ABOUT THE VIDEO:
We’ve written many a song about our hometown of Sydney, and ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is yet another, though this one was created beneath a very dark cloud & a sorely difficult time for our beloved city.
An agenda of sweeping law reforms and increasingly heavy tactics by our state government have crushed the city’s nightlife, the livelihood, and in many cases even the lives of many of its inhabitants. Iconic pubs, bars & restaurants are forced to close their doors, elderly residents are driven from their homes and Sydney is growing more desperate & hostile with every passing day.
This is a city under siege by those who rule her, set to become a playground for the elite, while the people who made it the treasure it was are squeezed out to wherever they hell they may venture.
We performed the video for the song as a macabre ‘dry wake’, set among the decay, in a derelict pub, one of many to fall victim to the states new order. Historic footage flits across the screen like memories of a life flashing before one’s eyes. ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is one last great send-off for the old girl, but make no mistake..
..this is a band falling very much out of love with its muse.

Teledysk do piosenki "One Summers Day" to pierwszy polski klip australijskiej formacji The Rumjacks. Został nakręcony podczas tegorocznego festiwalu w Jarocinie podczas występu grupy oraz ich pobytu. Koncert w Jarocinie otwierał ich europejską trasę i okazał się być jednym z najmocniejszych momentów podczas tegorocznej edycji festiwalu. Muzycy pokochali od razu żywiołową polska publiczność oraz polskie piwo, żywo interesowali się historią festiwalu, co widać na materiale filmowym.
Utwór "One Summers Day" pochodzi z drugiej płyty zespołu "Sobber & Godless" wydanej w Europie przez Lou & Rocked Boys. The Rumjacks o nowej płycie mówią tak: "Czerpiemy bardzo dużo inspiracji z zewnątrz, ale ważne jest dla nas, by powiązać to z tym, co robimy - czyli grać punk rocka z solidnym brzmieniem połączone z celtyckim folkiem. The Rumjacks to grupa celtic-punkowa z Australii. Pomysł utworzenia zespołu narodził się w głowach Frankiego McLaughlina i Johnna McKelveya grających w nim od samego początku a mających w swojej krwi irlandzkie korzenie co również nie było bez znaczenia dla wykonywanej przez nich muzyki. Początkowo jak przy tego typu muzyce można porównywać by ich można do dokonań The Pogues, Billiego Bragga czy The Dropkick Murphys ale z czasem The Rumjacks znalazło swoją drogę kreowaną przez szalone i bezczelne teksty ukazujące brud mrocznych brukowanych ulic Sydney. Mają na koncie kilka epek oraz dwa studyjne albumy "Gangs Of New Holland" (2010) oraz najnowszy "Sober & Godless" (2015)

The video for the song "One Summers Day" is the first Polish clip the Australian group The Rumjacks. It was filmed during this year's festival in Jarocin, during the performance of the group and their stay. Concert in Jarocin opened their European tour and proved to be one of the most powerful moments during this year's festival. The musicians fell in love at once spontaneous Polish audience and Polish beer, vividly interested in the history of the festival, as seen in the footage.
The song "One Summers Day" from the second album of the band "Sobber & Godless" published in Europe by Lou & Rocked Boys label. The Rumjacks about the new album say this: "We draw a lot of inspiration from the outside, but it is important for us to associate it with what we do - that is to play punk rock with a solid sound combined with celtic folk. The Rumjacks a celtic-punk band from Australia. The idea of creating formations born in the minds of Frankie McLaughlin and Johnny McKelvey playing in the band since the beginning and having in their blood Irish roots which also did not was irrelevant that they perform music. Video recorders were sold for $50,000 in 1956, and videotapes cost $300 per one-hour reel. However, prices gradually dropped over the years; in 1971, Sony began selling videocassette recorder (VCR) decks and tapes to the public.

An agenda of sweeping law reforms and increasingly heavy tactics by our state government have crushed the city’s nightlife, the livelihood, and in many cases even the lives of many of its inhabitants. Iconic pubs, bars & restaurants are forced to close their doors, elderly residents are driven from their homes and Sydney is growing more desperate & hostile with every passing day. This is a city under siege by those who rule her, set to become a playground for the elite, while the people who made it the treasure it was are squeezed out to wherever they hell they may venture. We performed the video for the song as a macabre ‘dry wake’, set among the decay, in a derelict pub, one of many to fall victim to the states new order. Historic footage flits across the screen like memories of a life flashing before one’s eyes. ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is one last great send-off for the old girl, but make no mistake.. ..this is a band falling very much out of love with its muse. We’ve written many a song about our hometown of Sydney, and ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is yet another, though this one was created beneath a very dark cloud & a sorely difficult time for our beloved city.
An agenda of sweeping law reforms and increasingly heavy tactics by our state government have crushed the city’s nightlife, the livelihood, and in many cases even the lives of many of its inhabitants. Iconic pubs, bars & restaurants are forced to close their doors, elderly residents are driven from their homes and Sydney is growing more desperate & hostile with every passing day.
This is a city under siege by those who rule her, set to become a playground for the elite, while the people who made it the treasure it was are squeezed out to wherever they hell they may venture.
We performed the video for the song as a macabre ‘dry wake’, set among the decay, in a derelict pub, one of many to fall victim to the states new order. Historic footage flits across the screen like memories of a life flashing before one’s eyes. ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is one last great send-off for the old girl, but make no mistake..
..this is a band falling very much out of love with its muse.

Koncert w Jarocinie otwierał ich europejską trasę i okazał się być jednym z najmocniejszych momentów podczas tegorocznej edycji festiwalu. Muzycy pokochali od razu żywiołową polska publiczność oraz polskie piwo, żywo interesowali się historią festiwalu, co widać na materiale filmowym.
Utwór "One Summers Day" pochodzi z drugiej płyty zespołu "Sobber & Godless" wydanej w Europie przez Lou & Rocked Boys. The Rumjacks o nowej płycie mówią tak: "Czerpiemy bardzo dużo inspiracji z zewnątrz, ale ważne jest dla nas, by powiązać to z tym, co robimy - czyli grać punk rocka z solidnym brzmieniem połączone z celtyckim folkiem. Mamy nadzieję, że przyczynimy się do odrodzenia tego gatunku. Tym razem z jeszcze większą energią."
The Rumjacks to grupa celtic-punkowa z Australii. Pomysł utworzenia zespołu narodził się w głowach Frankiego McLaughlina i Johnna McKelveya grających w nim od samego początku a mających w swojej krwi irlandzkie korzenie co również nie było bez znaczenia dla wykonywanej przez nich muzyki. Początkowo jak przy tego typu muzyce można porównywać by ich można do dokonań The Pogues, Billiego Bragga czy The Dropkick Murphys ale z czasem The Rumjacks znalazło swoją drogę kreowaną przez szalone i bezczelne teksty ukazujące brud mrocznych brukowanych ulic Sydney. Mają na koncie kilka epek oraz dwa studyjne albumy "Gangs Of New Holland" (2010) oraz najnowszy "Sober & Godless" (2015)

The video for the song "One Summers Day" is the first Polish clip the Australian group The Rumjacks. It was filmed during this year's festival in Jarocin, during the performance of the group and their stay. Concert in Jarocin opened their European tour and proved to be one of the most powerful moments during this year's festival. The musicians fell in love at once spontaneous Polish audience and Polish beer, vividly interested in the history of the festival, as seen in the footage.
The song "One Summers Day" from the second album of the band "Sobber & Godless" published in Europe by Lou & Rocked Boys label. The Rumjacks about the new album say this: "We draw a lot of inspiration from the outside, but it is important for us to associate it with what we do - that is to play punk rock with a solid sound combined with celtic folk. We hope to contribute to recovery of such species. This time with more energy. "
The Rumjacks a celtic-punk band from Australia. The idea of creating formations born in the minds of Frankie McLaughlin and Johnny McKelvey playing in the band since the beginning and having in their blood Irish roots which also did not was irrelevant that they perform music. Utwór "One Summers Day" pochodzi z drugiej płyty zespołu "Sobber & Godless" wydanej w Europie przez Lou & Rocked Boys. The Rumjacks o nowej płycie mówią tak: "Czerpiemy bardzo dużo inspiracji z zewnątrz, ale ważne jest dla nas, by powiązać to z tym, co robimy - czyli grać punk rocka z solidnym brzmieniem połączone z celtyckim folkiem. Mamy nadzieję, że przyczynimy się do odrodzenia tego gatunku. Tym razem z jeszcze większą energią."
The Rumjacks to grupa celtic-punkowa z Australii. Pomysł utworzenia zespołu narodził się w głowach Frankiego McLaughlina i Johnna McKelveya grających w nim od samego początku a mających w swojej krwi irlandzkie korzenie co również nie było bez znaczenia dla wykonywanej przez nich muzyki. Początkowo jak przy tego typu muzyce można porównywać by ich można do dokonań The Pogues, Billiego Bragga czy The Dropkick Murphys ale z czasem The Rumjacks znalazło swoją drogę kreowaną przez szalone i bezczelne teksty ukazujące brud mrocznych brukowanych ulic Sydney. Mają na koncie kilka epek oraz dwa studyjne albumy "Gangs Of New Holland" (2010) oraz najnowszy "Sober & Godless" (2015)

The video for the song "One Summers Day" is the first Polish clip the Australian group The Rumjacks. It was filmed during this year's festival in Jarocin, during the performance of the group and their stay. Concert in Jarocin opened their European tour and proved to be one of the most powerful moments during this year's festival. The musicians fell in love at once spontaneous Polish audience and Polish beer, vividly interested in the history of the festival, as seen in the footage.
The song "One Summers Day" from the second album of the band "Sobber & Godless" published in Europe by Lou & Rocked Boys label. The Rumjacks about the new album say this: "We draw a lot of inspiration from the outside, but it is important for us to associate it with what we do - that is to play punk rock with a solid sound combined with celtic folk. We hope to contribute to recovery of such species. This time with more energy. "
The Rumjacks a celtic-punk band from Australia. The idea of creating formations born in the minds of Frankie McLaughlin and Johnny McKelvey playing in the band since the beginning and having in their blood Irish roots which also did not was irrelevant that they perform music. Initially, as with this type of music can be compared to them you can to make the Pogues, Billy Bragg and The Dropkick Murphys but with time The Rumjacks found its way created by crazy and cheeky texts show the dirt dark cobbled streets of Sydney. They have released several EPs and two studio albums, "Gangs Of New Holland" (2010) and the latest "Sober & Godless" (2015)

ABOUT THE VIDEO:
We’ve written many a song about our hometown of Sydney, and ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is yet another, though this one was created beneath a very dark cloud & a sorely difficult time for our beloved city.
An agenda of sweeping law reforms and increasingly heavy tactics by our state government have crushed the city’s nightlife, the livelihood, and in many cases even the lives of many of its inhabitants. Iconic pubs, bars & restaurants are forced to close their doors, elderly residents are driven from their homes and Sydney is growing more desperate & hostile with every passing day.
This is a city under siege by those who rule her, set to become a playground for the elite, while the people who made it the treasure it was are squeezed out to wherever they hell they may venture.
We performed the video for the song as a macabre ‘dry wake’, set among the decay, in a derelict pub, one of many to fall victim to the states new order. Historic footage flits across the screen like memories of a life flashing before one’s eyes. ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’ is one last great send-off for the old girl, but make no mistake..
..this is a band falling very much out of love with its muse.
