►Review about Japan Airlines: http://wp.me/psd9b-5pq ►Instagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology ►Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology NOTE: Before I get started I just want to say this video is not sponsored or affiliate with Japan Airlines at all. I just happen to luckily have a flight with Japan Airlines, and I made a video. All opinions are my own. I was in Phoenix, Arizona, and I had a flight to Singapore (with a different airline), and my wife and I were supposed to fly from Phoenix to Los Angeles to Hong Kong and finally to Singapore. It just so happened that our very first flight, which was just to Los Angeles, was delays by a couple of hours, which caused us to miss our flight from LA to Hong Kong and our flight to Singapore. But no worries, I try to be as posi...
Japan Airlines flight experience in Economy Class, onboard the Boeing 777-200ER, from Tokyo (Haneda) to Singapore as JL37. This flight takes 6 hours and 43 minutes, in which a lunch and refreshment is provided. Service is courteous and warm. I enjoyed the lunch served very much. I watched a couple of movies on the rather ancient-looking MAGIC-III entertainment system. It was a lovely flying experience in all, onboard Japan Airlines. This video hosted by Jayme Drummond (Carioca NoMundo) with subtitles in English - shows the experience on Japan Airlines First Class from JFK to Narita Airport in Tokyo. The flight duration on the the Boeing 777-300 is approximately 14h30min. Japan Airlines, a One World member, is the most well know Japanese airlines and it's fist class is a true luxury experience. They provide both Japanese and Western menus, a huge selection of wines, spirits and sakes. Pijamas, amenities and a proper bed turn down service are provided during the flight. The open suite full flat seats turn into a large bed and the flight attendant offer 2 options of mattress - soft and hard - according the passengers request. Called airwave system - apparently the same developed by NASA - this was one of the top things I...
Japan Airlines First Class flight between Tokyo and London onboard B777-300/ER JAL Suite. JAL, like Japan is famous for its ultra efficiency, attention to details, polite and humbleness. This is the best First Class flight I have for a long while. I simply didn't want to leave! The amazing yet adorable JAL service "from the heart" won me over! You have to experience it to understand the Japanese understated luxury.
JAL Japan Airlines on their internationally configured 787-8 Dreamliner flying from Vancouver YVR to Tokyo Narita Airport. flight number is JL17. I was sitting in seat 26A, a window seat. Love the 787. I definitely feel better upon landing compared to a regular aircraft due to the better cabin humidity. If you have long legs though, I do not recommend the window seat. The space underneath the seat in front of you for your feet is incredibly small and makes for some uncomfortable positions for your feet.

Both airlines are from Japan. Which one is better?
Since the April of 2011, Japan Airlines has welcomed back the once beloved "Tsurumaru" as their new logo. They've also started re-branding airports, and most importantly, their planes. Some may say that this new Tsurumaru livery is too plain and boring. I, personally don't care about its simplicity as it has the Tsurumaru logo on the tail once again. Japan Airlines is currently in the process of recovery from their bankrupcy which occurred back in 2010. As a symbol of the New-Born JAL, the logo was once again chosen to show that JAL will be going back to its roots in recovering from their bankrupcy. To show my support for Japan Airlines and, in a way, advertise this new Tsurumaru logo & livery, I've put together a little music video of JAL. The song is called "Synchro Bom-Ba-Ye" from a mo...

There's not much to see due to the obvious darkness, but I find the night airport to be a very charming place. That's why I even post this. I'm awfully sorry for the appalling backlit and flares, but JAL cabin crew just won't turn off the lights completely during the taxiing and takeoff. Video is slightly edited to remove the pointless waiting time. 25/09/2016

Turn on annotations to see the commentary. Japan Airlines flagship 777-300ERs have one of the most unique first class seats, taking cues from Japanese culture. It unfolds into a huge and comfortable bed, which I honestly did not want to leave. The Japanese menu was delicious with big chunks of abalone, tuna steak, and Waygu beef. The pudding was the smoothest pudding I ever had. Apparently it is sold only at one restaurant and costs 10USD per glass! I was told by the flight attendant that they are consider a 4 star airline but there is no way they are in the same category as Jetblue or Air Canada. The attentiveness and courtesy of the crew was just as good as Singapore.

Amazing sunset greeted us on our descent into Tokyo... skip ahead to 16.00! A lot of different options to fly from LA to Tokyo, but I ultimately decided on JAL over Singapore Airlines because it was almost $200 cheaper, and due to the Sky Wider Seats in their Economy Class, the seats were larger than on Singapore Airlines (34" pitch and 19" wide). Great service, kinda decent IFE, decent food made for a pretty good flight. Only complaint was the temperature. I swear it must have been about 75F... and no air nozzles on the plane. Not sure if I'd fly again because of that... would choose Singapore Airlines the next time unless ANA or JAL was a lot cheaper.
Japan Airlines flight experience, onboard JL34 from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport - BKK) to Tokyo (Haneda Airport - HND). This night flight, operated with the Boeing 777-200ER, has a scheduled flight time of 5 hours and 10 minutes. After take off, hot o-shiboris are served before the supper service. Lights are then dimmed for passengers to rest. Drinks are served before landing. The cabin attendants are polite, cheerful and attentive. During descent to Tokyo, a sunrise view of the famous Mount Fuji can be seen. Thank you for watching this Japan Airlines experience on FlightTravels. Remember to subscribe! Flight from Tokyo/Haneda to Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi on the new Sky Suite Regional Business Class that they are in the process of installing on the 777-200 fleet. A nice seat, combined with the usual excellent service and catering that JAL offers, makes for a very nice flying experience on intra asian routes. My only complaint is that the seat needs more padding (for my personal preference). I found it a bit too hard for a comfortable sleeping position. Filmed from seat 5A on Monday 26 September 2016.
Japan Airlines Flight 123 was a Japan Airlines domestic flight from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) to Osaka International Airport (Itami). On Monday, August 12, 1985, the Boeing 747-146SR that made this route, registered JA8119, suffered mechanical failures 12 minutes into the flight and 32 minutes later crashed into two ridges of Mount Takamagahara in Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, 100 kilometers (62 mi) from Tokyo. The crash site was on Osutaka Ridge (御巣鷹の尾根), near Mount Osutaka. All 15 crew members and 505 out of 509 passengers died, resulting in a total of 520 deaths and four survivors. It is the deadliest single-aircraft accident in history, and the second-deadliest accidental plane crash in history behind the Tenerife airport disaster.
