Real life is a phrase used to distinguish actual events, people, and activities from fictional worlds or characters, or from interactions on the Internet.
On the Internet, "real life" refers to life offline. Online, the acronym "IRL" stands for "in real life", with the meaning "not on the Internet". For example, while Internet users may speak of having "met" someone that they have contacted via online chat or in an online gaming context, to say that they met someone "in real life" is to say that they literally encountered them in a common physical location. Some, arguing that the Internet is part of real life, prefer to use AFK (such as the documentary TPB AFK).
Some sociologists engaged in the study of the Internet have predicted that someday, a distinction between online and real-life worlds may seem "quaint", noting that certain types of online activity, such as sexual intrigues, have already made a full transition to complete legitimacy and "reality".
Real Life may refer to:
Albert Lawrence Brooks (born Albert Lawrence Einstein; July 22, 1947) is an American actor, writer, comedian, and director. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for 1987's Broadcast News. His voice acting credits include Marlin the clownfish in Disney/Pixar's 2003 computer-animated film Finding Nemo, and recurring guest voices for the animated television series The Simpsons, including Russ Cargill in The Simpsons Movie (2007). Additionally, he has written, directed and starred in several comedy films such as Modern Romance (1981), Lost in America (1985) and Defending Your Life (1991) and is the author of the satire 2030: The Real Story of What Happens to America (2011).
Brooks was born in Beverly Hills, California, the son of Thelma Leeds (née Goodman), a singer and actress, and Harry Einstein, a radio comedian who performed on Eddie Cantor's radio program and was known as Parkyakarkus. His brothers are comedic actor Bob Einstein, better known by a character he created named "Super Dave Osborne", and for a recurring role in Curb Your Enthusiasm; and Cliff Einstein, a partner and longtime chief creative officer at Los Angeles advertising agency Dailey & Associates. His half-brother was Charles Einstein (1926–2007), a writer for such television programs as Playhouse 90 and Lou Grant. Brooks is Jewish; his grandparents emigrated from Austria and Russia. He grew up among show business families in southern California, attending Beverly Hills High School with Richard Dreyfuss and Rob Reiner.
Sylvester Gardenzio "Sly" Stallone (/stəˈloʊn/; Italian pronunciation: [(ɡarˈdɛntsjo) stalˈloːne]; born July 6, 1946) is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. He is well known for his Hollywood action roles, particularly boxer Rocky Balboa, the title character of the Rocky series' seven films from 1976 to 2015; soldier John Rambo from the four Rambo films, which ran from 1982 to 2008; and Barney Ross in the three The Expendables films from 2010 to 2014. He wrote or co-wrote most of the 14 films in all three franchises, and directed many of the films.
Stallone's film Rocky was inducted into the National Film Registry as well as having its film props placed in the Smithsonian Museum. Stallone's use of the front entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Rocky series led the area to be nicknamed the Rocky Steps. Philadelphia has a statue of his Rocky character placed permanently near the museum. It was announced on December 7, 2010 that Stallone was voted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the non-participant category.
Robert "Rocky" Balboa, Sr. is the title character of the Rocky series. The character was created by Sylvester Stallone, who also portrayed him in all seven Rocky films. He is depicted as an everyman who started out by going the distance and overcoming obstacles that had occurred in his life and career as a professional boxer. He is loosely based on Chuck Wepner, a one-time boxer who fought Muhammad Ali and lost. However, the fight went on with Wepner lasting for several rounds before being finally defeated.
The character is widely considered to be Stallone's most iconic role together with John Rambo, and is often considered the role that started his film career. He received critical acclaim for his performance in the first movie, earning Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations, although reception for the sequels was less positive. When Stallone reprised his role once again in 2015 for Creed, his performance received wide acclaim and he received his first Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, along with his third Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, the National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actor and several other accolades.
In his directorial debut, Albert Brooks (The Muse, Mother) brings his special brand of madness to the screen in "Real Life." A precursor to the reality based TV shows which have become part of America's pop culture, Brooks' film presents a hilarious account of what happens to a typical American family when a group of filmmakers moves in with them to record "real life." Brooks heads up the crew that invades the Phoenix household of Charles Grodin, Frances Lee McCain and their children. The results are disastrous... and hysterically funny.

This is a movie idea I've had for at least 2 years. I really like the idea of a fictional character finding out he's not real and wanting to live a real life. To me, Tom Cruise is pitch perfect for the role. This is basically me making my movie idea somewhat real. I hope you like it. Expect more trailer mashups like this one in the future :) Enjoy! A movie character (Tom Cruise) finds out he's not real. He escapes the screen and wants to live a real life. Hollywood is on the hunt to find him. He finds his screenwriter (Jennifer Connelly) and he falls in love. Will it end like it does in the movies or will it end tragically? Loretta (Nai Bonet) is a singer and escort in a mob-owned NYC nightclub and illegal casino. The favorite working girl of manager George (Tony Page), Loretta is unhappy with her current occupation and looking for a way out. George, meanwhile, is losing his stranglehold on the business. Complications arise when Loretta finds herself falling for a man she meets in her off-hours. This low-budget drama was the last film for the fascinatingly wooden creator/producer/star, Nai Bonet ("Nocturna, Granddaughter of Dracula"), and it costars disco singer Vicki Sue Robinson, Jean Smart, Michael V. Gazzo, Peter Iacangelo, Raymond Serra, and Tony Page, with special appearances by Cissy Houston and T. Life. Filmed and released in 1980, not 1979, which is cited on other websites. According to internet l...
Philby, Burgess and MacLean a Granada TV drama written by Ian Curteis in 1977, covers the period of the late 1940s, when British intelligence investigated Maclean until 1955 when the British government cleared Philby because it did not have enough evidence to convict him. Cambridge Spies, a 2003 four-part BBC drama, recounts the lives of Philby, Burgess, Blunt and Maclean from their Cambridge days in the 1930s through the defection of Burgess and Maclean in 1951. Philby is played by Toby Stephens. German author Barbara Honigmann's Ein Kapitel aus meinem Leben tells the histor...

Go for Broke! is a 1951 war film directed by Robert Pirosh,[1] produced by Dore Schary and starred Van Johnson, several veterans of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and Henry Nakamura. The film dramatizes the real-life story of the 442nd, which was composed of Nisei (second-generation Americans born of Japanese parents) soldiers.[2] In 1979, the film entered the public domain (in the USA) due to the claimants failure to renew its copyright registration in the 28th year after publication.[5] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_for_Broke!_(1951_film)
