Progressive music exploring the boundaries of jazz, rock, avant-garde and the unknown.
I actually recorded this a couple of months ago, but never felt like nor had the time to edit it until now. While recording, I had difficulty synching my playing with the music, so since I was focused on that, I didn't play to my "full potential." I could record again, but this is good enough for now. So...I have a confession: I never played any of the Kingdom Hearts games before. I know the VERY basic storyline of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, but I don't even know anything about Birth by Sleep. I have a PSP and planned to buy Birth by Sleep, but I procrastinate on homework so much that I would never have time to play, so I never bought it. Despite this, I LOVE the music from Kingdom Hearts, so I guess that makes up for it? Original Video I used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EuMuNUu6GM She...

This recording shows Taneyev and Pabst playing the work of the third great Russian pianist of the Moscow Conservatory. The work is Arensky's second Suite for Two Pianos, op.23 (subtitled "Silhouettes"). This extract from the third movement (called "Polichinelle" and thought to have influenced Rachmaninoff's piano work of the same name) was made onto an Edison phonograph cylinder in 1892. There are hours and hours of these Russian cylinder recordings extant: go and buy the super 3CD set of transfers from Marston Records (http://www.marstonrecords.com)

SONGS FOR ETERNITY Songs written in the Ghettos and Concentration Camps between 41 and 44 by the prisoners. Excerpts from : Der Tango fun Osvientshim (unknown) A Yiddish Kind (Hannah Haytin) Theresien Stadt (Ilse Weber) Margarit Kelech (Victor Ullman) A Meidel in die Johren (Victor Ullman) Auf der Heide (Willi Rosen) I was in invited on the 27th of January 2015, the day of the liberation of Auschwitz 70 years ago, to sing songs from the Ghettos and Concentration Camps. For this commemoration of the Holocaust in Rome I was introduced to Francesco Lotoro who had dedicated his life to the research of songs and music written in the concentration camps. There is a huge collection and it needs to be remembered for eternity. Especially as a postwar German native, married to a Jewish man her...

I. Molto moderato e cantabile II. Andante rec. 1928 Leff Nicolas Pouishnoff (Russian: Лев Николаевич Пышнов, Lev Nikolayevich Pyshnov) (11 October [O.S. 29 September] 1891 -- 28 May 1959) was a Ukrainian-born pianist and composer, who made his home in the United Kingdom and whose career was largely in the West, from the 1920s onwards. He was especially associated with performances of the works of Frédéric Chopin. Pouishnoff, born into an aristocratic Russian family in either Kiev or Odessa, was drawn to the piano as a young child, and, having acquired some aptitude before the age of ten, gave two public concerts. His parents, not wishing him to be exploited, discouraged this, but after his father's death (when Leff was 9), financial constraints led to his accepting concert engage...

Max und die drei Musketiere (aka "The Three Must-Get-There's"), produced in US, 1922, is a delightful, funny and incredible comedy, starring the great Max Linder. This film was the last of his American period, and unfortunately Max Linder would only star in two more films before his tragic ending. "The Three Must-Get-There's" is a parody of Douglas Fairbanks' character in "The Three Musqeteers" (1922, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylmm5b1t0iA) , so this time Max takes off his characteristic hat and suit and puts on a longhaired French wig and one of those bizarre French regional costumes, Max Linder being at ease with such clothes and making fun of those strange habits of his countrymen, such as being a musketeer, indeed a peculiar job even for the French. The film is a brilliant comedy...
