I've been using the Sony A7R II for over a year now and there are many things that leave me frustrated when using it for photography. It's no lie that I absolutely love this camera for video work and the picture it produces is simply insane for a camera of this size and price point.
A lot of my frustrations are software based which just makes it even more annoying, because solutions could easily be retrofitted to the camera. There are many things that I could really slate about this camera, but I know that no camera is perfect, so I will save those thoughts for another time or a blog post.
If you're looking to purchase a Sony A7, I am not trying to discourage you. I just want to point out that the specs of a camera are not everything and usability is king—as with anything that is built!
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below, whether you agree with me or want further clarity on things, it would be great to get your response.

I've been using the Sony A7R II for over a year now and there are many things that leave me frustrated when using it for photography. It's no lie that I absolutely love this camera for video work and the picture it produces is simply insane for a camera of this size and price point.
A lot of my frustrations are software based which just makes it even more annoying, because solutions could easily be retrofitted to the camera. There are many things that I could really slate about this camera, but I know that no camera is perfect, so I will save those thoughts for another time or a blog post.
If you're looking to purchase a Sony A7, I am not trying to discourage you. I just want to point out that the specs of a camera are not everything and usability is king—as with anything that is built!
