Sculpture garden
A sculpture garden is an outdoor garden dedicated to the presentation of sculpture, usually several permanently sited works in durable materials in landscaped surroundings.
A sculpture garden may be private, owned by a museum and accessible freely or for a fee, or public and accessible to all. Some cities own large numbers of public sculptures, some of which they may present together in city parks.
Exhibits range from individual, traditional sculptures to large site-specific installations.

Nutibara sculpture park
Sculpture Park (Spanish: Parque de las Esculturas) is a sculpture garden at the foot of Nutibara Hill in Medellín, Colombia and the first of its kind in the country. The park contains 10 modern and abstract sculptures by famous Colombian and international artists such as Edgar Negret (Colombia), Otto Herbert Hajek (Germany), and Sergio de Camargo (Brazil).
Its closest metro station is Industriales. The park is free to the public and is open from 6 am to midnight.
History
Sculpture Park was created in 1983 on the initiative of former Colombian President Belisario Betancur Cuartas, who wanted to turn the area into an important cultural center. In a record time of 15 days in December 1983, invited artists gave life to one of the most ambitious cultural projects in the city. The Museum of Modern Art of Medellin coordinated the installation of a permanent display of sculptures made by 10 national and international artists to be installed in the natural environment of the hill.

Western Gateway Park
Western Gateway Park is an urban park located in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Opened in 2006, the park has served as the host to political rallies, the Des Moines Arts Festival, the 80/35 Music Festival, and various athletic events and festivals.
The central branch of the Des Moines Public Library, Pappajohn Sculpture Park, and the Temple for the Performing Arts are located within the park.

Don’t Blink: Japan’s Abandoned Sculpture Garden
Hidden in the town of Osawano, Japan is a sculpture garden with 800 lifelike statues of Buddhist deities alongside replicas of real people. Commissioned by Mutsuo Furukawa, this collection was recently re-discovered in 2016 by a photographer who stumbled upon the abandoned park. It is said that the people depicted were friends and family of Mutsuo; however, it is unclear whether or not they were aware of their stony clones. The Sculpture Garden Created by Paul and Jeannette Haim | Christie's
In the garden of their home in the south of France Paul Haim and Jeannette Leroy assembled a collection of sculptures by some of the great figures of 20th-century art — and planted it so that they were hidden, discoverable only ‘one after the other’. The garden dates from the late 1960s, when Paul Haim (1921-2006) — a Parisian art dealer and collector known for introducing Japanese audiences to Impressionist and Modern art — bought a small farm on the Basque coast with his wife, the painter and photographer Jeannette Leroy (1928-2020). Within a few years, the garden had grown and become a magical backdrop to a private collection of monumental sculpture, which will be offered for sale at Christie’s in Paris on 22 October. Explore the work of Barbara Hepworth through her home, studio, and garden.
Barbara Hepworth first came to live in Cornwall with her husband and their young family at the outbreak of war in 1939, living and working in Trewyn studios – now the Barbara Hepworth Museum – from 1949 until her death.
Following her wish to establish her home and studio as a museum of her work, Trewyn Studio and much of the artist’s work remaining there was given to the nation and placed in the care of the Tate Gallery in 1980.
'Finding Trewyn Studio was a sort of magic’, wrote Hepworth. ‘Here was a studio, a yard and garden where I could work in open air and space’.

Hidden in the town of Osawano, Japan is a sculpture garden with 800 lifelike statues of Buddhist deities alongside replicas of real people. Commissioned by Mutsuo Furukawa, this collection was recently re-discovered in 2016 by a photographer who stumbled upon the abandoned park. It is said that the people depicted were friends and family of Mutsuo; however, it is unclear whether or not they were aware of their stony clones.

In the garden of their home in the south of France Paul Haim and Jeannette Leroy assembled a collection of sculptures by some of the great figures of 20th-century art — and planted it so that they were hidden, discoverable only ‘one after the other’.
The garden dates from the late 1960s, when Paul Haim (1921-2006) — a Parisian art dealer and collector known for introducing Japanese audiences to Impressionist and Modern art — bought a small farm on the Basque coast with his wife, the painter and photographer Jeannette Leroy (1928-2020).
Within a few years, the garden had grown and become a magical backdrop to a private collection of monumental sculpture, which will be offered for sale at Christie’s in Paris on 22 October. Titled The Secret Garden of Paul Haim, the sale follows an exhibition of the works at Kering’s historic headquarters on the rue de Sèvres from 15-22 October.

Take a walk through BMA’s Alan and Janet Wurtzburger Sculpture Garden and the Ryda and Robert H. Levi Sculpture Garden, open to the public 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. every Tuesday through Sunday, weather permitting.
The Sculpture Gardens are home to 33 masterworks of modern and contemporary sculpture ranging from Auguste Rodin’s striding bronze "Balzac" (1892) to Ellsworth Kelly’s stainless steel arc "Untitled" (1986)—providing a 100-year survey of sculpture from the figural to the abstract.

Sculpture garden
A sculpture garden is an outdoor garden dedicated to the presentation of sculpture, usually several permanently sited works in durable materials in landscaped surroundings.
A sculpture garden may be private, owned by a museum and accessible freely or for a fee, or public and accessible to all. Some cities own large numbers of public sculptures, some of which they may present together in city parks.
Exhibits range from individual, traditional sculptures to large site-specific installations.
