Sandals Royal Caribbean wins again
Sandals Royal Caribbean last week won the ‘Organisational Focus Award’ for the service sector at the National Quality Award (NQA) ceremony which was hosted by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica. The event, which took place at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston, saw the Luxury Included® resort as one of only two hospitality entities recognised for upholding high standards and quality systems in its operation. Emphasis was placed on corporate social responsibility, leadership, environmental awareness, workflow systems and employee training and development.
The resort has also been a repeat winner for this sectional prize in previous years, and thus has been able to raise the bar each year with its products and services offered to guests. Here, the team from Sandals Royal Caribbean proudly shows off their award at the NQA ceremony as they pose with Prime Minister Andrew Holness (second right). Team members are (from left) Tracie Shortridge, training and development manager; Gerald Christ, general manager; Theressa Hemans, sales executive assistant; and Ophir Gayle, regional public relations coordinator for the Montego Bay region.
