India’s government-owned TV channel, Doordarshan National aired a one-hour programme about ISKCON on July 13th, featuring a studio interview with Keshava Murari Das, President of ISKCON Rohini (New Delhi), interspersed with several video clips about different activities of ISKCON. He explained how Srila Prabhupada started the movement and continued to speak about the achievements of ISKCON today such as the movement’s expansion into 650 centres, distribution of 300 million plates of free prasadam and 50 million books. The programme showed several clips such as the youth festival in Pune attended by 20,000 young people and the recent visit of the then Prime Minister David Cameron to Bhaktivedanta Manor in London to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
भारत के सरकारी टीवी चैनल, दूरदर्शन नेशनल पर एक घंटे का कार्यक्रम प्रसारित किया गया जिसमे इस्कॉन रोहिणी (दिल्ली) के अध्यक्ष श्रीमान केशव मुरारी दास द्वारा कई सक्षिप्त वीडियो के साथ इस्कॉन द्वारा अनेक प्रचार गतिविधियों को दर्शाया गया । उन्होंने बताया कि कैसे श्रील प्रभुपाद ने इस आंदोलन को प्रारम्भ किया, वर्तमान में इस्कॉन की उपलब्धियां क्या रही हैं जैसे, आंदोलन का प्रसार ६५० केंद्रों के रूप में हुआ, ३० करोड़ प्लेट निशुल्क प्रसाद वितरित किया जा चुका है, ५ करोड़ से अधिक आध्यात्मिक पुस्तकें बांटी जा चुकी हैं । इस कार्यक्रम में अनेक युवा-उत्सवों जैसे कानपूर तथा पुणे युवा-उत्सव, के संक्षिप्त वीडियो भी दिखाए गए, जिसमे २० हज़ार से भी अधिक युवाओं ने भाग लिया था । इंग्लैंड के प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा इस्कॉन लंदन में दर्शन हेतु आने तथा उनके द्वारा ५०वीं वर्षगांठ के कार्यक्रम में भाग लेते हुए वीडियो भी दर्शाए गए ।

The second Hare Krishna flash mob was performed on the 14th of August, 2016 at three different locations in Bengaluru – Elements Mall, Sankey Lake and Mantri Square Mall. The devotees danced to the tune of Krishna Keshava song. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who spearheaded the sankirtana movement used to sing this song. With over 50 dancers, director, and volunteers the flash mob created a sensation. The dance performance had a combination of adults, teenagers and children who were dressed as Radha or Krishna.

International Society for Krishna Consciousness
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), known colloquially as the Hare Krishna movement or Hare Krishnas, is a Gaudiya Vaishnava religious organisation. ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who is worshipped by followers as Guru and spiritual master. Its core beliefs are based on select traditional Hindu scriptures, particularly the Bhagavad-gītā and the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. ISKCON says it is a direct descendant of Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya. The appearance of the movement and its culture come from the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, which has had adherents in India since the late 15th century and American and European converts since the early 1900s in North America, and in England in the 1930s.
ISKCON was formed to spread the practice of bhakti yoga, in which those involved (bhaktas) dedicate their thoughts and actions towards pleasing the Supreme Lord, Krishna. ISKCON today is a worldwide confederation of more than 550 centres, including 60 farm communities, some aiming for self-sufficiency, 50 schools, and 90 restaurants. In recent decades the most rapid expansions in membership have been within Eastern Europe (especially since the collapse of the Soviet Union) and India.

The second Hare Krishna flash mob was performed on the 14th of August, 2016 at three different locations in Bengaluru – Elements Mall, Sankey Lake and Mantri Square Mall. The devotees danced to the tune of Krishna Keshava song. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who spearheaded the sankirtana movement used to sing this song. With over 50 dancers, director, and volunteers the flash mob created a sensation. The dance performance had a combination of adults, teenagers and children who were dressed as Radha or Krishna.
