Plot: Forever Plaid is an affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony 'guy groups' that reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s. This quartet of high-school chums, and their earnest dreams of recording an album, ended (symbolically, and even literally) in death, when their cherry red '54 Mercury collided with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The girls were fine. The play begins with the wondrous and wondering Plaids returning from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory.

Plot: Although innocent, photographer Jackie Swanson is rounded up for dealing cocaine and sentenced to 400 hours of community service. She has to shoot nice pictures of police work. Jackie accidentally witnesses the corrupt police lieutenant Eddie Martin killing a pimp. Eddie also was the officer who arrested Jackie. She has taken pictures of the liquidation and uses them to force Eddie to alter his testimony about her so she can regain the custody over her little son she lost due to her conviction. Eddie, of course, tries to acquire the pictures and is assisted by a very unexpected ally...
