Lexus reveals expanded RX range

Lexus has detailed its two new trim levels available on its entry-level RX model.

The Japanese car maker has added F Sport and Sports Luxury trim lines to its RX 200t, which will sit above the existing RX 200t Luxury variant.

Pricing for the new trim lines start at $86,840 before on-road costs for the F Sport and $92,990 for the Sports Luxury.

Power for the RX200t models is provided by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit that delivers 175kW and 350Nm and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The RX200t also has a claimed fuel use of 8.1-litre per 100km.

All Lexus RX200t models come equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, heated and ventilated front seats with 10-way power adjustment, an 8.0-inch display, navigation, digital radio, 12 speaker stereo, power tailgate, auto wipers and front and rear parking sensors.

An expansive range of safety technology includes automated emergency braking with forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto high beam, reversing camera, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.

However, the F Sport model also gain front sport seats and pedals, adaptive variable suspension, sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, unique 20-inch alloy wheels, a sports grille and bumper, a 12.3-inch display, 15-speaker Mark Levinson stereo, colour head-up display and rear passenger sunshades.

The Sports Luxury model adds unique 20-inch alloy wheels with titanium-coloured inserts, 14-way electric adjustable front seats, leather and woodgrain steering wheel.
