Beautiful Creatures (band)

Beautiful Creatures (sometimes abbreviated as BC) are a hard rock band formed in 1999 by guitarist DJ Ashba, formerly of BulletBoys, and singer Joe Lesté of Bang Tango. The group's current lineup (as of 2009) is composed of Lesté (lead vocals), Delta Starr (lead guitar), Anthony Focx (rhythm guitar), Lance Eric (bass) and Justin Sandler (drums). Previously the group featured Kenny Kweens (now of L.A. Guns), Alex Grossi (now of Quiet Riot and Bang Tango), Michael Thomas (now of Adler's Appetite) and Glen Sobel among others while founder DJ Ashba is currently the lead guitarist for both Guns N' Roses and Sixx:A.M.

To date, Beautiful Creatures have released two albums – Beautiful Creatures (2001); Deuce (2005) and have had songs featured on soundtracks for films such as Valentine, Rollerball, The Proposal and also television series such as Smallville and Sons of Anarchy.

Alice Allegra Englert (born 15 June 1994) is an Australian-born actress best known for her roles as Rosa in the film Ginger & Rosa, and as Lena Duchannes in the 2013 film Beautiful Creatures.

Life and career

1994–2008: Early life and career beginnings

Englert was born on 15 June 1994 in Australia. She is the daughter of New Zealand-born, Australia-based director Jane Campion, and Australian filmmaker Colin David Englert. She was raised in Sydney and on locations where her mother's work took the family, explaining, "I’ve spent half my life on planes. I have a lot of love for New Zealand, though. That is where the really arty, whimsical side of the family resided — in hobbitland." She attended schools in New York City, London, New Zealand, Rome and Australia, one of them being Sibford School, a boarding school in Oxfordshire, England. Her parents divorced when she was seven and she made her film debut at the age of eight in Listen, followed, at 12, by her mother's short film "The Water Diary". She left high school to become an actress.

Alden Ehrenreich

Alden Caleb Ehrenreich (born November 22, 1989) is an American actor. He made his feature film debut in Francis Ford Coppola's independent film Tetro (2009) and appeared in Coppola's subsequent film Twixt (2011). In 2013, he appeared in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine, Park Chan-wook's Stoker and starred in Richard LaGravenese's Beautiful Creatures. In 2016, he starred as Hobie Doyle in the Coen brothers comedy Hail, Caesar!

Personal life

Ehrenreich was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Sari (née Newmann), an interior designer, and Mark Ehrenreich. His stepfather, Harry Aronowitz is an orthodontist. He is from a Jewish family (from Austria, Hungary, Russia, and Poland), and was raised in Reconstructionist Judaism.

Ehrenreich began acting at the Palisades Elementary School in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, and continued doing so at Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California. After graduating from high school, he spent years at New York University studying acting but never finished his degree. In 2009, he co-founded the group The Collectin with his friend Zoë Worth in New York The group is made up of group of actors, writers, producers and directors who collaborate on films and theater performances. The group has put on eight theater productions in both New York City and Los Angeles including As the Boat Approaches, a one-act play by Justin Kuritzkes.

Emmy Rossum

Emmanuelle Grey "Emmy" Rossum (born September 12, 1986) is an American actress and singer-songwriter. She has starred in movies including Songcatcher (2000), An American Rhapsody, (2001) and Passionada (2002). Her role in Mystic River (2003) garnered her wider recognition. She starred in the science-fiction film The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and received critical acclaim for her performance in the leading role of Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera (2004). She has since starred in Poseidon (2006), Dragonball: Evolution (2009), Dare (2009) Beautiful Creatures (2013), Before I Disappear (2014) and You're Not You (2014)

In 2007, Rossum released her debut album, Inside Out. She also released a Christmas EP the same year, titled Carol of the Bells. In 2013 she released a follow up album called Sentimental Journey.

She currently stars as Fiona Gallagher, the protagonist on the Showtime dramedy Shameless.

Early life

Rossum was born in Manhattan, New York City. She is the only child of Cheryl Rossum, a single mother who worked as a corporate photographer. Rossum's mother is Jewish (of Russian Jewish descent) and her father is Protestant (of English and Dutch ancestry). Rossum has stated that her mother instilled in her the "Jewish code of ethics and morals". Her parents separated while her mother was pregnant; as of 2007, she had met her father twice. She was named after her great-grandfather, whose first name was Emanuel, using the feminine spelling Emmanuelle. She is a relative, by marriage, of designer Vera Wang (Wang was married to Rossum's cousin).
