How to Remove People from Vacation Photos in Photoshop
You just got back from a wonderful vacation and can’t wait to post your photos online, but there are a bunch of people in the background distracting from the gorgeous scenery. Learn how to remove people from the background of your photos in today’s episode.
Photoshop Tools for Removing People
When it comes to removing people from photos, there are several tools that will do the job, depending on your image. It is best to learn every tool so you can best choose the right one for the job. In this episode, we teach you each tool for removing people from their backgrounds.
Spot Healing
The Spot Healing Brush tool is probably the easiest tool to use, so we recommend starting here. Be sure to create a new layer before healing and set the tool settings to “Sample all Layers” and “Content Aware”. When you are ready to remove a person, simply paint over the person, the tool will do the rest.
Healing Brush
The Spot Healing Brush tool works well most of the time, but because it automatically chooses the sample point for you, sometimes it doesn’t copy the correct texture. If you need to choose your own sample texture, go with the Healing Brush Tool. Hold ALT/OPTN and click on the desired texture area, then paint over the person you would like to remove. Be sure to cover the entire person to properly remove them. If needed, repeat to clean up any remaining areas.
Clone Stamp
The Clone Stamp Tool will create an exact copy of the sample point - meaning it won’t blend like the Spot Healing Brush and the Healing Brush. This can be advantageous at times, especially when working around sensitive areas and edges.
Patch Tool
The Patch Tool is like a large-scale Healing Brush. First, be sure to check “Sample all Layers” and “Content Aware”, then draw a selection around the object you would like to remove. Once selected, click and drag the selection to the desired area, the patch will be replaced with the sampled area.
Content-Aware Fill
Content Aware Fill will work well on simple backgrounds where the subject is isolated. To use Content-Aware Fill, make a selection around the person or object you would like to remove and go to ‘Edit - Fill’ and choose ‘Content Aware’ from the drop-down menu. Photoshop will find similar areas to the background in the selection and fill them in, replacing the object in the selection.

Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1993. The songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major label recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996, which was later reported as the largest publishing deal ever for an unsigned artist. The band released their self-titled album, Third Eye Blind, in 1997, with the band largely consisting of Jenkins (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Cadogan (lead guitar), Arion Salazar (bass guitar), and Brad Hargreaves (drums). Shortly after the release of the band's second album in 1999, Blue, with the same line-up, Cadogan was released from the band under controversial circumstances.
The band continued on, but with many line-up changes and gaps between album releases. The band released Out of the Vein in 2003 and Ursa Major in 2009, with only Jenkins and Hargreaves as the remaining core members. The band's current iteration, including Kryz Reid (lead guitar), Alex Kopp (keyboards), and Alex LeCavalier (bass guitar), recorded the band's fifth studio album, Dopamine, which was released in 2015.

How to Remove People from Vacation Photos in Photoshop
You just got back from a wonderful vacation and can’t wait to post your photos online, but there are a bunch of people in the background distracting from the gorgeous scenery. Learn how to remove people from the background of your photos in today’s episode.
Photoshop Tools for Removing People
When it comes to removing people from photos, there are several tools that will do the job, depending on your image. It is best to learn every tool so you can best choose the right one for the job. In this episode, we teach you each tool for removing people from their backgrounds.
Spot Healing
The Spot Healing Brush tool is probably the easiest tool to use, so we recommend starting here. Be sure to create a new layer before healing and set the tool settings to “Sample all Layers” and “Content Aware”. When you are ready to remove a person, simply paint over the person, the tool will do the rest.
Healing Brush
The Spot Healing Brush tool works well most of the time, but because it automatically chooses the sample point for you, sometimes it doesn’t copy the correct texture. If you need to choose your own sample texture, go with the Healing Brush Tool. Hold ALT/OPTN and click on the desired texture area, then paint over the person you would like to remove. Be sure to cover the entire person to properly remove them. If needed, repeat to clean up any remaining areas.
Clone Stamp
The Clone Stamp Tool will create an exact copy of the sample point - meaning it won’t blend like the Spot Healing Brush and the Healing Brush. This can be advantageous at times, especially when working around sensitive areas and edges.
Patch Tool
The Patch Tool is like a large-scale Healing Brush. First, be sure to check “Sample all Layers” and “Content Aware”, then draw a selection around the object you would like to remove. Once selected, click and drag the selection to the desired area, the patch will be replaced with the sampled area.
Content-Aware Fill
Content Aware Fill will work well on simple backgrounds where the subject is isolated. To use Content-Aware Fill, make a selection around the person or object you would like to remove and go to ‘Edit - Fill’ and choose ‘Content Aware’ from the drop-down menu. Photoshop will find similar areas to the background in the selection and fill them in, replacing the object in the selection.

Photoshop Tools for Removing People
When it comes to removing people from photos, there are several tools that will do the job, depending on your image. It is best to learn every tool so you can best choose the right one for the job. In this episode, we teach you each tool for removing people from their backgrounds.
Spot Healing
The Spot Healing Brush tool is probably the easiest tool to use, so we recommend starting here. The original master was clipped and compressed, but was still listenable compared to the Blue CD, which was very much a solid bar of sound with no peaks. In any case, the goal here was to reduce bass, declip, and stereo separation. Third Eye Blind is an alternative rock band from San Francisco, California. They were discovered in 1996 when they were invited to open for Oasis. Their performance, as well as the hype around their demo and other works, landed the band a record deal with Elektra Records.
One year later, the band released their self titled debut album and their first single Semi Charmed Life. The album exploded as Semi Charmed Life climbed to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as remaining #1 on the mainstream rock charts for over 8 weeks.
Third Eye Blind followed that single with 4 more popular songs including Jumper and Hows It Going To Be, both of which went on to become Top 10 singles as well. The album went on to sell over 6 million albums, a remarkable debut for this young band from California.
Third Eye Blind followed that record with another album in 2000 called Blue. And while it didn't do nearly as well as their first record, it went on to sell well over a million copies and featured another hit single for the band, Never Let You Go.
