According to the Ministry of Justice's statistics, of foreign residents in Japan, the Chinese are the most, with 656,000 living in Japan as of 2008. It's no wonder in some areas of Japan, almost all people are Chinese. I'm sure the number is way more now.
Chinese residents in Japan have been increasing rapidly these days, and currently the number of Chinese residents in Japan exceeds that of South and North Korean residents. They say the number is definitely going to increase more and more in the future.
Japan can't ignore the fact.
Japanese people definitely needs to get along with Chinese people to develop Japan more. So, let's listen to their voices this time!
As you might know, we have bad relationship over the past few years.
Some Japanese people have a lot of complaints as well as Chinese people have complaints to us.
All we need is that put history aside for now, and communicate to get to know each other. Understanding each other's cultures, background and the way of thinking are really important.
I hope Japan and China go well and more interaction in the future. And more Japanese and Chinese couples in the result!

I think the easiest way to access Narita Airport is by Limousine Bus. The bus stops at many convenient hotel locations (the wait until for loading passengers does add 30-45 minutes to the trip), before heading to Narita Airport. Another bus does a different route to Haneda Airport.
The buses are clean, comfortable, have a bathroom, and even Wi-Fi. Stops are made at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and staff waits at the curb to bow the bus (and you) off it! Only use the rail service to the airport if it is convenient to your location, otherwise you'll be schlepping luggage on and off trains.

What do Japanese women think of dating foreign men? I interviewed 5 Japanese women in this video and asked for their opinions.
I got diverse results. One of them have a typical americentric view of western men while the other are more open to different nationalities.
They have divided opinions about marrying non-Japanese men. Some of them prefer Japanese men because of their cultural values or lack of parents' acceptance.
I also asked them what they thought of Japanese men to compare to their views of non-Japanese men. The results were quite interesting.
Another interesting point is that their travel experience seems to have little to do with their openness. This might be another area to explore.
The questions I asked are:
- Would you date a foreign guy?
- Are you interested in any particular nationalities?
- Do you have any racial preferences?
- Would you marry a foreign guy?
- How would you like to be approached?
- What do Japanese guys lack these days?
- Is there anything you like about Japanese guys?
- Have you ever been abroad and where?

Birds of Tokyo
Birds of Tokyo is a five-piece alternative rock band from Perth, Western Australia. Their debut album Day One, gained them domestic success with it reaching number three on the AIR Independent Album charts, spending a total of 36 consecutive weeks in the top ten.
In 2008, the band released Universes, which made it to number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart. 2010 saw the band's self-titled third studio release Birds of Tokyo spend over eight months in the Australian top 20, peaking at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart. The double platinum album received the 2010 ARIA Award for Best Rock Album and in early 2011 the band's breakthrough hit "Plans" ranked number four on Triple J's Hottest 100. The album's follow-up single, "Wild at Heart", reached number one on the country's national airplay chart and won the band an APRA Award.
Most recently, in 2013 the band released their fourth studio album March Fires. Supported by the album's first two singles "This Fire" and "Lanterns", March Fires debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart—the band's first ever number one record. The album was certified gold within four weeks of release and the triple platinum single "Lanterns" was the most played song on Australia radio for the first six months of 2013.

Narita International Airport
Narita International Airport (成田国際空港, Narita Kokusai Kūkō) (IATA: NRT, ICAO: RJAA), also known as Tokyo Narita Airport, formerly and originally known as New Tokyo International Airport (新東京国際空港, Shin Tōkyō Kokusai Kūkō), is an international airport serving the Greater Tokyo Area of Japan. It is located approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) east of central Tokyo in Chiba Prefecture, straddling the border between the city of Narita and the adjacent town of Shibayama.
Narita is the predominant international airport in Japan, handling around 50% of the country's international passenger traffic and 60% of its international air cargo traffic. As of 2013, Narita was the second-busiest passenger airport in Japan (after Haneda Airport in Tokyo), and was the tenth-busiest air freight hub in the world. Its 4,000-metre (13,123 ft) main runway shares the record for longest runway in Japan with the second runway at Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
Narita serves as the main international hub of Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways and Nippon Cargo Airlines, and as a hub for low-cost carriers Jetstar Japan, Peach and Vanilla Air. It also serves as an Asian hub for Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

The bus stops at many convenient hotel locations (the wait until for loading passengers does add 30-45 minutes to the trip), before heading to Narita Airport. Another bus does a different route to Haneda Airport. The buses are clean, comfortable, have a bathroom, and even Wi-Fi. Stops are made at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and staff waits at the curb to bow the bus (and you) off it! Only use the rail service to the airport if it is convenient to your location, otherwise you'll be schlepping luggage on and off trains. -

I interviewed 5 Japanese women in this video and asked for their opinions. I got diverse results. One of them have a typical americentric view of western men while the other are more open to different nationalities. They have divided opinions about marrying non-Japanese men. Some of them prefer Japanese men because of their cultural values or lack of parents' acceptance. I also asked them what they thought of Japanese men to compare to their views of non-Japanese men. The results were quite interesting. Another interesting point is that their travel experience seems to have little to do with their openness. This might be another area to explore. The questions I asked are: - Would you date a foreign guy? - Are you interested in any particular nationalities? - Do you have any racial preferences? - Would you marry a foreign guy? - How would you like to be approached? - What do Japanese guys lack these days? - Is there anything you like about Japanese guys? - Have you ever been abroad and where? -

What Do Chinese Residents in Japan Think about Japan and Japanese People?
According to the Ministry of Justice's statistics, of foreign residents in Japan, the Chinese are the most, with 656,000 living in Japan as of 2008. It's no wonder in some areas of Japan, almost all people are Chinese. I'm sure the number is way more now. Chinese residents in Japan have been increasing rapidly these days, and currently the number of Chinese residents in Japan exceeds that of South and North Korean residents. They say the number is definitely going to increase more and more in the future. Japan can't ignore the fact. Japanese people definitely needs to get along with Chinese people to develop Japan more. Take the Easy Limousine Bus to Narita Airport, Tokyo
http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com I think the easiest way to access Narita Airport is by Limousine Bus. The bus stops at many convenient hotel locations (the wait until for loading passengers does add 30-45 minutes to the trip), before heading to Narita Airport. Another bus does a different route to Haneda Airport. The buses are clean, comfortable, have a bathroom, and even Wi-Fi. Stops are made at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and staff waits at the curb to bow the bus (and you) off it! Only use the rail service to the airport if it is convenient to your location, otherwise you'll be schlepping luggage on and off trains.

What do Japanese women think of dating foreign men? I interviewed 5 Japanese women in this video and asked for their opinions.
I got diverse results. One of them have a typical americentric view of western men while the other are more open to different nationalities.
They have divided opinions about marrying non-Japanese men. Some of them prefer Japanese men because of their cultural values or lack of parents' acceptance.
I also asked them what they thought of Japanese men to compare to their views of non-Japanese men. The results were quite interesting.
Another interesting point is that their travel experience seems to have little to do with their openness. This might be another area to explore.
The questions I asked are:
- Would you date a foreign guy?
- Are you interested in any particular nationalities?
- Do you have any racial preferences?
- Would you marry a foreign guy?
- How would you like to be approached?
- What do Japanese guys lack these days?
- Is there anything you like about Japanese guys?
- Have you ever been abroad and where?

What do Japanese women think of dating foreign men? I interviewed 5 Japanese women in this video and asked for their opinions.
I got diverse results. One of them have a typical americentric view of western men while the other are more open to different nationalities.
They have divided opinions about marrying non-Japanese men. Some of them prefer Japanese men because of their cultural values or lack of parents' acceptance.
I also asked them what they thought of Japanese men to compare to their views of non-Japanese men. The results were quite interesting.
Another interesting point is that their travel experience seems to have little to do with their openness. This might be another area to explore.
The questions I asked are:
- Would you date a foreign guy?
- Are you interested in any particular nationalities?
- Do you have any racial preferences?
- Would you marry a foreign guy?
- How would you like to be approached?
- What do Japanese guys lack these days?
- Is there anything you like about Japanese guys?
- Have you ever been abroad and where?

Get info about things to do, where to stay, and the best food to eat on your visit to Tokyo, Japan. Here's the guide: http://wp.me/psd9b-4EA
Tokyo (東京), Japan, is one of the world's greatest cities, and there's so much to do and see when you visit. From temples and shrines, to gardens and museums, you'll never run out of attractions. Out of all the things you could do, I've chosen a top 25 list for this awesome city (and just so you know food is my first choice in Tokyo)!
1. Ameya-Yokochō (アメヤ横丁) - A giant open air market that offers clothes, cosmetics, food, and restaurants and bars.
2. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮) - This Shinto shrine, surrounded by beautiful forest, is extremely significant.
3. Ryogoku Kokugikan (両国国技館) - Even if it's not fight season, you can go to the free sumo museum and eat sumo chankonabe.
4. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (新宿御苑) - The garden is a beautiful attraction in Tokyo, with French gardens, Japanese gardens, and a green house.
5. Ginza (銀座) / Yurakucho (有楽町) - Ginza is a great area of town for upscale shopping and dining, while Yurakucho is famous for Izakaya bars and restaurants under the railroad track.
6. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (東京都庁舎) - There are a lot of things to do in Tokyo where you have to pay, but here, you can go to the 45th floor for free.
7. Tsukiji Market (築地市場) - One of the most famous attractions in all of Tokyo is the Tsukiji Market (築地市場), the biggest seafood market in the world.
8. Shibuya (渋谷区) - With the busiest intersection in the world, Shibuya (渋谷区) is also home to shopping and restaurant.
9. Sumida River (隅田川) - At Tokyo's Sumida River, you can either just walk around the park and enjoy the riverside views, or you can take the Tokyo Cruise in a boat.
10. Tokyo Imperial Palace (皇居) - This is the home of the emperor of Japan. To enter the grounds, you have to make a tour booking on the official website
11. Ueno Park (上野公園), Tokyo National Museum (東京国立博物館) - Ueno Park is a huge public park in Tokyo with shrines, gardens and a number of museums.
12. Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー) - They call it Tokyo's biggest attractions. It's a huge communications tower with various viewing decks and galleries.
13. Harajuku (原宿), Takeshita Street (竹下通り) - Famous for its street market and cosplay that takes place, this is a place in the city to see and be seen.
14. Senso-ji (金龍山浅草寺) - Visiting this temple is one of the top things to do in Tokyo, frequented by both tourists and religious pilgrims. It's the oldest temple in Tokyo.
15. Edo-Tokyo Museum (江戸東京博物館) - It looks a little like a UFO, but it's one of Tokyo's main museums, that aims to preserve the history of the city.
16. Fine Dining - Let's just face it, Tokyo is one of the best cities in the world for high class dining - atmosphere, presentation, food, it's all just stunning!
17. Akihabara Electric Town (秋葉原電気街) - If you love electronics and gaming, you're going to love the area of Akihabara. You'll also find those infamous maid cafes here.
18. Tokyo Stock Exchange (東京証券取引所) - Another free attraction in Tokyo is to be a guest at the stock exchange where you can see the Japanese Nikkei being traded.
19. Roppongi (六本木) - Home to the Mori Art Museum and a hotspot for nightlife in the city, Roppongi is an exciting area of town.
20. Odaiba (お台場) - This area of Tokyo is full of things to do like Legoland, and Palette Town, an indoor amusement park. It's also known as Tokyo's entertainment island.
21. Yoyogi Park (代々木公園) - Located next to Meiji Shrine, and just a short distance from Harajuku and Shinjuku, this park is popular for exercise and dance.
22. Nezu (根津), Yanaka (谷中 (台東区) - Tokyo is a truly modern city, but there are a couple places like Nezu and Yanaka that have held strong to their traditional and cultural roots.
23. Onsen (温泉) - You've got to strip down naked before you can enter a Japanese public bath.
24. Mount Takao (高尾山) - Just 50 km from central Tokyo, this mountain is popular for climbing and is a sacred religious mountains. Makes a good day trip from Tokyo.
25. Food - Finally, food is the reason I visited Japan, and I think eating is by all means one of the best things to do in Tokyo. Food is everywhere, and not only does it taste amazing, but the care that goes into Japanese cuisine is incredible.

Cross-dressing is coming out of the closet in Tokyo.
Where once it was a secret life for some heterosexual men in Japan, now dressing in women's clothes is being positively encouraged at a number of outlets across the capital.
Meet Rumi. The hair, make up and clothes are all part of his life outside work.
During the week, Rumi is a business man, who's married with two children.
But every couple of weeks, Rumi comes to play and dress up at this photo studio in Tokyo.
His family do not know his secret. He has been interested in dressing as a woman for 15 years and for the last few months he has started coming regularly to a photo studio in central Tokyo where he can choose from a wide selection of women's clothing.
The studio is actually a clothing rental shop that decided to set aside a few days a week to cater for this kind of clientele.
Rumi visits here once every two weeks and is so confident that he wouldn't be recognised that he allowed himself to be filmed.
He has been told he looks good in pink and so he often wears pink clothes.
The staff at the Leaf Style photo studio do Rumi's make-up and help him choose an outfit followed by a simple photo session.
Sometimes Rumi ventures out on the streets dressed like this and he says people rarely spot that he is a man.
It is a gradual process though. He started wearing unisex clothes for the first few times and slowly became more bold.
Now he ventures outside in full make-up, or wearing a skirt.
Men who like dressing as women are still fearful that their double life could be discovered.
They are meticulous in making sure no strands of hairs from the wigs they use remain on their clothes when they go home because they don't want to be discovered.
Rumi says that his wife would probably first suspect that he was having an affair and would never entertain the concept that he liked dressing in women's clothes. If his wife ever became suspicious he would rather she thought he was having an affair, he adds.
Professor Tsuji Izumi teaches at Chuo University in Tokyo. He thinks this phenomenon is not about sexuality.
He says these men don't want to transform themselves into women completely, and that doing so is just a way for them to have an out of character experience.
"It's not that these men want to become women completely. They have identities as men and yet enjoy dressing like women. Dressing like a woman for them has become one option to enjoy playing a different character, a different role," he says.
He also says that generally speaking society looks favourably on beautiful women and some men think that life as a woman can be much more fun.
Men who like to dress like women probably want to be on the receiving end of this kind of attention hoping this will make them happier.
He says, "Being feminine is more advantageous in today's modern society where good communication skills are needed. Women tend to have better communication skills, which are essential to facilitate human relationships. So being like a woman, speaking and behaving like a woman is a way for these men to experience society in a different way and I think this is why they do it".
He further explains that people in their twenties today in Japan have only experienced stagnant economic growth and have little hope or romanticism for the future.
This is in sharp contrast to life in the 1970s and 1980s when Japan enjoyed incredible economic growth and being manly, playing sports, and studying hard were activities that brought rewards.
Five years ago, Takeshi - who prefers not to give his full name - opened a new type of maid cafe called "New Type" where the maids are in fact men dressed like women.
Takeshi himself works there as a maid going by the Japanese female name of Chiaki.

Eric Smith began scientific work in high-energy physics, with Bachelor degrees in math and physics from Caltech, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas in 1993. His work moved increasingly into topics in complex systems, during appointments in the University of Texas and the Los Alamos National Laboratories, culminating in eleven years spent at the Santa Fe Institute. At SFI he began parallel threads of work in non-equilibrium thermodynamics, economics and finance, and the history of human languages, and began studying the geochemistry, biochemistry, and evolution of the earliest life. He is currently a professor and Principle Investigator of the Earth-Life Science Institute in Tokyo, and external professor at SFI. His goal is to understand the origin and nature of the living state through the many windows that science provides on it: the physical, geochemical, biochemical, ecological, and evolutionary.
