Western Bulldogs recruit Travis Cloke is looking to "reinvent" himself at his new club after 12 seasons with the Magpies.
The former Collingwood forward was traded to the Dogs on Thursday for pick 76 in this year's draft.
The move serves as a fresh start for Cloke who was dropped three times in 2016, and the 2010 premiership player was keen to "learn a few new things and develop" at Whitten Oval.
"There's obviously strengths of mine and weaknesses and I guess coming here [the aim] is just to narrow those things down," Cloke said.
"Obviously my endurance running is normally a pretty good thing but also I will try and put myself in the best physical condition to approach this 2017 campaign and hopefully just bring that extra one or two percent to the side and hopefully maintain the success this club has got."
Cloke was looking forward to pairing up with premiership hero Tom Boyd in the forward line from next season.
"To see the way Boydy played in that grand final was fantastic and for me to work with him and develop both our games together is obviously what I'm here for," Cloke said.
"I want to work closely with him and the rest of the forwards but also trying to bring something to this side that's obviously just won a premiership which is going to be fantastic to be a part of but also a challenge for myself to fit into that 22."
After being taken as a father-son selection in the 2004 draft, Cloke played 246 games and kicked 441 goals for Collingwood.
The 29-year-old won a best-and-fairest and two All-Australian guernseys in his time with the Pies.
Cloke was the only player the Bulldogs acquired in the trade period. Joel Hamling (Fremantle), Nathan Hrovat (North Melbourne) and Koby Stevens (St Kilda) all departed the kennel.
