Liberty City

Liberty City is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida, United States. The area is roughly bound by NW 79th Street to the north, NW 27th Avenue to the west, Northwest 54th Street to the South, and Interstate 95 to the east. The Miami neighborhood is home to one of the largest concentrations of blacks in South Florida, as of 2000 Census. Although often referred to as "Model City" both historically and by the City of Miami government, the neighborhood is more commonly referred to as "Liberty City" by local residents.

It is serviced by the Miami Metrorail at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza and Brownsville stations along NW 27th Avenue.

History

Once a part of the sparsely populated outskirts of northern Miami, what became Liberty City developed during the Great Depression of the 1930s when President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the construction of the Liberty Square housing project in 1933, the first of its kind in the Southern United States. Built as a response to the deteriorating housing conditions in densely populated and covenant-restricted slums of Overtown, construction on the initial housing project began in 1934 and opened in 1937.

"If You" is a song by Magic Box Italian singer, written by Phil Collins and Tristano De Bonis, produced by Rossano Prini and Gianluca Mensi. The single Italodance and eurodance was launched in January 2003 by Spy/Time.

Music video

The music video "If You" despite having different special effects, it has good content and sound, first by using Magic Box loving feelings mixed with drum sets and sound echoes.

That's What

That's What is one of the more idiosyncratic releases by solo steel-string guitar artist Leo Kottke. It is distinctive in its jazzy nature and "talking" songs ("Buzzby" and "Husbandry"). It reached #24 on Billboard's Top New Age Albums charts, Kottke's highest charting position on Billboard.

The song "Little Snoozer" is played on a Charvel demo model of a Danelectro 6-string bass guitar tuned one octave lower than a standard 6-string guitar.

Kottke has re-recorded at least two more versions of "Jesus Maria".

The Allmusic of the album stated "Leo Kottke has always been a highly idiosyncratic guitar player whose music is infused with his wry sense of humor. That's What is no exception, with Kottke's guitar work drawing from jazzy, blues and folk sources... Tying it all together is Kottke's fine guitar playing, as nimble and as quirky as ever."

Really Love

"Really Love" is a song performed by American neo soul singer D'Angelo (officially credited to D'Angelo and the Vanguard), issued as the first single from his third studio album Black Messiah. It was his first single since 2008's "I Found My Smile Again". Produced by D'Angelo and primarily written by D'Angelo along with Vanguard member Kendra Foster. The Spanish Spoken Word was written and performed by Gina Figueroa, the song peaked at No. 43 on the Billboard R&B chart in 2015.

"Really Love" was nominated for Record of the Year at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, to be held 16 February 2016.

Background

"Really Love" was composed by D'Angelo along with Kendra Foster, a member of his backing band The Vanguard. The song contains a sample of "We the People Who Are Darker Than Blue" by Curtis Mayfield.and a Spanish Spoken Word written and performed by Gina Figueroa. Much of the song was completed as early as 2007, when Questlove leaked snippets of the track to Australian radio station Triple J. The song was completed and released in December 2014, D'Angelo handling the production himself.

Love Someone

"Love Someone" is a song by American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz. It was released on May 19, 2014 on Atlantic Records as the lead single from his fifth studio album Yes!.

Background

Mraz and Mike Mogis produced the song. It was written by Mraz, Chris Keup and Stewart Myers, along with members of the indie-rock-folk band Raining Jane (Mai Bloomfield, Becky Gebhardt, Chaska Potter and Mona Tavakoli). They served as his band on the record. Mraz has been working with other artists in this way since 2007.
