El Paso, es una ciudad de Estados Unidos, en el estado de Texas, cabecera del Condado de El Paso. La población de la ciudad según el censo de 2004 es de 592.099 habitantes, siendo la sexta ciudad más poblada de Texas, y la vigésimoprimera más poblada en los Estados Unidos. El Paso es la segunda ciudad más importante a lo largo de la frontera entre Estados Unidos y México, después de San Diego. Se encuentra frente a Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua; México, ciudades separadas por el Río Bravo o Río Grande. Entre ambas forman un área metropolitana de dos millones y medio de personas.
El Paso alberga la Universidad de Texas en El Paso, fundada en 1914, así como el campus de ciencias de la salud de la Universidad Tecnológica de Texas. Además en la ciudad se encuentra una importante base militar llamada Fort Bliss, la cual es una instalación militar del Ejército de los Estados Unidos ubicado al noreste de la ciudad que se extiende hacia el norte hasta White Sands Missile Range. La Montaña Franklin se localizan adentro de El Paso, extendiéndose desde el norte, dividiendo claramente a la ciudad en dos secciones.
La ciudad de El Paso cuenta con el Aeropuerto Internacional de El Paso, estación de ferrocarriles, y es conectada por las ruta Interestatal I-10, U.S. 54, U.S. 180, U.S. 85 y U.S. 62.
El Paso se localiza a latitud 31° 47' 25" N, longitud 106° 25' 24" W (31.790208, -106.423242), y a una altitud de 1.140 m sobre el nivel medio del mar. Existe evidencia arqueológica en Keystone Wetlands y Hueco Tanks que indican que estos sitios albergaron asentamientos humanos desde hace miles de años en la región de El Paso. Los primeros exploradores españoles encontraron pueblos mansos, sumas y jumanos habitando la región que fueron asimilados por la población que se asentó, integrándose a una cultura mestiza. El Paso, Texas
El Paso (/ɛlˈpæsoʊ/; from Spanish, "the pass") is the county seat of El Paso County, Texas, United States, and lies in far West Texas. In 1659, Fray Garcia de San Francisco, established Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission of El Paso del Norte. Around this mission, the village of El Paso del Norte grew into what is now the El Paso–Juárez region. El Paso stands on the Rio Grande (Río Bravo del Norte), across the border from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The two cities, along with Las Cruces (in the neighboring state of New Mexico), form a combined international metropolitan area, sometimes referred as the Paso del Norte or El Paso–Juárez–Las Cruces. The region of over 2.7 million people constitutes the largest bilingual-binational work force in the Western Hemisphere.
The city is the headquarters of one Fortune 500 and three publicly traded companies, as well as home to the Medical Center of the Americas, the only medical research and care provider complex in West Texas and southern New Mexico, and the University of Texas at El Paso, the city's primary university. The city hosts the annual Sun Bowl, the second oldest bowl game in the country.

El Paso alberga la Universidad de Texas en El Paso, fundada en 1914, así como el campus de ciencias de la salud de la Universidad Tecnológica de Texas. Además en la ciudad se encuentra una importante base militar llamada Fort Bliss, la cual es una instalación militar del Ejército de los Estados Unidos ubicado al noreste de la ciudad que se extiende hacia el norte hasta White Sands Missile Range. La Montaña Franklin se localizan adentro de El Paso, extendiéndose desde el norte, dividiendo claramente a la ciudad en dos secciones.

Los primeros exploradores españoles encontraron pueblos mansos, sumas y jumanos habitando la región que fueron asimilados por la población que se asentó, integrándose a una cultura mestiza. Tin Mines Hike From Sneeds Cory on West Side El Paso Texas Tom Mays Franklin Mountains
Make sure to choose full HD. A long hike with Miller. We started right past Sneed's Cory on the West Side at the Tom May's Unit Park in the Franklin Mountains. I could of went to the North East and started from there, but a challenge is always good. A great day, we saw lot's of Spring Blooms, Desert Wildlife (Lizards Butterfly's), a crashed dodge van, and even went inside the Tin Mines. Hiking back we had to go up and over the mountains again so it was quite a challenge. Overall a very interesting and fun day hiking.
