Cinnabon is a chain of American baked goods stores and kiosks, normally found in areas with high pedestrian traffic such as malls and airports. The company's signature item is a large cinnamon roll. As of July 2009, over 750 Cinnabon bakeries were operating in more than 30 countries. Its headquarters are in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The company is owned by Focus Brands, an affiliate of private equity firm Roark Capital Group. The President & Chief Operating Officer is currently Kat Cole, who worked her way up from serving as a waitress at a fast casual chain to President & COO of Cinnabon before age 35.
History
The first Cinnabon opened on December 4, 1985 in Seattle, Washington in Sea Tac Mall. Cinnabon was an offshoot of the Seattle Based Restaurants Unlimited restaurant chain run by Rich Komen. Mr. Komen wanted to create the worlds most "perfect" cinnamon roll, eventually hiring Jerilyn Brusseau to finalize the iconic recipe. The first bakery began by serving only its Cinnabon Classic cinnamon roll. Cinnabon's first franchise-operated store opened in August 1986 in Philadelphia. In 1991, the first Cinnabon store outside a mall was opened in Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Cinnabon stores today can also be found in military bases, universities, rapid transit stations, casinos, and amusement parks.
Cinnabon was bought by AFC Enterprises, Inc. in 1998 for $65 million.[6] In 2004, AFC Enterprises, Inc., sold Cinnabon for $30.3 million to FOCUS Brands, Inc., which is owned by the Atlanta-based private equity firm Roark Capital Group. The headquarters moved to Greater Atlanta in 1999.

Cinnabon has many international franchise operations, including in major cities of Pakistan (Karachi and Lahore), Cyprus, Poland, and its largest branch outside the United States and Canada is in Stars Centre in Cairo. The restaurant is noted for being the first U.S franchise to open in Libya after the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.

I made this video in honor of Atkins Nutrition being purchased by Roark Capital Group, which also owns Cinnabon brand name. I made this copycat recipe to highlight just what is possible with Revolution Rolls, and provide a great Inductio Friendly treat.
One of my other intentions was to clear up any confusion over the original recipe and how to make it. The original Revolution Roll recipe from back in 1972 had cottage cheese in it, but over time cream cheese replaced the cottage cheese. I have been making it this way for a long time. History
Arby's was founded in Boardman, Ohio, in 1964 by Forrest (1922-2008) and Leroy Raffel (1926), owners of a restaurant equipment business who believed there was a market opportunity for a fast food franchise based on a food other than hamburgers. The brothers wanted to call their restaurants "Big Tex", but that name was already used by an Akron business. Instead, they chose the name "Arby's", based on R. B., the initials of Raffel Brothers.
The Raffel brothers opened the first new restaurant in Boardman, Ohio, just outside Youngstown, on July 23, 1964. They initially served only roast beef sandwiches, potato chips, and soft drinks. A year later, the first Arby's licensee opened a restaurant in Akron, Ohio. The famous Arby's "hat" was designed by the original sign makers, Peskin Sign Co. Expansion to other states began in 1968, beginning in Pittsburgh (the closest large out-of-state market to Youngstown) and Detroit. The restaurants were initially designed to be more upscale than their hamburger competitors.
During the 1970s, the expansion of Arby's took place at a rate of 50 stores per year. During this time it created several menu items, including the Beef 'n Cheddar, Jamocha Shakes, Curly Fries and two signature sauces: Arby's Sauce and Horsey Sauce. In 1981 it added chicken along with opening store number 1,000. It became the first restaurant in the fast food industry to offer a complete "lite" menu in 1991 with several sandwiches and salads under 300 calories and 94 percent fat free.

The company is owned by Focus Brands, an affiliate of private equity firm Roark Capital Group. The President & Chief Operating Officer is currently Kat Cole, who worked her way up from serving as a waitress at a fast casual chain to President & COO of Cinnabon before age 35.

The first Cinnabon opened on December 4, 1985 in Seattle, Washington in Sea Tac Mall. Cinnabon was an offshoot of the Seattle Based Restaurants Unlimited restaurant chain run by Rich Komen. Cinnabon has many international franchise operations, including in major cities of Pakistan (Karachi and Lahore), Cyprus, Poland, and its largest branch outside the United States and Canada is in Stars Centre in Cairo. The restaurant is noted for being the first U.S franchise to open in Libya after the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.

I made this video in honor of Atkins Nutrition being purchased by Roark Capital Group, which also owns Cinnabon brand name. I made this copycat recipe to highlight just what is possible with Revolution Rolls, and provide a great Inductio Friendly treat.
One of my other intentions was to clear up any confusion over the original recipe and how to make it. The original Revolution Roll recipe from back in 1972 had cottage cheese in it, but over time cream cheese replaced the cottage cheese. I have been making it this way for a long time. Arby's was founded in Boardman, Ohio, in 1964 by Forrest (1922-2008) and Leroy Raffel (1926), owners of a restaurant equipment business who believed there was a market opportunity for a fast food franchise based on a food other than hamburgers. The brothers wanted to call their restaurants "Big Tex", but that name was already used by an Akron business. Instead, they chose the name "Arby's", based on R. B., the initials of Raffel Brothers.
The Raffel brothers opened the first new restaurant in Boardman, Ohio, just outside Youngstown, on July 23, 1964. They initially served only roast beef sandwiches, potato chips, and soft drinks. A year later, the first Arby's licensee opened a restaurant in Akron, Ohio. The famous Arby's "hat" was designed by the original sign makers, Peskin Sign Co. Expansion to other states began in 1968, beginning in Pittsburgh (the closest large out-of-state market to Youngstown) and Detroit. The restaurants were initially designed to be more upscale than their hamburger competitors.
During the 1970s, the expansion of Arby's took place at a rate of 50 stores per year. During this time it created several menu items, including the Beef 'n Cheddar, Jamocha Shakes, Curly Fries and two signature sauces: Arby's Sauce and Horsey Sauce. In 1981 it added chicken along with opening store number 1,000. It became the first restaurant in the fast food industry to offer a complete "lite" menu in 1991 with several sandwiches and salads under 300 calories and 94 percent fat free.
