This is the story of two parallel worlds: one in a distant fairytale land, the other in present-day reality. ONCE UPON A TIME, an evil Queen cast a curse upon Snow White and Prince Charming along with the beloved characters we know and love with the intention of foiling their happy ending to get her own. Relationships will be formed, bonds will be made, battle lines will be drawn and love may be the only thing that can break the curse.

Just Perfect Entertainment Once upon a time whisks one away to the land of make believe with a lot more class than is evident in other serialized dramas. The sets look real. The costumes are perfectly believable. The plot lines take us back to the days when mom or dad or an older brother or sister read the story to us until we fell asleep. The difference here is that there is available a wonderful musical background and the actors all know that in the end, good will win out; but when? So as we anxiously await season two, we must thank ABC for going along with us on this journey. It is not gentle, but it is gracious and it takes us back to the days when the little things really made a difference. Don't miss 'Once Upon a Time', you may see yourself in one of the characters; and wouldn't that be a revelation? Enjoy this one big time with your family.

What a mess! Ugh! I really tried to like this. I had 8 episodes of spoon-fed plot shoved down my throat. Wow! The characters say everything they think. The writers really must have thought that the audience could not do any thinking on their own. It seems at every corner, either Henry or the Mayor jumps out to explain some key plot-point that we've already figured out. The sad thing is I wasted money on the entire season, but cannot stomach another episode...yuck!

Alright my opinion...... every single episode has a riveting, dramatic, heart-wrenching plot. The actors and actresses are stunning in every way.The costumes are perfect and very beautiful. The scenery for the Enchanted Forest, Oz, Arendelle and Camelot are gorgeous and the castles are extremely realistic. I have watched every single episode of every season and I shall continue to do so until the horrific, horrible, heart-breaking day when the creators say that the best TV show that there ever was is ending next week. If whoever created this show is reading this I beg of you as a devoted fan to every single character of Once Upon A Time ( especially Hook aka Killian Jones he is so cute I actually cried when he sacrificed himself after being the Dark One ) to make a season 6 and a season 7 please make as many as you can With much admiration LouLou Schiavo

My Third Favorite Show Ever! After Breaking Bad and Doctor Who, of course. This show is great. It took me a long time to finally watch it. When I discovered Elsa (from Frozen) was going to be in Season 4, I binge watched the first 3 seasons just to catch up. I finished it in under 3 weeks, and now am buying each episode of season 4 as it comes out on Google Play. Buy all four seasons now, it's worth it!

Sooooo GOOD... I was introduced to this show by being told I might not like it. After I saw episode one of the first season, I couldn't help but be interested, the way the stories intertwine with the fairy tales that I knew and loved as a child makes the show nostalgic, while adding a refreshing twist to each tale. Season One had me hooked, Season Two had me yearning for more, and Season Three made me feel like one of the coolest and most careless hero's in fairy tales is an absolute douchebag. The show is not for everyone, as not all people grew up on these stories, but to people like me who did, this show is a godsend from our childhood to remind us that things may not always be what they appear. I love this show and how we all "got it wrong" with the actual accounts of what happened in their world. This is the kind show that makes you wanna drool rainbows because it's so good and "Marathonable."

I absolutely love OUAT!! I've watched seasons 1-4 on Netflix repeatedly and 5 on cable. I will certainly be in front of the TV on Sept. 25th at 8pm waiting for season 6 to start!!! My favorite season is the first one. I questioned and debated if the curse was real or if henry just really believed it was. I especially love the last couple of episodes when henry was poisoned and emma touched the storybook and got her memories. All that rage that she got towards Regina finally presented itself. Gives me chills

I loved this show up until the last episode which displayed a gay relationship between Dorothy and red riding hood. That is not the way any fairytale goes and it is so disappointing to see. This was one of the very few shows that had not conformed to the ways of the world and now it has disappointed by taking all of my favorite childhood stories and destroying it. I am so disappointed in this show and will now stop watching it bc the true story line of fairytale stories have been so tarnished. Big let down
I am still catching up with this show on Netflix. I finally made it to season 4. I cannot get enough of it. It makes you wonder about all those fairy tales growing up so many twists its pretty cool, i mean who knew red riding hood would be the wolf. I have to remind myself no peeking ahead lol. Its been awhile since ive had a show I was completely hooked on. So thank you for this very show. Keep it up with many more seasons ;) And to think my sister said she got bored in season 2 i have absolutely no idea why. because im captain Hooked :). Although i am sad neil is gone now made me cry i really liked him.
FINALLY after cancelling several hit shows, ABC GETS IT RIGHT! REALLY GOOD FAMILY SHOW! Check out those ratings! Would be nice to have MORE SHOWS LIKE THIS WHERE ALL AGES can enjoy this show! About time you made a decent family program where you don't have to worry if it's on when Gramma Rose and Aunt Edna come by. No I'm not a prude but how many people have had to explain to their toddlers what Trojan products are? It should be zero but I know kids are curious. ABC you have a hit show just don't touch it and it will continue to be a hit. Love Regina she's well cast!
Amazing My friend came over to my house watching something on Netflix so, I asked her what she was watching. She said Once Upon A Time. So we sat down and watched 1 episode of season 3. At that moment I fell in love with it. So we watched show after show after show. I didn't really like the movie Peter Pan until now. If I could pick a favorite hero and villain it would be Emma and Regina. The first show I ever watched was when Peter Pan stole Henry's Heart. That episode was called Save Henry.
This show has had its day While Once started out fairly strong, the initial conflict of the series was resolved far too quickly in the first season. Since then the show's writers just keep throwing new one dimensional "villains" at the audience to create more and more contrived situations for the show's characters to move through without any real motivation to speak of. Characters often betray their own personal beliefs as stated in the show at the whim of weak scripts.
Favorite fairytale This is better than reading the books of fairytales however you did not add the last episode of season 3 which is when the frozen character comes to storybrooke. What's up with that??? I feel cheated. They have done the same thing to witches of east end supposed to add the last 2 episodes only added one and they take to long to add the new episodes why do we have to wait a whole day when I would like to pay to watch it at like 5am not 5pm unacceptable I like to watch this and other shows early #playstore
Omg fab Totes fav show in history but they price it stupid we should get it free we are already paying for phone,WiFi and internet . Every one prices the things ridiculous, it's not like everybody is already paying almost $300 oh. wait we are ,so now they want more you could just record on t.v and watch later
Not Your Average Story Book When I first watched it I thought this was gonna be a cheesy version of live action Disney characters. However if you give the show a chance it has its dark moments, it's twists in plot, and a different take on many of the Disney characters. While in season three currently it has a certain appeal that you can get into. It's definitely worth checking out.
Once Upon a Time... is an Addiction. Do you love Fairy~Tales with a twist, do you enjoy surprises in a story or read a book you just can't set down? How about love with a great cast, very original and just when you think you figured it all out, ... boom! Your imagination can't compete with the writers ... The "Author(s)" take the original stories and fairytales we've known as a child growing up in real life, then sprinkle imagination. It's ironic I know. You should not lose that chance of grasping it ... this is just one example or reason I enjoy this series. Just when you think all Hope is lost as the stories move along the Author(s) prove to you ... there is Hope.
Once Upon A Time I got hooked on it during Christmas if 2013. I watched all if it after seeing one episode of when Henry was in Neverland. I have always liked the story of Peter Pan and having seen that episode prompted me to go back and watch ot from the beginning.
Speechless This show is just so great you can't really describe it. They always keep you on the edge of your seat, they will do things that just totally infuriates me but not in the bad way more like ughhh just do something already or why did that have to happen! But it all has its own twist and that's what I think makes it such a great show. That and the amazing cast members. I don't think there is anyone who could play these parts better than the actors and actresses who are already playing them now.
Allison L I really enjoyed the first two seasons but towards the end of season 2 they started adding too many fairytale characters. The have overdone it now & I stopped watching after ep. 2 season three. For season 1 I'd give 4 1/2 stars. Season 2 4 stars
Do you want to be whisked away by the love that snow white has for prince charming? or maybe see a pirate fall in love with a savior? hell even see the evil queen fall in love with a thief with honor? Well then if you answered yes to any of these questions than Once Upon A Time is the show you need to watch! yes its dramatic and often rewritten but it keeps you on the edge of your seat!! No matter how much you don't want to watch it you will end up falling in love with the characters and come on there are some true hotties in this show so go ahead and take a crack at it you'll find out that you love this just as much as i do!!!!
Scary The first time I saw it was at my friends house... she didn't really explain the firsnt season, like when snow is pregnant and they go to see THE DARK ONE and when he goes crazy, that really scared me. Now I love it like when I think EMMA is going to die I literally scream at my TV. And then a HUGE rush of relief washed over me:-). Now for all of you who like HOOK. U ROCK!!!! HOOK IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER because we'll let's just say you have to love a pirate! !;-)♡♡♡♡ LOVE YOU CAPTIN HOOK!♡♡♡♡♡
SEASON 2 STARTS SEPTEMBER 30TH! Get caught up! OUaT is one of the best series to hit the air in a long time. Robert Carlyle is Golden, and Lana Parilla will steal your heart. Jared Gilmore (Henry) is a refreshing departure from televisions average child actors. Thoughtful and believeable. Clichéd romances? Well... Yes, but, it's a Faerie Tale! Thumbs way up for a delightfully welcome escape on Sunday night's. If ABC could stop with the interruption of airing. Very annoying.
Ohmygerddd its just tooooo goooood, i'm srsly drawn inn.. I'm like anxiously waitin and anticipatin every single flippin Sunday, duuuudeughh... WHYYYY CAN'T IT BE SUNDAY ALRDY?!
Why ask? This is the best show ever! Not only does it include classic fairy tales but how "once upon a time" they were all united. It's full with twists and riddles that will drive you nuts for this amazing show. This show will only let you down when a season ends. Let snow white and her daughter take you on a never ending adventure with humor, danger, and wonder. It can also be a family show that you can watch every week. Just trust me and watch this mind capturing show!
Why must i wait a whole week???!!!! After reading these reviews i sort of have to agree the plot can be a bit predictable but come on, it's about fairy tales! I realy need something to distract me for a week. Can not wait!!!! Captin swan rocks:)
OK season Not my favorite season, storyline drags and can get a bit boring. Kind of like the peter pan season. The acting is by far the worst this season but overall its not too bad but again not my favorite. Plus I'm not a fan of frozen so overplayed and overrated. The other seasons are pretty great though. Draws you in.
Good but Repetitive The Characters are exhalant and the story plots are mostly well done, but well they get to be a bit repetative in their stories. I mean Don't they ever get a moment to relax? Its just that they keep having to battle enimies one right after another and their objectives are rather pathetic. I like the series especially the first two sesesonsthey where the best the third was OK the fourth was a bit better and the the fith was just terrible. Above all things it is a pretty good show.
I fell in love with previews... I totally loved the previews of this before it came out last fall. I couldn't get enough and then when the show came out I was so obsessed I watched every episode as if it were going to just fall off the face of the earth. It really is that good. I need a little fairy-tale in my life and this was just the spoon full of sugar I needed. Has a spin on the real world that keeps us on our toes and enough happiness to make our hearts have warmth. I LOVE THIS SHOW AND THE CREATORS SHOULD BE PRAISED!!! ★★★★★
The twists in the form of fairy tale mashups is ingenious and... Makes what's very old and familiar to something new and spellbinding. Love the extreme makeovers on villians and giving them a chance at redemption. Redeeming themselves by uncharacteristically (yes...i think i may have made that up) saving the day --whether it be by undoing the evil deed(s) or spell (s) they crafted --often without a safety to diffuse their proverbial bombs that the good-natured high integrity characters cannot save the day organic to their nature. Disney fairy tales meet Grimm.
This show is about an evil queen whose really determined to get rid of snow white and bring forth a curse tht will send all fairy tale characters to the reality world, rip them of their loved ones and live in a world where happily ever afters dont exist. I love this show! It really brings all the fairy tale characters together in a way i would have never imagine, better than keeping the traditional version a little more evil but really interesting and captivating! I can not get away from this show, once i sit dwn and watch it i never wanna miss a single thing going on. :)
LOVED IT! ONE OF THE BEST SERIES I'VE EVER SEEN!!! During every episode they had me on the edge of my seat although i kinda got mixed up when they put characters in different stories than what they originally were in or twisted their life around like in little red riding hood. It was very nice though, how the incorporated many characters from different stories such as snow white and mulan, and in once upon a time in wonderland, they had Alice and the genie from Aladdin and the red queen and jafar.
I almost always fall asleep while watching TV, doesn't matter what it is. BUT... this show is AMAZING!! I haven't felt like I could say something like this since I was young but I am obsessed with everything about it. I love all of the characters and the plot twists. You never know what's coming next! I love the relationship between Hook and Emma :) Captain Swan.. so sweet. I read that they decided to renew Once Upon A Time for season 6. YES!!! It's nice to read everyone's reviews- sounds like most people enjoy it just as much as I do. xo
Awaiting impatiently It's September 28th of 2015 and I have yet to see the first episode of season 5 appear in the queue, this is the first time I bought something that isn't finished and or started....
Amazing I by far am inlove with this show. After I finished watching the first and second season on Netflix I didn't know what to do with myself. I didn't realize the season 3 episodes were on here, because I work on Sunday's and always miss them. But now I am all caught up and could never be happier.
My absolute favorite #1 I am the shows biggest fan!!! Anyone who rates this show less than **** will get reported as spam. You can hate on this show but not in my presence. #evilqueenRegina
Surprisingly good! A friend recommended this show, and to my surprise I fell in love with it. I usually hate tv shows, and the rare few I watch have to simulate my intellect and keep me on the edge of my seat, like Breaking Bad. The first season is rough (bad acting and weak plots), but 2nd is great! Exciting action and clever rewrites of our favorite fairy tales!
Glad series came on befored I died. I wish this had been on before my home burned in 2006, or my partner died in October 2000. It is just made for the lonely GEEK NERD I've always been. It follows my Childhood imagination I had while walking through the woods alone.
Love it Seen every episode season 1/4, and I have bought seasons 1/3 because they just finished 4th with(spoiler alert) Emma being the dark one. 2 unknown characters dying in the finale of the 4th one comes back one stays dead!!! # DARKNESS EMMA
I LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH!!!!!! My dad had started to watch this when I was about 11. I never got to the true story plot because I only saw 20 minutes of two episodes. However, I got to watch it and my all time favorite character is Peter Pan. I fell in love with him when he started to play his little mind games. I forever am in debt to the creator of this show because I needed a way to get through all the day once, and I got it. I ended up watching the entire 3 seasons and now I don't want to watch the last episode because I know it is officially the last episode of the show. :(
Better then the walking dead The guy who said that the walking dead is better than this show is dumb. The walking dead is about zombies. Oh whoopy!!! Such a big deal.. Not! This is boy comic book fables by the way, they're more like bed time stories so that was wrong on your side. I'm sorry but Vitoris or whatever your name is... You need a brain. Thanks (:
Once upon get more I can't stop watching this show. This is my favorite show ever. Get it on Netflix I need seasons 5 and the rest
