The anarcho-syndicalist union CNT-AIT Barcelona wins a 7 year legal battle against ‘El Corte Ingles’, a huge retail chainstore linked to far right ex-fascist families. The IECISA computing sector has now been banned from working in the public sector for 3 years and loses its contracts, costing the companies 700m euros a year.
Tarcoteca Translation of: http:/…cnt-de-barcelona-pega-… The Union Section of CNT through the ‘Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Catalonian Generalitat’ [regional government agency] has managed, after 6 years in conflict, to get a ban on contracts with the Computing Dept of the Corte Inglés’ (IECISA) by the public sector for 3 years.
This prohibition, enacted by ‘Work Inspection’ also affects 2 subcontracting companies, Serikat and Cast-Info, and covers contracts and subcontracts with Local, Regional and National Administrations in any member State of the European Union.
Remember that the three companies and the same Catalonian Generalitat were sentenced in 2013, with a final judgment in 2015, for illegal firing of workers and nullified dismissals due to the vulneration of Fundamental Rights (freedom of association, right to strike and right to judical protection).
These facts were considered as Very Serious infringements and reason for disqualification under the ‘Act on Public Sector Contracts’.
During the conflict ECI tried to buy off the comrades with insulting amounts of money, they were moved and finally fired without even paying the current month’s pay.
After the judical sentence to reincorporate them as workers in 2013, the Human Resources dept decided to deny access to their workplace, paying them without going to work for 2 years, since the company is not interested in workers who defend their dignity.
Nevertheless, they still continued campaigning, facing down the outsourcing mafias and their lackeys in the Administration.
All kinds of unpleasent things happened to the companions but all their time invested has finally been worthwhile as the sentence that the Corte Ingles Dept cannot work for 3 years for the public sector will remind them for a long time to avoid a labor dispute with the CNT. Because most of the 700 million euros annual billing by IECISA comes from public contracts.
Hundreds of millions of euros of losses because of their arrogance in believing that three ‘precarious contract’ workers could never face up to them.
We also want to emphasize that the lucrative contracts with which the CTTI (a Generalitat od Catalonia public company) has awarded Cast-Info, is one of the main Serikat customers, and its more recent contract was worth € 1 million with the Catalonian Parlament.
Now they will lose their cushy contracts. At least for 3 years these parasites will not get rich from public money and we have been able to demonstrate the profound contempt we feel for all of them. We’ve made a deep wound and we still dream to completely finishing them off.

Cientos de millones de euros de pérdidas a causa de su prepotencia al creer que tres mileuristas nunca podrían plantarles cara. También queremos hacer hincapié en los contratos millonarios que el CTTI (empresa pública de la Generalitat) ha adjudicado a Cast-Info o como Serikat tiene al Consejo General del Poder Judicial como uno de sus principales clientes o su reciente contrato de más de 1 millón de euros con el Parlament de Catalunya.
Ahora se les acabó el chollo, al menos durante 3 años estos parásitos no van a enriquecerse con dinero público y les hemos podido demostrar el profundo desprecio que sentimos hacia todos ellos. Los hemos dejado muy tocados y aún soñamos con hundirlos totalmente.
