Seconds later, the man allegedly pointed loaded firearms at officers before police were able to pull the man from the vehicle and handcuff him.
A search of the vehicle found two loaded firearms, police said.
The 26-year-old Bray Park man was charged with 30 weapons, property and driving offences, including dangerous conduct with a weapon.
Police said these offences had allegedly occurred over the past couple of months.
He is due to appear in Petrie Magistrates Court on Friday.
