Manisha Koirala

Manisha Koirala (born 16 August 1970) is a Nepalese actress known for her works, innocence and natural beauty in Indian cinema, as well as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and social activist. Koirala has primarily worked in Hindi cinema, though she has appeared in several Nepali, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films as well. She is also an accomplished Bharatnatyam and Manipuri dancer. Born to politician Prakash Koirala and Sushma Koirala in the politically prominent Koirala family of Nepal, she made her acting debut in the Nepali film Pheri Bhetaula (1989). A year later, Koirala made her Bollywood debut with the top-grossing drama Saudagar (1991). She went on to establish herself as one of the leading actresses in the 90s with such mainstream films as 1942: A Love Story (1994), Agni Sakshi (1996) and Gupt (1997), she was also voted the most beautiful actress in 90s.

Recognised for her acting prowess, Koirala was noted for her performances in films such as Bombay, Akele Hum Akele Tum (both 1995), Khamoshi: The Musical (1996), Dil Se.. (1998), Lajja (2001) and Company (2002). She has won the Filmfare Critics' Award thrice and has received four nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress so far. Although box-office collections of her films have varied considerably, critics have noted that her niche as an actor remains unharmed irrespective of her commercial potent. Off-screen she is frequented in the media as a "controversy's child" with her bohemian stance and candid comments often described as "outspoken" and "bold". She was awarded "Nepal's Humanitarian Ambassador" at the We Care for Humanity's 3rd Global Officials of Dignity Awards which was held at UN Millennium Hotel in August, 2015.

Okkadu

Okkadu (The One) is a 2003 Telugu melodrama film written, and directed by Gunasekhar. It stars Mahesh Babu, Bhoomika Chawla, and Prakash Raj. Music was composed by Mani Sharma and editing was helmed by A. Sreekar Prasad. M.S. Raju produced this film. The film has garnered eight Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South, including Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu. The film remains a classic in the history of Telugu Cinema and led Mahesh to instant stardom. The film was later remade into the Tamil as Ghilli and became a blockbuster. The film was also remade in Bengali titled Jor, and in Hindi as Tevar starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The film was also dubbed in Hindi as Aaj ka Sharifzaada.

Plot

Ajay is a Hyderabad-based Kabbadi player who visits Kurnool to take part in a state-level tournament. There, he saves Swapna from Obul Reddy, a dangerous faction leader, who is in love with Swapna and wants to marry her against her wishes. Ajay learns that Swapna is trying to leave to the United States for pursuing higher education after Obul Reddy killed her brothers. When Ajay saves Swapna, he humiliates Reddy by pushing him into a mudpond. Reddy refuses to cleanse the mud until Swapna is found and brought back. Ajay helps Swapna escape and takes her to his house in Old city, hiding her in his room with the help of his sister, Asha.

Allari Ramudu

Allari Ramudu is a 2002 Telugu film which starred N. T. Rama Rao Jr, Gajala, Arthi Agarwal for the first time. B. Gopal directed this film. It is dubbed in Hindi as Main Hoon Khuddar. The film was an average grosser.

Allah-Rakha Rahman ( pronunciation , born A. S. Dileep Kumar on 6 January 1967) is an Indian composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician and philanthropist. Rahman's works are noted for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music, world music and traditional orchestral arrangements.
