We took the kids to the coast for some fun family time at the beach, but we also did some other pretty fun stuff that the coast has to offer! Everything from riding surrey bikes by the Monterey Bay Aquarium to hiking along the coast at sunset to seeing some of the iconic landmarks of the area such as Bixby Bridge along Highway 1 and the Carmel Mission. Everything from riding surrey bikes by the Monterey Bay Aquarium to hiking along the coast at sunset to seeing some of the iconic landmarks of the area such as Bixby Bridge along Highway 1 and the Carmel Mission. Researchers returned to the coast of Marineland, Fla. for the fifth year to study manta ray migration, genetics, and migratory behaviors. Georgia Aquarium is the only aquarium in the United States to have manta rays. Little is known about them, which makes research like this so important. U.S. Coast Guard assisted a good samaritan vessel on Saturday (September 3) in rescuing 21 passengers and five crew members when a U.S. sportsfishing boat began sinking in Mexican waters, U.S. Coast Guard said.
The Coast Guard station in San Diego received a call that the 63-foot Invicta began sinking after it struck rocks near the near the Coronado Islands, just south of the U.S. Mexican border.

Eerie look at Nazi u-boat off the coast of America that's been a tomb for 45 sailors for 74 years
It took research team seven years to hut down submarine which includes bodies of skipper and Herbert Sprissinger, who died on his 20th birthday
Eerily perched at the bottom of the sea, this is the German u-boat with 45 sailors still entombed inside off the coast of America.
This underwater footage caught the first glimpse of a submarine-like craft which was sunk burying all on board at the bottom of the Atlantic in 1942.
The Nazi craft went down off the coast of North Carolina in the USA and it is thought none managed to escape as all the seals are still intact.
The footage was recorded as the USA's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration found the wreckage after a seven-year hunt.
They went down in a two-person submarine and studied the wrecks of the u-boat and its victim, the Nicaraguan freighter Bluefields, which had a huge torpedo hole in its side.
Unlike the U-576, all of the Bluefields crew survived the attack.
NOAA maritime archaeologist Joe Hoyt and chief investigator on the project told the Washington Post : "It’s sort of unreal.
"It’s all there, just as it went down in 1942,”
"All the hatches we were able to see, were dogged down, closed.
So, you see those hatches closed and the moment you kind of see that, you’re immediately aware that it’s a tomb."
He added: "There’s 45 guys inside of that thing, and no matter the exact circumstances of their demise, it had to just be horrifying."
And almost certainly still on board are the ship's skipper, Hans-Dieter Heinicke, and 44 German sailors, including one Herbert Sprissinger, who died on his 20th birthday.

Spintires is an Intel award winning off-road driving experience designed to challenge the player's driving skill and endurance. Take responsibility of operating large all-terrain vehicles and venture across the rugged landscapes with only a map and compass to guide you. Explore the levels and unlock portions of the map whilst discovering new trucks, fuelling stations, garages and lumber mills.
Collect lumber with the crane attachments and try to deliver them to the objectives. Use the surroundings to your advantage, you may need to winch yourself free! The real-time deformable terrain will challenge even the most seasoned offroader. Do you accept the challenge?
