. With global food production expected to increase 70 percent by 2050, the sector is facing unprecedented resource pressures, with more on the horizon.
A sustainable development path for future food systems will require transformative changes in technologies, policies and behavior of all actors along the whole food chain. New technologies and new business models for farming and food processing will need to play a major role. R&D; investment in the agro-food sector is a prerequisite for achieving a sustainable intensification of agriculture and wise investments would need to become available in the next 10-20 years.
Agriculture and its associated food practices play a two-sided role in the climate change challenge. On the one hand, agriculture is in itself a major contributor to the atmospheric greenhouse gases that cause climate change. On the other hand, crops also capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and sequester it, thereby mitigating part of the greenhouse gas effect.
Whether the goal is climate change mitigation or adaptation, we need to develop strategies that intelligently manage agriculture and food supply. This is essential if we are to ensure that the ten billion people who will inhabit this planet by 2050 have access to sufficient and nutritious food. And that this access is sustainable.

District energy systems distribute thermal energy (steam, hot water, and/or chilled water) through a network of underground pipes to multiple buildings in an area, such as a downtown district, college or hospital campus. By aggregating the heating and air conditioning supply for multiple buildings, district energy systems optimize thermal energy efficiency. Moreover, they can use surplus heat from power plants, industrial processes and local renewable sources to cut emissions, reduce energy consumption and strengthen local economies. Combined heat and power (CHP) refers to facilities that simultaneously generate electricity and useful heat, thereby achieving very high efficiencies—more than 80 percent in many cases. Microgrids are robust electricity networks that can be operated in parallel with, or independently of, the utility grid. These three technologies complement each other and can be implemented together, optimizing the whole energy system and creating much greater resilience, which is especially important when extreme weather events occur.

Speakers from the Department of Energy, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the Congressional Research Service (CRS) gave an overview of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's (EERE) budget request, explained the EERE Office budget priorities, and provided context on how these priorities and trends compare to prior years.
The 2017 proposed budget seeks $7.7 billion for clean energy research at 12 federal agencies, with the Department of Energy receiving the bulk of the funding (80 percent). The proposed budget would increase DOE's budget 10 percent over 2016 estimated levels, to $32.5 billion. It recommends increasing the budget for DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy 40 percent over 2016 enacted levels, to $2.9 billion. The proposed budget also would increase funding for the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) by 72 percent (ARPA-E funds the development of energy technologies that are not deemed ready for market investment).

Syria: Syrian forces liberate strategic Masaken Hanano district in east Aleppo
The Syrian Arab Army advanced into the formerly rebel-held Masaken Hanano district in east Aleppo, on Friday. According to local sources, Syrian forces have liberated between 60 and 80 percent of the area. After heavy shelling, Syrian troops with the support of local military groups, succeeded to capture the Masaken Hanano district. From there, Syrian forces will be able to advance further into the eastern regions of Aleppo. The Masaken Hanano district is the biggest in Aleppo and has been one of the main bases for Jabhat al-Nusra militants and its allies. The majority of the extremist group members have left the area, but a large number of civilians remain besieged inside. Sumner Redstone Removes Viacom's Chief Executive

"A new Marketplace-Edison Research poll published Tuesday found that a full 71 percent of respondents agree that the economy is rigged, affirming the popular rhetoric of the current presidential campaign season.
The majority opinion held firm across ethnicity, class, age, and gender differences. A whopping 83 percent of African Americans polled agreed that the economy is rigged, and 80 percent of people ages 18-24 also held that opinion.
The poll, which has been tracking rising economic anxiety, discovered that most Americans agree that the economy was better for their parents' generation, and believe that the economy will be worse for the next generation.
Perhaps the perception of a rigged economy is because people are working harder for increasingly less financial security.
The poll found that nearly one-quarter of respondents hadn't taken a single vacation for over five years, while nearly 50 percent also confirmed fearing that they might lose their job within the next 12 months.
Moreover, 71 percent said they were afraid of an unexpected medical bill and 53 percent feared being unable to make a mortgage payment. Of renters, 60 percent fear being unable to pay rent.”*

RIO DE JANEIRO — The Summer Olympics are quickly approaching, and that for Rio de Janeiro seems to be the problem.
When Rio was bidding to host the 2016 Summer Olympics, it promised the International Olympics Committee it would get rid of 80 percent of the sewage found in the city's waterways and would fully regenerate the lagoon where rowing and kayaking events would be held.
After an in-depth report by ESPN's Outside The Lines, things are not looking so good. Outside The Lines' Bonnie Ford checks out several locations where the water is filled with garbage.
Rio 2016 spokeswoman Mario Andrada told Ford, "It's not going to happen because there was not enough commitment, funds and energy."
Andrada went on, "However, we finally got something that the bay has been missing for generations, which is public will for the cleaning."
"Nobody wants to have guests at their house and show a dirty house. So if we're not able to reach the target, we need to keep working until the last minute and make sure that the athletes can compete in safe waters, and we've been doing this."
The problem is that Rio's waters are still teeming with bacteria and viral pathogens.
Athletes have been asked to get hepatitis A vaccinations, polio vaccine boosters and to take the oral typhoid vaccine. Boats and oar handles will be consistently cleaned with bleach after practices and competitions.
Athletes will also have to douse themselves with hand sanitizer as well as shower immediately after races.
With the Summer Games only months away, can Rio clean up its act?

Puri (About this sound listen (help·info)) (Odia: ପୁରୀ) is a city and a municipality in the state of Odisha in eastern India. It is the district headquarters of Puri district and is situated on the Bay of Bengal, 60 kilometres (37 mi) south of the state capital of Bhubaneswar. It is also known as Jagannath Puri after the 12th-century Jagannath Temple located in the city. It is one of the original Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus.
Puri is known by several names since the ancient times, and was locally known as "Shrikhetra" and Lord Jagannath temple is known as "Badadeula". Puri and the Jagannath Temple were invaded 18 times by Hindu and Muslim rulers, from the 4th century AD till the early 19th century with the objective of looting the treasures of the temple. Odisha, including Puri and its temple, were under the British Raj from 1803 till India attained independence in August 1947. Even though princely states do not exist in India today the heirs of the Gajapati Dynasty of Khurda still perform the ritual duties of the temple. The temple town has many Hindu religious maths or monasteries.
The economy of Puri town is dependent on the religious importance of the Jagannath Temple to the extent of nearly 80 percent. The 24 festivals, including 13 major ones, held every year in the temple complex contribute to the economy; Ratha Yatra and its related festivals are the most important which are attended by millions of people every year. Sand art and applique art are some of the important crafts of the city.
Puri has been chosen as one of the heritage cities for Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) scheme of Government of India.

---A new Marketplace-Edison Research poll published Tuesday found that a full 71 percent of respondents agree that the economy is rigged, affirming the popular rhetoric of the current presidential campaign season.
The majority opinion held firm across ethnicity, class, age, and gender differences. A whopping 83 percent of African Americans polled agreed that the economy is rigged, and 80 percent of people ages 18-24 also held that opinion.
The poll, which has been tracking rising economic anxiety, discovered that most Americans agree that the economy was better for their parents' generation, and believe that the economy will be worse for the next generation.---

The Syrian Arab Army advanced into the formerly rebel-held Masaken Hanano district in east Aleppo, on Friday. According to local sources, Syrian forces have liberated between 60 and 80 percent of the area.
After heavy shelling, Syrian troops with the support of local military groups, succeeded to capture the Masaken Hanano district. From there, Syrian forces will be able to advance further into the eastern regions of Aleppo.
The Masaken Hanano district is the biggest in Aleppo and has been one of the main bases for Jabhat al-Nusra militants and its allies. The majority of the extremist group members have left the area, but a large number of civilians remain besieged inside.

The RBNZ might similarly disappoint the hawks. Where the RBA is seen in wait-and-see mode, Graeme Wheeler and company are projected to hike rates at least once over the coming 12 months. That expectation may fizzle if officials seem to have their hands tied by global instability, hurting the Kiwi Dollar.
Needless to say, this conundrum is hardly unique to Australia and New Zealand, meaning that news-flow from Washington, DC is set to remain at the forefront. This elevates erratic volatility risk and may invariably give way to blanket risk aversion as traders back away from an unusually clouded landscape until greater clarity emerges.

AMERICUS - Simply put, Daryl Davis was perfect. Davis connected on all 12 of his shot attempts en route to a career-high 31 points as Georgia Southwestern fought off North Georgia for an 84-78 victory on Thursday evening in the Storm Dome.
GSW has won three straight games and improves to 15-3 overall and 7-2 in the Peach Belt Conference. North Georgia drops its third straight to fall to 6-9 overall and 3-6 in PBC play.
After falling behind 7-2 to open the contest, Southwestern went on a 14-2 run spurred by a pair of Johathan Brooks 3-point baskets.
UNG answered the Hurricanes run with a 12-0 run of their own. GSW was held scoreless for four minutes before Davis ended the drought with a 3-point play. Southwestern regained the lead and eventually built its largest cushion of the first half, 36-28, with 1:34 to go before the break. The Hurricanes maintained the eight-point lead and took a 38-30 advantage into halftime.
The two sides exchanged baskets in the opening minute of the second period before Brooks knocked down a 3-pointer to give GSW its largest lead of the night at 43-32 with 18:55 to play.
UNG would not go away and the Nighthawks clawed their way back into the game. An Ishmael Hollis dunk at the 12:45 mark put UNG back on top, 53-52.
Another 3-point play from Davis a few possessions later put the Hurricanes ahead for good with 8:39 to play.
GSW was unable to stretch the margin beyond five points until the final minute of the game.
Southwestern shot 52.9 percent from the floor in the contest while North Georgia rebounded from a 31.4 percent first half to finish the game at 44.1 percent. The Nighthawks struggled from long range, connecting on 3 of 17 attempts. Both sides were efficient from the free throw line, making over 80 percent. GSW made a season-high 25 from the charity stripe.
North Georgia held a slight advantage in rebounding (35-32) and bench points (19-13).
Davis jumps from 10th in the conference in field goal percentage to second after his performance against the Nighthawks. In addition, he made 7 of 8 from the free throw line, grabbed seven rebounds, collected three steals and swatted away a pair of UNG shots. Brooks came up two points shy of his season high with a 20-point effort on Thursday. Alan Arnett chipped in 18 points, six rebounds and four blocks.
Hollis paced UNG with 22 points and eight rebounds. Corey Green added 14 points and Lamar Richardson scored 10.

An athlete of the century, a long-range shooting folk hero and the school's most talented brother combination were formally inducted into the Western Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 17, 2014.
The foursome includes softball centerfielder Jen Brandolini-Register, who led the Vikings to the school's first team national title in 1998; men's basketball guard Ron Radliff, who gained fame for his 3-point shooting as a professional player in Australia, and brothers Jacob and Jared Stevenson, who combined to score 3,048 points in men's basketball at WWU.
The four inductees bring the hall's membership to 129.
JEN BRANDOLINI-REGISTER
Brandolini-Register was named WWU Softball Player of the Century for 1900-99, helping the Vikings win the 1998 NAIA National Championship, the school's first team national title in any sport. She finished her four-year career holding and/or sharing 25 school records, including 125 runs scored, 105 stolen bases and a .347 batting average.
Brandolini-Register was named to the NAIA National All-Tournament team and the Pacific Northwest Athletic Conference Hitter of the Year in 1998. She hit from the left side for the first time that season, leading the conference in batting (.431), hits (69), runs scored (44) and stolen bases (30).
A four-time conference all-star, Brandolini-Register led WWU to a conference title as a freshman.
RON RADLIFF
Radliff played 10 seasons professionally in Australia's National Basketball League, seven with the Brisbane Bullets and three with the Gold Coast Rollers.
Radliff helped Brisbane win NBL championships in 1985 and 1987 as player and another in 2007 as an assistant coach.
Known as "Ron the Rat," Radliff finished his career with 3,759 points (14.3 avg.) and 1,034 assists (4.0 avg.), shooting 43.5 percent (639-of-1468) from 3-point range and 83.2 percent (366-of-440) at the free throw line. The 3-point shot was introduced during his second NBL season.
In all, Radliff played and coached in over 900 games in the Australian NBL and his jersey No.22 was retired by both Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Radliff earned NAIA District 1 all-star honorable mention and was the WWU team MVP as a senior in 1979-80. He averaged 13.2 points as "sixth man" that season, setting a school record by shooting 91.1 percent (72-of-79) at the free-throw line.
Radliff earned four letters at WWU from 1976-80.
JARED STEVENSON
When he graduated from WWU in 2000, Jared Stevenson held the men's basketball school career scoring record of 1,728 points. He led the Vikings in points three straight seasons and in assists twice.
A second-team Daktronics West Region all-star as a senior, Stevenson also was a two-time Pacific West Conference all-star and a PacWest academic all-star.
Stevenson played seven seasons professionally with the Bellingham Slam, scoring 1,064 points and handing out 310 assists. He helped the team to two International Basketball League titles.
Prior to his college and professional career, Stevenson was a standout player at Sehome High School, playing on a Mariners' team that went undefeated in 30 games and won the Class 3A State Championship in 1996, the best season in school history. At state, SHS won its tournament games by average of 24.5 points.
Stevenson, a 2001 graduate from WWU in business and economics, has served as the assistant boys basketball coach at Ferndale High School for the last two years.
JACOB STEVENSON
Jacob Stevenson finished his four-year WWU career in 2003 with 1,320 points, 403 assists and 165 steals. He helped the Vikings to their first West Regional title and Elite Eight appearance, being named the regional Most Outstanding Player in 2001 and averaging 22.5 points in four national tournament games.
Stevenson was a first-team Pacific West Conference West Division all-star and Little All-Northwest as a junior that season, averaging team-leading 16.1 points. He received Street & Smith's Pre-Season All-America honorable mention as a senior.
Stevenson was WWU's team MVP, led the Vikings in assists three years and lettered four seasons.
Stevenson has played the last nine seasons (2005-14) with the Bellingham Slam, helping the team to three IBL titles. Prior to this season, he had career totals of 3,710 points (20.3 avg.), 1,038 rebounds (5.7), 796 assists (4.3) and 375 steals (2.0) in 183 games
In 2013, Stevenson, a four-time league all-star, was named 2013 IBL Player of the Year by USBasket.com.
As a senior at Sehome High School, Stevenson was a second-team all-state pick, averaging 18.4 points and 5.1 assists as a senior on a team that placed third at the 1998 Class 4A state tournament.
The Stevenson brothers work together in a business of renovating homes for re-sale. Their combined points for high school, college and professionally are close to 10,000.
