Kit Hoover

Catherine "Kit" Hoover (born July 29, 1970) is an American television personality, sportscaster and broadcast journalist, best known for her stints on Fox News Channel and ESPN. It was announced in September 2010 that Hoover would begin co-hosting Access Hollywood with Billy Bush on September 13, 2010, replacing Nancy O'Dell. Hoover attended high school in Atlanta at Marist, where she was a track star, winning three years consecutively both the mile and two mile runs.

Hoover earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She has guest hosted on The View. She has been a correspondent for TV Guide; a host on TLC's Real Simple Real Life; a sideline reporter on Shaq Vs and host of Six Flags TV.

Career

Hoover made her television debut as a cast member on Road Rules: USA – The First Adventure, the inaugural season of MTV's Road Rules in July 1995, a reality television series that followed five college-age cast members crisscrossing the country in a Winnebago.

Meredith Vieira

Meredith Louise Vieira (born December 30, 1953) is an American journalist and talk show and game show host. She is known for serving as the original moderator of the ABC talk show The View (1997–2006), and for co-hosting the long-running NBC News morning news program Today (2006–11). She is also known for being the original host of the U.S. syndicated version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, for contributing to Dateline NBC, Rock Center with Brian Williams, and for presenting Lifetime Television's Intimate Portrait series.

Vieira is a special correspondent for NBC News, contributor to Today, NBC Nightly News and Dateline NBC, and host of The Meredith Vieira Show.

Early life

Vieira was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and raised in nearby East Providence, the daughter of Mary Elsie Rosa, a homemaker, and Edwin Vieira, a medical doctor, both first-generation Portuguese Americans. She is the youngest of four children, with three older brothers. All four of Vieira’s grandparents came from the Azores — three from Faial Island, one of the nine islands in the archipelago. The family name Vieira means "scallop" in Portuguese. They all emigrated for a better life in New England in the late-19th and early-20th centuries, settling around Providence, Rhode Island. Vieira was raised in the Roman Catholic faith, but she has stated in recent interviews that she has "spirituality, not a religion."

Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Joy Handler (born February 25, 1975) is an American comedian, actress, writer, television host, and producer. She hosted a late-night talk show called Chelsea Lately on the E! network from 2007 to 2014, and released a documentary series, Chelsea Does, on Netflix in January 2016. In 2012, Time placed her on the list of its 100 Most Influential People.

Early life

Chelsea Joy Handler was born in Livingston, New Jersey, the youngest of six children of Rita (née Stoecker), a homemaker, and Seymour Handler, a used car dealer. Her American father is Jewish; her German-born mother, who came to the United States in 1958, was a Mormon. Her mother died of breast cancer in 2006. Handler was raised in Reform Judaism and had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. She has said that while growing up she felt like an outsider, recalling, "We lived in this nice Jewish neighborhood...Everyone had Mercedes and Jaguars, and I was going to school in a Pinto."

Handler has two sisters and three brothers; her eldest brother, Chet, died in a hiking accident in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming when she was 9 years old. At age 19, she moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles, California, to pursue acting, and worked meanwhile as a waitress to support herself. At 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy after telling her story about a DUI to a class of other offenders, who found it funny.
