Never thought I'd make a video in Norwegian, but this was a request (although I was not personally requested. :D Just decided to volunteer, anyway). Besides, this anthem has some sentimental value in it, because I heard it during the Norwegian Military Tattoo 2008 where I was representing Finland.
Although I don't speak Norwegian I think I managed to make Miku pronounce the song quite well. If this gets a lot of negative responses from the Norwegians, I'll remove this video pronto.

Development history: I made this today in about three hours. I guess I've become a bit faster at this. Yay, improvement! But as you can see, I didn't put any effort on the visuals. That's why the video was finished so quickly.

Der er et yndigt land ("There is a lovely land") is the (civil) national anthem of Denmark. The lyrics were written in 1819 by Adam Oehlenschläger. When first published, the anthem had 12 verses, but this was shortened to the first, third, fifth, and last verse in later editions. The music was composed in 1835 by Hans Ernst Krøyer. Later, Thomas Laub and Carl Nielsen each composed alternative melodies, but neither of them has gained widespread adoption, and today they are mostly unknown to the general population.
I mean no offense to the countries parodied. In fact, most of these countries are my favorites, and I wish them all my best. Denmark is among the top 10 of nations I like.
I am very aware that the power generating structure depicted in the video is actually a wind turbine and not a windmill.

The tune was first translated into Norwegian in the 19th century, and several writers wrote lyrics for it that closely resembled the British lyrics, including Henrik Wergeland in 1841. When Norway achieved independence in 1905 and got its own monarchy, the anthem was made official with words by Nicolai Fogtmann, but the next year the lyrics were replaced with ones by Gustav Jensen, a creator of several Norwegian hymns that, together with “Kongesangen”, are still in Norwegian hymnals.

Hatsune Miku sings the Norwegian national anthem
Never thought I'd make a video in Norwegian, but this was a request (although I was not personally requested. :D Just decided to volunteer, anyway). Besides, this anthem has some sentimental value in it, because I heard it during the Norwegian Military Tattoo 2008 where I was representing Finland. Although I don't speak Norwegian I think I managed to make Miku pronounce the song quite well. If this gets a lot of negative responses from the Norwegians, I'll remove this video pronto. Never thought I'd make a video in Norwegian, but this was a request (although I was not personally requested. :D Just decided to volunteer, anyway). Besides, this anthem has some sentimental value in it, because I heard it during the Norwegian Military Tattoo 2008 where I was representing Finland.
Although I don't speak Norwegian I think I managed to make Miku pronounce the song quite well. If this gets a lot of negative responses from the Norwegians, I'll remove this video pronto.

In my travel channel, I share my own trip videos from my journeys. Until now, I traveled around 40 countries and I produced 10.000 stock footage. I am professional traveler and videographer, working many microstock footage companies. In my youtube videos, I try to combine my stock footages by locations, cities and/or countries and try to show people what did I see and I experienced. This is my video blog, a videoblog without narration. I show people what to see, what to do, where to go, when to go, different activities, best attractions, main sightseeing places, famous sights etc. I try to choose happy travel music.
