Goodbye, dream
For sale: A contemporary country home near Queenstown: This six-bedroom three-bath home is in Closeburn Station, a 3,000-acre working alpine farm with 27 private homes.
The house, which sits on nearly 1.5 acres, has over 1,615 square feet of outdoor space, including a wrap-around deck. The house overlooks a pond and stream.
Unfortunately, I won't be a candidate for a house like this in the near future. I have to make new plans now

The market is very… muddy
Due to the real estate crisis, and the fact that I am stuck here with quite a few apartment buildings that are losing their value and cannot be sold, my plans of moving to New Zealand are being postponed, at least for a “while”. I am sorry to hear it myself!

Apple Picking
My other niece, Michal, left Israel after serving in the army and has been traveling the world. About 3 months ago she somehow found herself in New Zealand, and she too loves the place. Right now she is picking apples in Nelson area. (Click on photo to enlarge)

Everywhere you go you always take the weather with you
Here is a new collection of links, about Music from New Zealand. I am just discovering it beyond the basics, so this section will start a little thin, and grow as I explore more. Suggestions & recommendations from readers will be especially welcome here
Obviously, my introduction to Kiwi music was through the albums of Split Enz and Crowded house which were spearheaded by Tim Finn and Neil Finn. Like the Grateful Dead, these bands had (and still have) a rabid base of fans, and when I used to go to the Finn brothers concerts, you always met the same people in the audience...
