Jessica Drake (born October 14, 1974) is the stage name of an American pornographic actress, film director, screenwriter, sex educator, philanthropist and radio personality.
Drake spent much of her early life growing up around the state of Texas in different cities including San Antonio and El Paso.
While majoring in psychology at a college in El Paso, Drake took a job as a house dancer at a local strip club. Through an agency, she later applied to be feature dancer at another club nearby, and here she met adult film director Michael Raven, who was photographing a contest. Raven and his wife Sydnee Steele gradually introduced her to the porn industry. Drake began by posing for magazines and appearing on Playboy TV, and was later taken to a film set, where she was the "condom and lube girl" for a scene starring Jill Kelly and Mark Davis.
In 1999, she made the decision to become an adult film actress and shot her first movie, which was directed by Raven. She spent two years as a contract performer for the studio Sin City until May 31, 2002 when her contract expired. She gained her first AVN Award in 2001, winning "Best Tease Performance" for her role in VCA Pictures' Shayla's Web. In 2003, she signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures, after turning down offers from other companies.
Bryan Matthew Sevilla (born February 7, 1986), better known by his stage name James Deen, in reference to the actor James Dean, is an American pornographic actor and director. He entered the porn industry in 2004 at the age of 18. He has gained attention due to his relatively slender build, lack of tattoos and everyman appeal, bucking the stereotypical image of hypermasculine male actors in the pornography industry.
Deen was born Bryan Sevilla in Los Angeles County, California, and raised in Pasadena, California. His father is a mechanical engineer and his mother is a computer electronic engineer; one of them worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Sevilla graduated from La Cañada High School in 2004. At 17, Deen moved in with his father. He worked at a Starbucks for two years and took classes at Pasadena City College.
According to Deen, performing in pornographic films was his ambition since he was in kindergarten. After entering the pornography industry in 2004, he initially worked with older female performers. In 2009, Deen was named the "Male Performer of the Year" by Adult Video News at the age of 22, making him the youngest actor to have won this award. Deen has a fan-following among teenage girls, a demographic that is typically not associated with the pornographic industry. In February 2012, ABC Nightline aired the feature "Porn's Boy Next Door", which included interviews with both Deen and his fans. One fan described him as the Ryan Gosling of porn. His fans include musician Lorde.
Kayden Kross (born September 15, 1985) is a former American pornographic actress and writer. Kross has won multiple awards for her adult film work.
Kross was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She grew up in the foothills between Sacramento and Placerville. She is of mostly Swedish ancestry. She has described herself as "the book nerd" during her time as a high school student. Kross began stripping at Rick's Showgirls in Rancho Cordova, California when she was eighteen years old to earn extra money to rescue a pony from a slaughter house, which she kept for eight months. She was later contacted by an agent, whose business relationship provided Kross with the opportunity of modeling in adult magazines.
Kross was a senior at California State University, Sacramento when she signed an exclusive performing contract with Vivid Video in November 2006. Her movies with Vivid included Kayden's First Time, Hard Time, and Be Here Now. Unhappy with the company, she became a free agent one year later when she did not renew her contract. She signed an exclusive contract with Adam & Eve after one month of being a free agent. She was named Penthouse Pet of the Month for September 2008. Kross' official website, ClubKayden.com, was launched on September 2, 2008. Kross has hosted a blog at UnKrossed.com, and has written regular updates and opinion columns for MikeSouth.com, an adult industry gossip blog, among other sites.
