Dance Kahani

Dance Kahani (meaning dance story; previously The Dance Diaries) is an upcoming Pakistani dance film directed and written by Omar Hassan. Dance Kahani is produced by H2O Films and Ion Entertainment in association with Act One. The film stars Madeleine Hanna, Alamdar Khan and Vernin U'chong. Dance Kahani is perhaps the first film exploring the underground dance culture and free running on the streets of Karachi. The film was shot on RED using Carl Zeiss lenses, despite being an independent low budget initiative by a new generation filmmaker from Pakistan. The movie illustrates aspiration, dreams, and talent against the odds.

Plot

"With her dream of pursuing a professional dance career shattered, she must now fight the odds to keep it alive in a society she never wanted to be a part of." This is how Nizzy, an upscale British Pakistani, must survive her predicament.

In a World Like This is the eighth studio album (seventh in the United States) by the Backstreet Boys, released in 2013 through the band's own record label K-BAHN. A follow-up to 2009's This Is Us, it is the first album featuring all five original members since Kevin Richardson left the group in 2006 to focus on his family and pursue other interests. Richardson rejoined the group in 2012. It was also their first independent album since leaving their old label Jive Records in 2010. The album debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200, making the Backstreet Boys the first act since Sade to have nine US top 10 albums, and the only boy band to do so.

On May 20, 2013, the group released "Permanent Stain" as a promotional single, which was co-written by band member Nick Carter. A free download of the song was offered with the purchase of a ticket for their In a World Like This Tour. The first single from the album, also titled "In a World Like This" premiered on Z100 New York on June 18, 2013 and was released on June 25, 2013. To date, the album has sold over 800,000 copies worldwide.

Madeleine (cake)

The madeleine (French pronunciation: ​[mad.lɛn], English /ˈmædleɪn/ or /ˌmædlˈeɪn/) or petite madeleine ([pə.tit mad.lɛn]) is a traditional small cake from Commercy and Liverdun, two communes of the Lorraine region in northeastern France.

Madeleines are very small sponge cakes with a distinctive shell-like shape acquired from being baked in pans with shell-shaped depressions. Aside from the traditional moulded pan, commonly found in stores specialising in kitchen equipment and even hardware stores, no special tools are required to make madeleines.

A génoise cake batter is used. The flavour is similar to, but somewhat lighter than, sponge cake. Traditional recipes include very finely ground nuts, usually almonds. A variation uses lemon zest, for a pronounced lemony taste.

English madeleines also use a génoise sponge but they are baked in dariole moulds. After cooking, the cakes are coated in jam and desiccated coconut, and are usually topped with a glacé cherry.
