Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. Slayer rose to fame with its 1986 release Reign in Blood, and is credited as one of the "big four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Since its debut album in 1983, the band has released twelve studio albums, two live albums, a box set, six music videos, two extended plays and a cover album. Four of the band's studio albums have received gold certification in the United States. The band has received five Grammy nominations, winning one in 2007 for the song "Eyes of the Insane", and one in 2008 for the song "Final Six" (both from 2006's Christ Illusion). Slayer has also played at several music festivals worldwide, including Unholy Alliance, Download and Ozzfest.
Slayer's musical style involves fast tremolo picking, double bass drumming, riffs in irregular scales and shouted vocals. In the original line-up, King, Hanneman, and lead vocalist/bassist Tom Araya contributed to the band's lyrics, and most of the band's music was written by King and Hanneman, with additional help from Araya and drummer Dave Lombardo. The band's lyrics and album art, which cover topics such as murder, serial killers, necrophilia, torture, genocide, human experimentation, Satanism, hate crimes, terrorism, religion, antireligion, Nazism, and warfare, have generated album bans, delays, lawsuits, and criticism from religious groups and the public. However, its music has been highly influential, often being cited by many bands as an influence musically, visually, and lyrically. Between 1991 and 2013, the band sold 4.9 million albums in the United States.

Temptation is a fundamental desire to engage in short-term urges for enjoyment, that threatens long-term goals. In the context of some religions, temptation is the inclination to sin. Temptation also describes the coaxing or inducing a person into committing such an act, by manipulation or otherwise of curiosity, desire or fear of loss.
In the context of self-control and ego depletion, temptation is described as an immediate, pleasurable urge and/or impulse that disrupts an individuals ability to wait for the long-term goals, in which that individual hopes to attain.
More informally, temptation may be used to mean "the state of being attracted and enticed" without anything to do with moral, ethical, or ideological valuation; for example, one may say that a piece of food looks "tempting" even though eating it would result in no negative consequences.
Research suggests that there are paradoxical effects associated with temptation. Including all the forms temptations can present themselves there is a set of options that may facilitate high moral standards in decision making.
Temptation is the fourth studio album by American country singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne, released July 6, 1993. Two songs, "Tell Me I'm Crazy"and "I Need a Heart to Come Home To", were released as singles and one of the tracks, "I Need a Heart to Come Home To", featured on the soundtrack to Tony Scott's 1993 film True Romance.
Following her first three albums, Lynne left her record label Epic and began working with Brent Maher. In a 2009 interview, she said of the move, "After Soft Talk, I knew I had to take control. Hell, if I wasn’t going to be embraced by country radio, I might as well make critically acclaimed albums! I wanted to cross genres and not make that silly-ass country pop." She went on to say, "I consider Temptation the real beginning of my career." Lynne co-wrote two songs on the album, the title track and "Some of That True Love".
Temptation was released on July 6, 1993 on Mercury Records and Morgan Creek. The album reached No. 55 on the US Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 21 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Two songs from the album were released as singles: "Feelin' Kind of Lonely Tonight", which reached No. 69 on the US Hot Country Songs chart, and "Tell Me I'm Crazy", which failed to chart. "I Need a Heart to Come Home To" was included on the soundtrack of Tony Scott's 1993 film True Romance.
"Temptation" is a song by Canadian rock band The Tea Party from the album Transmission. It was released as a single in Australia and a promotional single in Canada and the USA. The music video was shot in Toronto.
"Temptation" is a standard three-piece rock song with keyboard accompaniment and an introduction composed of tar (lute) and a sped-up drum solo (which if played at normal pace sounds not unlike the introduction to When the Levee Breaks).

Slayer - Temptation Guitar Cover Season In The Abyss is still and always will be my all-time favorite Slayer album. Not a boring, forgettable, or just plain bad song whatsoever to be found. There are some cool riffs in this classic from Slayer. This video is out of focus because I'm too impatient to charge the batteries. Oh well, it still sounds pretty good so I uploaded it anyway......Please rate and comment.

Here's my Slayer - Temptation guitar cover in Drop B. I'm going to just keep on plugging away at a lot of these early Slayer songs, both with the Jackson SLXT and my BC Rich in the Drop B Tuning. It's super cool to listen back to these in this tuning and get a whole new listening experience. I've been non-stop listening to Slayer lately, so many more covers on the way! Also, drum sound credits go to this awesome dude right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ-lGH8i9FE ^^Josh Steffen rules, check his channel out!

Have you ever felt the need
To see more than you can see
Look into uncertainty
Reflections of treachery
Would you leave the world behind
Endless life is here to find
I can interest you in lies
Sell your soul for all it buys
Play with your insanity
Shatter your reality
Pulsing in your blood
I can satisfy your greed
For now all your debts are free
I have all eternity
To quench all the death I breed
Recreate the rules of play
From now things are done my way
None have ever won my game
Crucified them all in flames
Play with your insanity
Shatter your reality
Pulsing in your blood
Have you ever danced with the devil?
Has temptation ever summoned you?
Ever penned your name in blood
Let possession slowly swallow you?
When you stand under full moonlight
The attraction mesmerizes you
Have you ever wondered why?
It seems that evil you're attracted to
Reach out to my hand
Step back in time's sand
Genetic wasteland
