"Let Me Entertain You" is a single by Robbie Williams, released as the fifth and final single from his debut album, Life thru a Lens. It was written by Williams and Guy Chambers. It has no connection to the songs by Queen or Shakespears Sister carrying the same title. In March 1998, the track became a top three hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at number three. The song became Williams' concert opener for most of his shows throughout his career.
The song became a hit in the United Kingdom staying inside the top ten for a month, and being certified Silver, for sales over the 200,000 copies.[1]
This song was heavily featured in the video game Actua Soccer 3 - and, aside from the classical piece played in the opening video, is the only song featured in the game. It was also featured in a UK commercial for the Sega Dreamcast.
The song is used at the end of the football match in the movie Mean Machine.
In 2008, the song was performed by Westlife on their Back Home Tour.
In 1999, Williams performed the song as the opening act at the Brit Awards.
In 2012, Robbie Williams performed the song as the opening act for the Diamond Jubilee Concert as part of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Robin Williams
Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor and comedian. Starting as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, he is credited with leading San Francisco's comedy renaissance. After rising to fame as Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978–82), he went on to establish a career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting. He was known for his improvisational skills.
After his film debut in the musical comedy Popeye (1980), he starred or co-starred in widely acclaimed films, including the comedy-drama The World According to Garp (1982), war comedy Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), dramas Dead Poets Society (1989) and Awakenings (1990), comedy-drama The Fisher King (1991), the animated musical-fantasy Aladdin (1992), drama Good Will Hunting (1997), and psychological thriller One Hour Photo (2002), as well as financial successes such as the fantasy adventure film Hook (1991), comedy Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), fantasy adventure Jumanji (1995), comedy The Birdcage (1996), and the Night at the Museum trilogy.

Robbie Williams
Robert Peter "Robbie" Williams (born 13 February 1974) is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. He was a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995 and again from 2009 to 2012. He has also had commercial success as a solo artist.
Williams rose to fame in the band's first run in the early-to-mid-1990s. After many disagreements with the management and group members, Williams left the group in 1995 to launch a hugely successful solo career, which saw his first seven albums each reach number one in the UK. Williams also released seven number-one singles and found similar success across Europe. On 15 July 2010, it was announced he had rejoined Take That. The group's subsequent album became the second fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time.Gary Barlow has since confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time, although the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin the band in the future.

A diamond jubilee is a celebration held to mark a 60th or 75th anniversary.
Western monarchies
Originally celebrated on a 75th Anniversary, this changed in Britain, with the 60-year reign of Queen Victoria, which was commemarated as The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria and was celebrated on 22 June 1897, The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was celebrated across the Commonwealth of Nations throughout 2012.
Asian monarchies
In East Asia, the diamond jubilee coincides with the traditional sixty-year sexagenary cycle, which is held in special importance despite not being called a "diamond jubilee."
Monarchs such as the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors of China, and Hirohito of emperor of Japan held celebrations for their sixtieth year of reign, as did King Bhumibol Adulyadej the King of Thailand on 10 June 2006.
National governments also mark their sixtieth anniversary as diamond jubilees, as did the Republic of Korea in 2005 and the People's Republic of China in 2009.
In South Asia, the term is also used for certain 100-week anniversaries. For instance, in both India and Pakistan, a diamond jubilee film is one shown in cinemas for 100 weeks or more.

Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor and comedian. Starting as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, he is credited with leading San Francisco's comedy renaissance. After rising to fame as Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978–82), he went on to establish a career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting. He was known for his improvisational skills.
After his film debut in the musical comedy Popeye (1980), he starred or co-starred in widely acclaimed films, including the comedy-drama The World According to Garp (1982), war comedy Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), dramas Dead Poets Society (1989) and Awakenings (1990), comedy-drama The Fisher King (1991), animated musical fantasy Aladdin (1992), drama Good Will Hunting (1997), and psychological thriller One Hour Photo (2002), as well as financial successes such as the fantasy adventure film Hook (1991), comedy Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), fantasy adventure Jumanji (1995), comedy The Birdcage (1996), and fantasy adventure-comedy Night at the Museum (2006).
In 1998, Williams won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. He also received two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Grammy Awards throughout his career.
On August 11, 2014, after a long history of depression, Williams committed suicide at his home in Paradise Cay, California.

This is the raw vision/sound of an interview me and Chris Murray conducted in Sydney in late 2010 for the now-defunct cable show The Movie Club. I posted the footage a few months ago because I've always liked how it showed the low-key Robin Williams behind the sometimes manic persona I'd seen in other interviews. He was a lovely guy, very happy to chat afterwards and was instrumental in arranging for me to visit his hero, Mort Sahl, in Mill Valley, California, for another interview. He will be missed.

Beloved actor Robin Williams was found dead on Monday, police reported. He was 63. The apparent cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation, authorities said. According to his publicist, Williams had been battling severe depression. Williams was best known for his starring roles in classic comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning, Vietnam and Jumanji, but also in dramas like Dead Poets Society. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. After his film debut in the musical comedy Popeye (1980), he starred or co-starred in widely acclaimed films, including the comedy-drama The World According to Garp (1982), war comedy Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), dramas Dead Poets Society (1989) and Awakenings (1990), comedy-drama The Fisher King (1991), animated musical fantasy Aladdin (1992), drama Good Will Hunting (1997), and psychological thriller One Hour Photo (2002), as well as financial successes such as the fantasy adventure film Hook (1991), comedy Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), fantasy adventure Jumanji (1995), comedy The Birdcage (1996), and fantasy adventure-comedy Night at the Museum (2006).
In 1998, Williams won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. He also received two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Grammy Awards throughout his career.
On August 11, 2014, after a long history of depression, Williams committed suicide at his home in Paradise Cay, California.

Breaking last night and shared on his Facebook account, Hellboy creator Mike Mignola announced that Stranger Thing’s David Harbour is in talks to star in an R Rated Hellboy reboot directed by The Decent and Game of Thrones’ director Neil Marshall. The project goes by the working title of Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen and has a script by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and Mignola. Both Guillermo del Toro and original Hellboy star Ron Perlman are not involved in the project. Marshall is now developing a new script with Aron Coleite, who worked on NBC's Heroes and is also working on the new Star Trek: Discovery series. No release date has been set.
Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment unveiled the very first trailer for Blade Runner 2049, the highly anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1980’s sci-fi classic. Directed by Arrival and Sicario filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, 2049 takes place 30 years after the events of the first film and stars Ryan Gosling as a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K, who unearths a secret that leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard, played by Harrison Ford.
Variety is reporting that Russell Crowe is in talks to play legendary attorney Clarence Darrow alongside David Oyelowo in Arc of Justice for the Mark Gordon Company, directed by Narcos helmer Jose Padilha. Based on Kevin Boyle’s book “Arc of Justice: A Saga of Race, Civil Rights, and Murder in the Jazz Age,” the true story centers on a racial incident in 1925 Detroit that put African American doctor Ossian Sweet on the stand for murder; with his defense funded by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People led by Darrow.

A new trailer has been release for Absolutely Anything, a comedy that stars Simon Pegg and Robin Williams as the voice of his faithful dog. The movie also has the distinction of being one of the last feature films to feature the Monty Python crew working together.
It’s been six years since Joe Cornish’s Attack The Block came out in cinemas and now, via a report from The Playlist, Cornish is finally set to direct his sophomore film, The Kid Who Would Be King. Word broke about the project from casting director Jessica Ronane, who posted the announcement on Twitter. Cornish will team with Working Title for the film described as “a family fantasy action-adventure movie about a band of young kids embarking on an epic quest.

In 1970 Sheehan was the first entertainment reporter-critic on a newscast in the history of television.
Now, Sheehan has fashioned what he calls his "swan song show”, a Pre-Oscar video special entitled "AND THE WINNERS ARE …”, which turns out to have more major stars (25) than any hour-long show in the history of television.
"AND THE WINNERS ARE …” is a fast-paced 60-minute spectacular featuring 25 of Sheehan’s movie star interviews of the most famous Oscar winners (and losers) from the past five decades, including screen icons Marlon Brando, Woody Allen, Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sylvester Stallone, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Robert Redford, Clint Eastwood, Dustin Hoffman, John Travolta, Jack Nicholson, Paul Newman, Robin Williams, Al Pacino, and ten more.
The show’s opening segment very poignantly deals with the Oscar controversy over African-Americans being completely left out of the nominations this year, and last. Will Smith, who fostered the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite trending social media protest (with wife Jada Pinkett), is the leadoff star, while Oscar winners Denzel Washington, Halle Berry and Morgan Freeman are on hand as reminders that the Academy Awards weren’t always so whitewashed.
