Plot: Shree, an ordinary man, works at a telecom company. In love with Sonu but cannot marry yet as need to make some basic money. Randhawa, a wealthy businessman, in his ceaseless pursuit of power, has zeroed in on Shree as his last guinea pig. Shree is the last piece of puzzle of a scientific experiment, devised by a brilliant scientist, supported by commissioner of police and funded by Randhawa. If successful, it could change the fate of their lives and that of the whole world. Lured in by promise of a bright and successful future, Shree trade in 12 hours of his life. Randhawa offers him 20 lakhs for participating in a experiment which will last for 12 hours. He trust them and needs the money, excitedly Shree trade in 12 hours of his life. Plot: Today, there is hardly anyone who hasn't visited the swanky shopping malls, nightclubs, lounge bars, clubs and other such lifestyle destinations that sprung up across the centre of Mumbai. However, very few know that buried deep below these glittering edifices to consumerism lies the dark, dirty and painful reality of many thousands of mill workers who once worked the cotton mills in this very same area. Rising and toiling to the wail of the mill sirens each and every day, seven days a week, these workers embodied the true unbridled zeal and unflagging spirit of the city and played a pivotal role in the evolution of Mumbai as the modern day business capital of India. And then it suddenly was as if they never existed. Following the mill workers strike in the mid-80s, these mills began closing down rapidly and the mill-workers mysteriously disappeared. What happened to them, and where they went is one of the most shameful secrets that the city of Mumbai will have to bear for generations, one that until now has always been spoken about in hushed whispers. City of Gold - the story of these long-forgotten masses - not only explores the apathy of these mill workers narrated through the story of one such family, but is also a take-no-prisoners account of the birth of the true underbelly of organized crime in Mumbai. The film traces the birth of the politics of greed in Mumbai and exposes the unholy collusion between the triumvirate of big business, the political establishment and the trade union leaders who ostensibly were charged with protecting the rights of the mill workers. In the two decades that followed, the entire landscape of Central Mumbai was changed forever. Land became the currency of growth, and this began the systematic extinction of mills in Mumbai. In a matter of just a few years, hundreds of thousands of workers lost their means of livelihood. Truth... as is said, is stranger than fiction. But the truth that the film uncovers is not just stranger but darker and dirtier than any mind has ever imagined.

Plot: Close friends Jiya Sarang, Pari Sehgal, Rakhi Chadha, and Sanya Balsara are 12th standard students in Mumbai International High School. Jiya is the only one who comes from an impoverished background, had lost her hearing as well as her father in an accident, compelling her sister, Pratibha, to re-locate to Pune, while she now lives in Manori with her widowed mother, who regularly prepares Aamras for the foursome. The school plans a picnic in Mahabaleshwar, but Jiya is unable to attend, so Rakhi steals money from her restaurant-owner father, Jiya lies to her mother and travels with her friends to this scenic locale. It is here she meets with tour guide, Johny, and both are attracted to each other, while an embittered Pari, who has just celebrated her 18th birthday, gets fooled by Nikhil. Bitterness sets in after Pari finds that Johny has written a love letter to Jiya, while Rakhi gets questioned by her parents about the theft; a male named Sharma complains to the school principal about the four friends damaging his car; and Jiya's mother gets hospitalized after being attacked by an unknown male.

Plot: Meera Achrekar lives a middle-classed lifestyle in a Shivaji Park Chawl, along with her widowed mother; brother Manoj, his wife, Neelima, and their son, Mayank. After the passing of their father, Anant, Manoj, who was just 18 at that time, took over the financial reins of this family, while she, herself, got employed as a Maths Teacher with Vishwa-Prem Vidyalaya, and heads the 'Meera XI' cricket team in the colony.
