It is constituted as a federation of 23 provinces and an autonomous city, Buenos Aires. It is the eighth-largest country in the world by land area and the largest among Spanish-speaking nations.
Argentina's continental area is between the Andes mountain range in the west and the Atlantic Ocean in the east. It borders Paraguay and Bolivia to the north, Brazil and Uruguay to the northeast, and Chile to the west and south. Argentine claims over Antarctica, as well as overlapping claims made by Chile and the United Kingdom, are suspended by the Antarctic Treaty of 1961. Argentina also claims the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas) and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, which are administered by the United Kingdom as British Overseas Territories.
A recognised middle power, Argentina is Latin America's third-largest economy, with a "very high" rating on the Human development index. Within Latin America, Argentina has the fifth highest nominal GDP per capita and the highest in purchasing power terms. Analysts have argued that the country has a "foundation for future growth due to its market size, levels of foreign direct investment, and percentage of high-tech exports as share of total manufactured goods", and it is classed by investors as middle emerging economy. Argentina is a founding member of the United Nations, Mercosur, the Union of South American Nations, the Organization of Ibero-American States, the World Bank Group and the World Trade Organization, and is one of the G-15 and G-20 major economies.

The origins of modern-day Austria date back to the time of the Habsburg dynasty when the vast majority of the country was a part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Austria became one of the great powers of Europe and, in response to the coronation of Napoleon I as the Emperor of the French, the Austrian Empire was officially proclaimed in 1804. In 1867, the Austrian Empire was reformed into Austria-Hungary.

Cameroon, officially the Republic of Cameroon (French: République du Cameroun), is a country in west Central Africa. Fulani soldiers founded the Adamawa Emirate in the north in the 19th century, and various ethnic groups of the west and northwest established powerful chiefdoms and fondoms. Cameroon became a German colony in 1884.

Enschede (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɛns.χə.ˌdeɪ̯] ( listen)), also known as Eanske in the local dialect of Twents, is a municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. The municipality of Enschede consisted of the city of Enschede until 1935, when the rural municipality of Lonneker, which surrounded the city, was annexed after the rapid industrial expansion of Enschede which began in the 1860s and involved the building of railways and the digging of the Twentekanaal.
The early history of Enschede is largely unknown, but a settlement existed around the Old Marketplace in early medieval times. The name of this settlement is mentioned as Anescede or Enscede meaning either "near the border" (with Bentheim) or "near the Es" and sported a church, a marketplace and a fortified aristocratic house.
Enschede was granted city rights around 1300 which were confirmed in 1325 by Bishop Jan III van Diest and henceforth was allowed to protect itself with a wall. Because a stone wall was too expensive (since stone had to be imported), Enschede had a system of ditches, palisades and hedges instead, which is still reflected in the street-names Noorderhagen and Zuiderhagen (North Hedge and South Hedge, respectively). The city plan of this era is still recognisable in the street-pattern.

The Hellenic city of Olbia was refounded on the Phoenician settlement that dated to the fourth century BCE; Olbia is mentioned by the geographer Strabo (IV.1.5) as a city of the Massiliotes that was fortified "against the tribe of the Salyes and against those Ligures who live in the Alps." Greek and Roman antiquities have been found in the area. The first reference to the town dates from 964.
Originally a possession of the Viscount of Marseilles, it was later transferred to Charles of Anjou. Louis IX King of France (often known as "St Louis") landed at Hyères in 1254 when returning from the Crusades.

The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes the de facto capital city of Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the largest metropolitan area in the world, with over 30 million residents.
Archaeological research indicates that people lived in Japan as early as the Upper Paleolithic period. The first written mention of Japan is in Chinese history texts from the 1st century AD. Influence from other nations followed by long periods of isolation has characterized Japan's history. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, victory in the First Sino-Japanese War, the Russo-Japanese War and World War I allowed Japan to expand its empire during a period of increasing militarism. The Second Sino-Japanese War of 1937 expanded into part of World War II in 1941, which came to an end in 1945 following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Kerkrade ([ˈkɛr.kraːdə] ( listen), Limburgish: Kirchroa) is a town and a municipality in the southeastern Netherlands. It is the western half of the divided region and de facto city, taken together with the eastern half, the German town of Herzogenrath. The original name of the undivided municipality under the Holy Roman Empire was Herzogenrath.
The two towns, including outlying suburban settlements, have a population approaching 100,000.
The history of Kerkrade is closely linked with that of the adjacent town of Herzogenrath, just across the German border. Herzogenrath began as a settlement, called Rode, near the river Worm (or Wurm in German) in the 11th century. In 1104 Augustinian monks founded an abbey, called Kloosterrade, to the west of this settlement.
It was called 's-Hertogenrode or 's-Hertogenrade (Dutch: the Duke's Rode) after the duchy of Brabant took control over the region; in French it was called Rolduc (Rode-le-duc). As is the case for many parts of the Southern Netherlands, the place changed hands several times in the last few centuries. It was under Spanish control from 1661, Austrian between 1713 and 1785 and French between 1795 and 1813. In 1815, when the kingdom of the Netherlands was formed (see Vienna Congress), the border was drawn through Herzogenrath, the western part being Kerkrade.

KLFA Stadium
KLFA Stadium or Kuala Lumpur Football Association Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the current home stadium of Kuala Lumpur FA, and also host home matches for Felda United FC. Former Malaysia teams that uses the stadium as home ground includes PDRM FA and PLUS FC. The stadium holds 18,000 people. The stadium has been closed since January 2012 due to some problems between the tenants and the City Hall.

Kobe
Kobe (神戸市, Kōbe-shi?, Japanese pronunciation: [koːbe]), is the fifth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, approximately 30 km (19 mi) west of Osaka. With a population of about 1.5 million, the city is part of the Keihanshin (Keihanshin) metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto.
The earliest written records regarding the region come from the Nihon Shoki, which describes the founding of the Ikuta Shrine by Empress Jingū in AD 201. For most of its history the area was never a single political entity, even during the Tokugawa Period, when the port was controlled directly by the Tokugawa Shogunate. Kobe did not exist in its current form until its founding in 1889. Its name comes from "kanbe" (神戸?), an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine. Kobe became one of Japan's 17 designated cities in 1956.
Kobe was one of the cities to open for trade with the West following the end of the policy of seclusion and has since been known as a cosmopolitan port city. While the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake diminished much of Kobe's prominence as a port city, it remains Japan's fourth busiest container port. Companies headquartered in Kobe include ASICS, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Kobe Steel, as well as over 100 international corporations with Asia or Japan headquarters in the city such as Procter & Gamble, Boehringer-Ingelheim and Nestlé. The city is the point of origin and namesake of Kobe beef as well as the site of one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, Arima Onsen.

Kuala Lumpur is the federal capital and most populous city in Malaysia. It consists of thirteen states and three federal territories and has a total landmass of 329,847 square kilometres (127,350 sq mi) separated by the South China Sea into two similarly sized regions, Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo. Land borders are shared with Thailand, Indonesia, and Brunei, and maritime borders exist with Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The capital city is Kuala Lumpur, while Putrajaya is the seat of the federal government. In 2010 the population exceeded 27.5 million, with over 20 million living on the Peninsula.
Malaysia has its origins in the Malay Kingdoms present in the area which, from the 18th century, became subject to the British Empire. The first British territories were known as the Straits Settlements, whose establishment was followed by the Malay kingdoms becoming British protectorates. The territories on Peninsular Malaysia were first unified as the Malayan Union in 1946. Malaya was restructured as the Federation of Malaya in 1948, and achieved independence on 31 August 1957. Malaya united with Sabah, Sarawak, and Singapore on 16 September 1963, with si being added to give the new country the name Malaysia. However, less than two years later in 1965, Singapore was expelled from the federation. Since independence, Malaysia has had one of the best economic records in Asia, with GDP growing an average 6.5% for almost 50 years. The economy has traditionally been fuelled by its natural resources, but is expanding in the sectors of science, tourism, commerce and medical tourism.

Miyagi Prefecture
Miyagi Prefecture (宮城県, Miyagi-ken?) is a prefecture of Japan in the Tōhoku Region on Honshu island. The capital is Sendai.
Miyagi Prefecture was formerly part of the province of Mutsu. Mutsu Province, on northern Honshu, was one of the last provinces to be formed as land was taken from the indigenous Emishi, and became the largest as it expanded northward. The ancient capital was in modern Miyagi Prefecture.
In the third month of second year of the Wadō era (709), there was an uprising against governmental authority in Mutsu Province and in nearby Echigo Province. Troops were promptly dispatched to subdue the revolt.
In Wadō 5 (712), the land of Mutsu Province was administratively separated from Dewa Province. Empress Gemmei's Daijō-kan continued to organize other cadastral changes in the provincial map of the Nara period, as in the following year when Mimasaka Province was divided from Bizen Province; Hyūga Province was sundered from Osumi Province; and Tamba Province was severed from Tango Province.

Miyagi Stadium
Miyagi Stadium (宮城スタジアム, Miyagi Sutajiamu?) is an athletic stadium in the town of Rifu in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The stadium's capacity is 49,133. The crescent-shaped roof extending past the edge of the stadium is meant to evoke images of Date Masamune, a Daimyo of Mutsu Province, which included the present-day Miyagi Prefecture.
Miyagi Stadium hosted three matches in the 2002 World Cup, and also hosted the 56th National Sports Festival of Japan in 2001.
The football field, is surrounded by a nine-lane track. A large video screen and scoreboard is installed in the northern end.

Besides the game against Turkey, Miyagi Stadium has hosted two friendly matches involving the Japanese national football team: A 1-1 draw against Slovakia on June 11, 2000, and a 5-4 victory against Honduras on September 7, 2005. J. League club Vegalta Sendai has held home games at Miyagi Stadium, and pop-music group SMAP has held two outdoor concerts at the venue as well.
Rifu Station is the closest train station, although it is nearly 3.5 kilometers from the stadium. For major events, bus transportation is usually available from Izumi-Chūō and Sendai Stations. Before the World Cup, a spur from the Sanriku Expressway was built, which provided easier access for travellers by car from Tokyo and other locales.

Executive power is exercised by the government but more importantly by the king himself. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the two chambers of parliament, the Assembly of Representatives and the Assembly of Councillors. The king can also issue decrees called dahirs which have the force of law. The latest Parliamentary elections were held in November 25, 2011, and were considered by some neutral observers to be mostly free and fair. Voter turnout in these elections was estimated to be 43% of registered voters, but only about 25% of Moroccan adult citizens actually voted. The rest either chose not to vote or they were not registered as voters. It was united with the rest of Italy in 1860, but a subsequent economic collapse led to a wave of emigration, separatism, and the emergence of the Mafia, whose criminal activities pose problems to this day. After the birth of the Italian Republic in 1946, Sicily was given special status as an autonomous region.

Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva (born 2 September 1989), commonly known as Alexandre Pato, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Milan and the Brazilian national team. His nickname, Pato, refers to his place of birth, Pato Branco. The literal translation of "pato" from Portuguese to English is "duck," which has evolved into a common nickname for him.
In June 2006, at only 16 years of age, Pato was signed by Sport Club Internacional to compete in the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20. Andrea Caracciolo (born 18 September 1981) is an Italian footballer who plays for Novara in the Serie A.

That month also saw Caracciolo replaced Quagliarella, Quagliarella replaced Vincenzo Iaquinta and Fabrizio Miccoli replaced Caracciolo. Moreover, Sampdoria and Palermo formed numbers of swap deal in 2006 summer transfer windows, made there was a net debt of about €2.2 million from Palermo to Sampdoria on 30 June 2007 (without counting Caracciolo; or exactly €3.5 million ca in July 2006);, made the signing of Caracciolo again involved little cash.

After his retirement, Tesser began a coaching career in 1992 for Serie D side Sevegliano, and successively became a coach at the youth level for Udinese and Venezia. His first professional coaching job came in 2001, for Serie C2 side F.C. Südtirol-Alto Adige. In 2003, he replaced Ezio Rossi at the helm of U.S. Triestina Calcio of Serie B. After a very good season, followed by a poorer one, Tesser moved to Cagliari Calcio of Serie A in 2006, but was fired just after the first league match by team chairman Massimo Cellino. On July 2006, he was named coach of Ascoli, replacing Marco Giampaolo. However, after a serie of struggling results ended in a 1-0 home defeat to Empoli F.C. in the 11th matchday, Tesser was fired and replaced by Nedo Sonetti.

Gionatha Spinesi (born 9 March 1978 in Pisa) is an Italian former footballer.
Spinesi started playing for Pisa Calcio. In November 1995 he signed for Inter Milan, however, he was not able to make appearance in the first team. Sold in January 1997 to Castel di Sangro, he played two unimpressive Serie B seasons for the small Serie B team. In June 1997 he joined A.S. Bari, where he made his Serie A debut and played six seasons. In February 2004, he was released for free by Bari following clashes with the board about his contract renewal.

In 2006–07 Spinesi kept his excellent top flight record up by notching 17 goals and ensuring Catania remained in Serie A. However, from 2008 onwards he failed to get back into the first team due to recurrent injuries, and he was released on June 2009. Upon graduating university Fujimoto joined Shimizu S-Pulse in 2006 and inherited jersey number 10 from Masaaki Sawanobori. During his first full professional season Fujimoto played in 28 league games and scored 8 goals. He was awarded the J-League Young Player of the Year Award. He was seriously injured in late season of 2008 and made a comeback goal against Kyoto Sanga F.C. via direct free kick in 19 August 2009.

Junichi Inamoto
Junichi Inamoto (稲本 潤一, Inamoto Jun'ichi?, born 18 September 1979) is a Japanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kawasaki Frontale.
Inamoto played for Japanese club Gamba Osaka during his last year of high school, signing with the club in 1998. He was then one of many high profile transfers of Asian players to Europe, signing with Arsenal of the Premier League. Inamoto scored two goals for the Japanese national team at the 2002 World Cup, but had already been released by Arsenal shortly before the tournament began. He was then signed by Fulham on a long-term loan deal from Gamba Osaka. Initially he settled well at the London club, garnering good notices as a tough-tackling midfielder with an eye for a spectacular goal. He became a cult favourite quickly, scoring four goals over the two legs of Fulham's Intertoto Cup final against Bologna, scoring once in the first leg and a hat trick in the second. Other notable goals he scored in his time for Fulham include goals against Tottenham Hotspur,Sunderland,Middlesbrough and also in the 3–1 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford in October 2003. He also scored in the FA Cup against Everton which commentator Barry Davies described as "a Japanese peach".[citation needed] However, he sustained a fractured tibia in an international friendly against England, and returned to Gamba Osaka to do promotional work. Fulham were interested in signing him once more, but concerns remained over his recovery from injury.

He worked as a coach at Cerezo's youth setup from 2003. He was promoted to an assistant coach of clubs top team in the middle of the 2004 season and helped them to stay up at Division 1. He was offered a contract extension but he declined it to prepare for acquiring the S-Class Coaching License, a prerequisite to manage a J. League club, and study coaching skills abroad. Kisho Yano (矢野 貴章, Yano Kishō?, born 5 April 1984 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka) is a Japanese footballer who plays as a striker for Albirex Niigata.
Yano was chosen as one of the Designated Players for Development by J. League and JFA in 2002 when he was a student of Hamana High School. Because of this status, Yano was able to register as a Júbilo Iwata player while he was still eligible to play for his high school club. However he did not play any official match for Iwata.
After graduating from his high school, he joined J. League side Kashiwa Reysol. In 2006, He was transferred to Niigata where he quickly established himself as a first-choice forward.

Koki Mizuno (水野 晃樹, Mizuno Kōki?, born 6 September 1985 in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka) is a Japanese footballer, who currently plays as a midfielder for Kashiwa Reysol.

Leandro Rinaudo (born 9 May 1983) is an Italian footballer who plays for Serie A club Novara.
A youth product of Palermo, he was loaned to Serie C1 club Varese in the first year of Zamparini's era. The loan was pre-matured in January 2003. However he failed to enter the first team as Zamparini bought a couple of players from his former club A.C. Venezia.

In the 2006–07 Serie A season, near the end of summer transfer window, he left for fellow Serie A club Siena along with Paul Codrea. Rinaudo partnered with Daniele Portanova as centre back and the team improved in goal conceded which made Rinaudo earn a third return to Palermo. He made 21 starts in Serie A that season, which he mainly competed with Biava for the central back position to partner with Barzagli, and Zaccardo usually as right back and Mattia Cassani sometimes as right winger or left back.

Makoto Hasebe
Makoto Hasebe (長谷部 誠, Hasebe Makoto?, born 18 January 1984 in Fujieda, Shizuoka, Japan) is a Japanese football player. He is a right-footed midfielder who plays for VfL Wolfsburg and is the captain of the Japan national football team.
After graduating from Fujieda Higashi High School in 2002, he joined Urawa Red Diamonds. He became a regular of their first team in the 2003 season. In 2004, he was honoured with the J. Born in Montegrotto Terme, Province of Padua, Rigoni started his career at hometown club Padova. Ujkani was born in Resnik, a village which is now part of the municipality of Vučitrn/Vushtrri, in central Kosovo. His family then moved to Belgium six years after his birth.

After graduating Takigawa Daini High School in 2004, Okazaki signed full professional terms with S-Pulse the following year. He was also member of the Japanese football team for the 2008 Summer Olympics finals.
Okazaki made his senior national team debut on 9 October 2008, in a friendly match against the UAE. He scored his first hat-trick against Hong Kong on 8 October 2009 and scored another hat-trick against Togo just 6 days later on 14 October 2009. He was named The World's Top Goal Scorer 2009 by the IFFHS for his 15 goals with the national team. On 24 June 2010, Okazaki scored the final goal against Denmark in a 3–1 win as Japan qualified for the second round of the World Cup. On 17 January 2011, he scored his third career hat trick during a 5–0 drubbing of Saudi Arabia at the 2011 Asian Cup.
On 30 January 2011, Okazaki moved to German Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart. He signed until 2014. On 17 February 2011 clearance to play for the club was granted for Okazaki by FIFA. Shinji Ono
Shinji Ono (小野 伸二, Ono Shinji?, born on 27 September 1979) is a Japanese football player, who plays as a midfielder for Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan.
Known as Tensai, Japanese for "Genius", from his youth days[citation needed], Ono is one of the biggest stars in Asian football, known for his vision, technique and superb passing. Although his primary position is attacking midfielder, he can play anywhere in the midfield, including defensive midfield and either wing.
Ono grew up in the Japanese soccer hotbed[citation needed] of Shizuoka Prefecture and began his professional career with Urawa Red Diamonds of the J. League in 1998. The same year, he became the youngest member of Japan's 1998 FIFA World Cup team at age 18 and made one appearance as a substitute.
He caught the attention of foreign clubs with his performance at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship in Nigeria, where he captained the Japanese Under-20 side that reached the final. But later that year, he suffered a severe knee injury in a qualification match for the 2000 Olympics with Japan's Under-23 side, forcing him to miss the rest of the season and olympic qualifying. He did not regain full fitness in time for the Olympics in Sydney and Urawa was relegated to Division 2 in his absence. But rather than move to another J-League club or abroad, Ono stayed with Urawa for the 2000 season and helped the club return to top flight.

Shunsuke Nakamura (中村 俊輔, Nakamura Shunsuke?, born 24 June 1978 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese footballer who currently plays for Yokohama F. Marinos in J. League Division 1. Pesce started his career off with small Italian club Latina in 1999. He remained at the club until 2005, making a nearly 150 appearances for the club and scoring 5 goals.

Lee was born to third generation Zainichi Korean parents in Tanashi (present: Nishitokyo), Tokyo. His Korean name is Lee Chung-Sung (Korean: 이충성, Hanja: 李 忠成) and also had used pass name Tadanari Ōyama (大山 忠成, Ōyama Tadanari?). His father was also a footballer, who played for Yokohama Tristar FC in the Japan Soccer League.
Lee started playing football at Komine FC and later moved to Yokogawa Musashino F.C.. In 2001 he joined FC Tokyo youth team and took second places at All Japan Club Youth Soccer tournament, Prince Takamado Cup and J. League Youth tournament. He briefly joined training squads for the South Korea U-19 and U-20 teams but not played at official games. He experienced severe discrimination from Korean teammates referring to him as a “half-Jap” with strong racial undertones.
He was promoted to FC Tokyo in 2004 and moved to Kashiwa Reysol in 2005 and later joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2009.

Takashi Usami (宇佐美 貴史, Usami Takashi?, born 6 May 1992) is a Japanese footballer who plays for Bayern Munich on loan from Gamba Osaka. He plays as an attacking midfielder, second striker or winger.
Usami made club history by making his professional debut for Gamba Osaka at the age of 17 years and 14 days and scoring a goal in the same match to become the youngest player to achieve both feats for the club, breaking the records previously set by Junichi Inamoto. Usami made his professional debut and goal on 20 May 2009 against FC Seoul in the Champions League. In 2010, he became a more regular face in the Gamba Osaka team and he was named as Best Young Player by the J. League at the annual awards ceremony on December 6.

Morimoto holds the record for the youngest Japanese player to make his professional debut and the youngest scorer in J. League history. He has been compared to a young Ronaldo for the combination of his size, strength and speed.

Takeshi Okada (岡田 武史, Okada Takeshi?, born 25 August 1956 in Osaka, Japan) is a former football player that was head coach of the Japanese national football team between 2007 and 2010. He is the current manager of Hangzhou Nabel Greentown F.C. in the Chinese Super League.
Okada played 24 games and scored one goal for the Japan national football team between 1980 and 1985.
He coached Japan at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, later Consadole Sapporo (1999–2001) and Yokohama F Marinos (2003–2006).
Okada was named Japan's head coach in December 2007 to replace Ivica Osim, who suffered a stroke. He was succeeded in 2010 by Alberto Zaccheroni.
Okada gained worldwide attention for leading Japan to ninth place finish in the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was commended for turning his Japanese team of young, inexperienced unknowns into a slick passing, talented squad of youngsters.

Yasuharu Sorimachi
Yasuharu Sorimachi (反町 康治, Yasuharu Sorimachi?, born March 8, 1964 in Saitama, Saitama, Japan) is a football manager and former footballer who currently manages Japanese club Matsumoto Yamaga.
A midfielder, He played for Japan national football team 4 times between 1990 and 1991. At club level, he scored 23 goals from 188 appearances in the domestic leagues. He subsequently became a manager and has worked for Albirex Niigata, Shonan Bellmare and Japan national under-23 football team.
Sorimachi was educated at and played for Shimizu Higashi High School and Keio University. At the high school, he won the national high school championship with his teammates Shigeo Sawairi and Tatsuya Mochizuki.

Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi
Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi (川口 能活, Kawaguchi Yoshikatsu?, born August 15, 1975), sometimes referred to as Yoshi Kawaguchi, is a Japanese footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He is a former captain of the Japan national team.
Born in Fuji, Shizuoka Prefecture, Kawaguchi studied at Shimizu Commercial High School and was a member of the football team there. After finishing high school, he joined the professional football team Yokohama Marinos (now known as Yokohama F. Marinos). He was called up to the Japanese national team and played in the Atlanta Olympic games. He kept a clean sheet against Brazil in the first game. He played in Japan's first ever World Cup game in 1998 in a 1-0 defeat to Argentina.
Following impressive performances for both club and country, he moved to English club Portsmouth, signing for a club record £1.8m. However, he struggled to adapt to life in the English Football League, and struggled with the physical side of the First Division, notably in a 3-1 away defeat to Grimsby Town. Kawaguchi lost his place to veteran Dave Beasant after being held responsible for Portsmouth's 4-1 home defeat to underdogs Leyton Orient in the FA Cup. Despite his poor performances for Pompey he remained something of a cult hero with the fans, on account of his cheerful demeanour, and his insistence that he would work hard to regain his place. After a season of playing reserve team football, he made his final appearance for Portsmouth in the final game of the 2002/3 Football League First Division championship winning season, coming on at half time to a standing ovation in the 5-0 win against Bradford City. Despite this brief reappearance, he realised that his future lay elsewhere, and moved on to Nordsjælland of the Danish league. Prior to the 2005 Japanese football season, Kawaguchi returned to his home country when he signed with then-perennial title-contenders Júbilo Iwata.

Yuji Nakazawa
Yuji Nakazawa (中澤 佑二, Nakazawa Yūji?, born February 25, 1978 in Yoshikawa, Saitama, Japan) is a Japanese football player who currently plays for J. League side Yokohama F. Marinos. He is a centre back. He is captain of both Yokohama F. Marinos and the Japan national football team. His nickname is "Bomber" because of his distinctive hairstyle. Nakazawa is one of only four Japanese players to reach 100 caps for his country.
Nakazawa started playing football for his home country. He played for Yoshikawa Higashi Junior High School and Misato Technology High School, but attracted no scouts' eyes. Determined to be a pro, he left for Brazil to improve his football skills and trained with América Mineiro. During his time there, he won the Campeonato Mineiro in the junior category and played a key role in coach Ricardo Drubscky's squad.
After a year, he returned to Japan and joined Verdy Kawasaki in 1998 as a trainee, which meant he received no compensation. He impressed the club enough to win a full professional contract the following year.

Yuki Abe
Yuki Abe (阿部 勇樹, Abe Yūki?, born 6 September 1981) is a Japanese footballer who plays for the Japanese national team and Urawa Red Diamonds as a midfielder.
Born in Ichikawa, Chiba, Abe, then a member of the JEF United Ichihara (now JEF United Ichihara Chiba) youth side, made his debut with the senior club at the age of 16 years and 333 days on 5 August 1998, at the time a record for the youngest Japanese professional player and J-League. Nagatomo's grandfather Yoshida Tatsuo and Tatsuo's brother Minoru were famed professional bicycle racers who competed in Keirin. Nagatomo started playing football in kindergarten. He failed to join the Ehime F.C. junior youth team and continued to play in Saijo Kita Junior High School and later moved to Fukuoka and joined Higashi Fukuoka High School. His team played at the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament. He attended Meiji University. In 2006, at the university football club he was moved to full-back and started to distinguish himself. In 2007, Nagatomo was chosen as one of the Designated Players for Development by J. League and JFA. With this status, he was able to register as a J. League club player while he was still eligible to play for his university. He played one J. League Cup game for F.C. Tokyo that season. He also played for Japan's U-22 team in the Olympic qualfiers.

Yūichi Komano
Yūichi Komano (駒野 友一, Komano Yūichi?, born July 25, 1981 in Kainan, Wakayama) is a Japanese football player. He plays for J. League division 1 side Júbilo Iwata. He is right-footed and mainly plays right full back for the club but he is often employed in the left for Japan national football team.
Komano played for his local junior high school team. He was invited for trials from several clubs including Gamba Osaka, JEF United Ichihara, Sanfrecce Hiroshima and local high school powerhouse Hatsushiba Hashimoto. He decided to join Sanfrecce Hiroshima and entered Yoshida High School in Hiroshima.
He has been the first-choice right back for the club since 2001 when he is available. He suffered from several serious injuries and illnesses. He damaged the cruciate ligaments of his left knee in the match against Yokohama FC on August 16, 2003. While he was in hospital, he suffered from a venous thrombosis. Because of these, he was sidelined until April 2004. He broke his left collar bone in an Olympic game against Ghana in August 2004. In September of the same year, he also suffered from a uveitis problem that might have caused blindness.

Takayuki Morimoto (森本 貴幸, Morimoto Takayuki?, born 7 May 1988 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa) is a Japanese footballer who plays for Novara in the Serie A, in a co-ownership bid with Catania.
Morimoto holds the record for the youngest Japanese player to make his professional debut and the youngest scorer in J. League history. He has been compared to a young Ronaldo for the combination of his size, strength and speed.[1]

Morimoto began his youth career with Tsudayama FC in 1995, before transferring to Verdy Junior in 1998. After three year, Morimoto moved to Verdy Junior Youth in 2001, and remained until 2004, when he was sold to Tokyo Verdy 1969.
Tokyo Verdy 1969[link]
On 13 March 2004, Morimoto made his J. League debut for Tokyo Verdy 1969 against Júbilo Iwata at the age of 15 years, 10 months and 6 days, a league record for youngest player to debut. He scored his first goal against JEF United Ichihara on May 5 of the same year, two days before his 16th birthday, another league record for youngest goal scorer.[2] He captured the J. League Rookie of the Year Award for the 2004 season.[3] On July 23, 2006, Tokyo Verdy 1969 announced a one-year loan deal sending Morimoto to Calcio Catania of the Serie A.[4]

Morimoto made his Serie A debut on January 28, 2007 during an away game against Atalanta B.C..[5] He entered the game at the 83rd minute and scored the equalising goal, his first in a Serie A match, just five minutes later.[6] On March 13, 2007, it was confirmed by Catania that Morimoto had ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and would be out for at least six months, ruling him out for the rest of the 2006–07 season. Despite the serious injury, Catania recognised his true potential and he completed a permanent transfer deal with Catania on June 2007.
On December 14, 2008, Morimoto signed a contract extension with Catania, a three-year deal lasting to 2011.[7]
Morimoto had a breakthrough season for Catania during the 2008–09 season, as he scored 10 goals in 25 league and cup games, while also being credited with several assists.v Brazilian and A.C. Milan star Alexandre Pato told Corriere Dello Sport that he believes Morimoto is the best young player in Serie A and has compared him to Brazilian legend Ronaldo.[8]
Despite all the talent and all the potential, the striker has never really lived up to all the expectations following an improvement in each of his first three seasons in Sicily. During the 2009-10 Serie A season, Morimoto scored an additional 5 goals, and has 1 goal to his credit thus far during the 2010-11 campaign. His performances have often been over-shadowed by the likes of Giuseppe Mascara, Maxi Lopez, Jorge Andres Martinez, and Gionatha Spinesi throughout his time in Sicily. The newly signed Argentine International, Gonzalo Bergessio, is also likely to limit chances for the young Japanese striker.
Novara Calcio[link]
On 11 July 2011, Catania confirmed to have sold Morimoto to newly-promoted Serie A club Novara in a co-ownership bid.[9]. At the end of the season, Novara is relegated in Serie B, but Morimoto proves to be the best Novara player of the season, being the most prolific forward of the team scoring 4 goals.

Morimoto has represented Japan at the U-20 level at both the 2004 AFC Youth Championship and the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. In 2008, he was a member of the Japanese national football team for the Beijing Olympics,[10] where the team was eliminated in the preliminary round, losing all three matches and only managing to score one goal.
On 10 October 2009, he made his debut for the senior national team against Scotland coming on as a substitute for Ryoichi Maeda in a 2–0 win. On 14 October 2009, he made his first start and scored his first goal against Togo in a 5–0 win.

Takayuki Kubota (窪田 孝行, Kubota Takayuki?, born September 20, 1934) is a Japanese master of karate. He founded the Gosoku-ryu style of karate, and is the founder and president of the International Karate Association. Kubota holds the title of Sōke for his development of the Gosoku-ryū style of karate. He is also the inventor and patent-holder of the Kubotan self-defense key chain.[1]
Kubota was a self-defense instructor for the Tokyo Police department in the 1950s, where he was noted for his expertise in practical karate. He has devoted his life to learning, creating, and teaching the application of self-defense techniques to military, law enforcement, and civilian personnel. He has earned black belt degrees in karate, judo, aikido, kendo, and iaido.[2][3]

Early life[link]
Kubota was born on September 20, 1934, in Kumamoto, Japan, into the family of Denjiro (father) and Semo (mother) Kubota. He had four brothers, of which one became a kendo master, one a jujitsu master, and one the Japanese Olympic volleyball coach. In 1939, at the age of four, Kubota began studying martial arts under the direction of his father, who was a master of jujitsu and jukendo. The training included bamboo yadi, judo, keibo-jutsu (baton), and makiwara practice.
During World War II, Kubota learned karate under the guidance of two Okinawans—Terada and Tokunaga—stationed in his village. They were teaching local people with basics in the martial art of te; there was no name "karate" at that time in Okinawa.
At the age of 13, Kubota went to Tokyo to seek his fortune—against his father's will. Upon arrival, he discovered that there was no work and no place to stay. While in a queue for food, however, Kubota helped the police to capture some criminals using his skill in in taiho jutsu (arresting technique). One of the officers, Detective Karino, gave Kubota a place to stay and helped him finish his education. Karino brought him to the dojo (training hall) of Chinese master Cai[4] and, in return, he taught Karino the art of taiho jutsu. Until he earned enough money for classes, Kubota watched techniques at one of the top karate schools from outside at night. When he earned enough money, he continued his formal training inside a dojo.
Instructing career[link]
In 1947, at age of 14, he was noticed by Tokyo Police and was soon teaching hand-to-hand and baton combat to officers of Kamata Police Department; he did this for 10 years. He tested his martial arts skills by working as an agent in dangerous districts of Tokyo and being used as a one-man riot control by police. It was in this era that Gosoku-ryu techniques were refined.[4] He has complemented his martial arts training with studies in meditation, history, and other non-combative aspects of the arts.
Kubota opened his first karate dojo at the age of 17.[citation needed] From 1950–1959, he was an instructor for the US Army, Air Force, and Marines in kendo, karate, judo, and giyokute-jitsu.[5] Between 1960 and 1963, he taught pro-wrestling techniques at Haneda dojo.[citation needed]
As he became more well known, the US military and government personnel at the American military bases stationed there invited him to teach self defense and show demonstrations. From 1958 to 1960, he taught the US Military Police and other personnel at Camp Zama, Kanagawa, Japan. In addition, from 1959 to 1964, he taught self-defense to the US Army personnel at Kishine Barracks in Yokohama. At the same, during 1961 to 1963, he was teaching the American personnel at Grand Heights Air Force Base in Tokyo and US Air Force Police at Fuchu Air Force Base. He also worked as a bodyguard to the US Ambassador to Japan. Through 1964, Kubota taught self-defense to other government personnel, including the CIA agents at the US military bases throughout Japan.[4][6]
On August 2, 1964, Kubota was invited by Ed Parker to give a demonstration at Parker's First Annual International Karate Tournament in Long Beach, California. In late 1964, he permanently relocated to America. Kubota taught self-defense at the Los Angeles Police Department Academy for several years.[2] Kubota developed his own style of karate, naming it Gosoku-ryu ("hard-fast style"), and he consequently holds the title Sōke, meaning founder or creator.
In 1990, Kubota was inducted into the Black Belt magazine's Hall of Fame as 'Weapons Instructor of the Year.'[7]
Inventions[link]
The five and a half inch plastic Kubotan key chain is Kubota's most important invention. It was designed for female Los Angeles Police Department officers. Kubota also developed the Kubotai, another self-defense weapon, in 1991. The Kubotai is used to employ wrist locks and immobilize the opponent.[8]

Takayuki Miyauchi (宮内 タカユキ, Miyauchi Takayuki?, February 4, 1955 —), born Kayuki Uchita Miyabi, is a Japanese vocalist best known for his work on theme songs for tokusatsu and anime. A resident of Ibaraki Prefecture, he began his career as founding member and lead vocalist of the band "WHY" in 1981 before making his solo debut in 1984, singing the opening theme for the "Super Sentai" tokusatsu television series Choudenshi Bioman.
In the 1980s and 1990s, he would soon go on to be well known for a wide selection of tokusatsu music; notably a great number of insert themes contributed to Super Sentai series such as the opening for Choudenshi Bioman, as well as the opening and closing themes for Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Kamen Rider Black RX and opening themes for the Metal Hero Series Tokyuu Shirei Solbrain, and Tokusou Exceedraft. He has also contributed vocals for insert themes to the animated television series Kinnikuman, Galaxy Angel Z and The King of Braves GaoGaiGar.
In 2003, a battle with pancreatic cancer temporarily brought his career to a halt; he recovered and staged a comeback beginning with his appearance at the Japan Anime Fest in 2004. Aside from ongoing theme song recording, he is currently involved closely with a local Ibaraki band called "Logan."
He has a close friendship with fellow Metal Hero theme song vocalist Akira Kushida.

Takayuki Yamada (山田孝之, Yamada Takayuki?, born October 20, 1983) is a Japanese actor and singer. He has two elder sisters and one son. At age 15, he was discovered by talent agency Stardust and made his debut in his acting career in the TV drama Psychometrer Eiji 2 in 1999.
One of his first big roles was starring as Matsumoto Sakutaro in Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu in the 2004 TBS series. In 2005, he made his name known with the movie Densha Otoko. His recent projects include Taiyou no Uta and the Japanese movie The Letter (Tegami) with co-star Erika Sawajiri.
