Yellow /ˈjɛloʊ/ is the color of gold, butter, and ripe lemons. In the spectrum of visible light, and in the traditional color wheel used by painters, yellow is found between green and orange. It is a primary color in subtractive color, used in color printing, along with cyan, magenta, and black.
According to surveys in Europe, Canada and the United States, yellow is the color people most often associate with amusement, optimism, gentleness, and spontaneity, but also with duplicity, envy, jealousy, avarice, and, in the U.S., with cowardice. It plays an important role in Asian culture, particularly in China, where it is seen as the color of happiness, glory, wisdom, harmony and culture.
The word yellow comes from the Old English geolu, geolwe (oblique case), meaning "yellow, yellowish", derived from the Proto-Germanic word gelwaz "yellow". It has the same Indo-European base, gʰel-, as the word yell; gʰel- means both bright and gleaming, and to cry out. Yellow is a color which cries out for attention.
A bikini is usually a women's abbreviated two-piece swimsuit with a bra top for the chest and panties cut below the navel. The basic design is simple: two triangles of fabric on top cover the woman's breasts and two triangles of fabric on the bottom cover the groin in front and the buttocks in back. The size of a bikini bottom can range from full pelvic coverage to a revealing thong or G-string design.
The name for the bikini design was coined in 1946 by Parisian engineer Louis Réard, the designer of the bikini. He named the swimsuit after Bikini Atoll, where testing on the atomic bomb was taking place. Fashion designer Jacques Heim, also from Paris, re-released a similar design earlier that same year, the Atome. Due to its controversial and revealing design, the bikini was slow to be adopted. In many countries it was banned from beaches and public places. The Vatican declared the design sinful. While still considered risqué, the bikini gradually became a part of popular culture when film stars—Brigitte Bardot, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and others—began wearing them on public beaches and in film.

Itsy Bitsy; Teenie Weenie; Yellow Polka Dot Bikini is a novelty song telling the story of a shy girl wearing her first binkni (which happened to be a tiny polka dot one) at the beach. It was written by Paul Vance and Lee Pockriss and first released in June 1960 by Brian Hyland with orchestra conducted by John Dixon. The music tracks were sequenced by Misso D'Egitto who also provided the male vocal. The Female vocalist (as shown on video) is by the late Singing Icon "Dalida".Kitten in water bucket name is unknown. (2013)

Because I have been in a bad mood, I thought to cover a funny German song which was sung also in English version (Yellow Polka Dot Bikini) from Brian Hyland. I know the German version from Catarina Valente at the 60´s. Also , here in Germany we have Fasching, it is like Carneval or Halloween. I played with keyboard and guitar and the trumpet I also played with keyboard. In video I did fake , but with real trumpet ;-) Hope you enjoy .........:-))

From a late '70s Gong Show. An excellent rendition of "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" but apparently the judges noticed that her bikini was neither yellow nor polka dot.
