DRC may refer to:
The Democratic Republic of the Congo, a country located in Central Africa.
At least 17 people, including three police officers, have been killed during anti-government protests in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The demonstrators were demanding President Joseph Kabila to step down. Kabila's second term ends in December, but the opposition is accusing him of planning to hold onto power. Warlords, soldiers, and child laborers all toil over a mineral you've never even heard of. Coltan is a conflict mineral in nearly every cell phone, laptop, and electronic device. It's also tied to the deaths of over 5 million people in Congo since 1990. GUNS FOR HIRE -- CONGO DRC is my second documentary about ex-military personel who work for PMCs, private military companies. Reporter Sam Kiley followed Conrad Thorpe who is an ex British Special Forces colonel. He got hired by the Congolese government to train anti-poaching units in the Virunga National Park. They are known as ICCN rangers (Institue Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature). After a decade of civil war this training is a desperate attempt to protect Congo's remaining endangered wildlife. Production Notes: The production of this film offered me the first opportunity to witness the aftermath of the various civil wars in the Eastern part of Congo DRC. At first sight, the natural beauty of the vast wilderness is breathtaking. But, at the same time, I was shocked by the...
Every day, MSF is confronted with the medical consequences of violence in its hospitals, health centers and mobile clinics in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Medical teams treat trauma injuries from guns, machetes, lances, rifle bayonets, knives, hammers, shells, bows and arrows. But for those on the receiving end, there is often no escape from the violence. Habagasi, an 80-year-old woman living in deplorable conditions at a displaced persons camp on the outskirts of Goma, has been looking after the orphaned children left behind when her family were murdered: "I had eight sons; they were killed together with my husband and they pumped bullets into my body." Having fled for their lives, Habagasi and her grandchildren thought they'd be safe at an 'official' displaced persons camp, bu...

(Hawkman in the background)
I can picture it now
You in your car
Left the bar
Playing Big Part
Keep up complainin'
It's probably rainin'
Keeping complaining
It's probably raining
You're gonna visit your car
It's one of my peeps
With a blow to your head
Is that what you need
You're probably bleeding
Is that what you needed
You're probably bleeding
Just like a movie
Just like a movie
Just like a movie
Life doesn't move me
Life doesn't move me
I keep with you now
Here in your car
Left the bar
Playing the Big Part
Keeping complaining
It's probably raining
It's one of my peeps
With a blow to your head
Is that what you needed
What you needed
What you needed
You caught me breathing
It's just like a movie
Life's just like a movie
It's like a movie
Just like a movie
It doesn't move me
Move me
Move me
It doesn't move me
Life doesn't move
It doesn't move me
Move me
It's like a blow to the head
It's like a blow to my head
It doesn't move me

It doesn't move me
It's like a movie

Blow to the head
Life's like a blow to the head
What you needed what you needed what you needed
