Rüde (Danish: Ryde) is a village and a former municipality in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Since 1 March 2013, it is part of the municipality Mittelangeln.

Republican State Committee of Delaware

The Republican State Committee of Delaware is the affiliate of the United States Republican Party (GOP) in Delaware. Developed during the Civil War era, the GOP of Delaware continues to remain one of the two biggest parties in Delaware. Famous Americans such as Thomas Coleman Dupont, John Williams, and J. Caleb Boggs all made their claim of fame serving the Republican Party in various state and federal positions. As of October 2015, its headquarters are in the College Square Shopping Center in Newark, Delaware. As a party representing the three counties of Delaware, the party also has offices in other parts of the state as well. These regional offices are located in Dover, and Georgetown.

History of the party

Beginning

The Republican State Committee of Delaware got its start in the mid-1800s when the American Party(a group dedicated to prohibition of alcohol), People's Party, and former Whigs reformed under the Union Party. This party was dedicated to preserve the Union in the time of Lincoln's election. While Delaware did not secede from the Union, Delaware Democrats and other supporters often opposed Lincoln's policies. The Republican party struggled to gain control in the state from 1865 to 1898 with the Democratic Party maintaining control of both the federal and state level of government. However, changes in industry and the arrival of immigrants in key locations would soon spell the rise of the Republican party in Delaware.

Den (Ukrainian: День, The Day) is a Kiev-based, centrist daily broadsheet newspaper.

History and profile

Den was founded in 1996. The paper is linked to former prime minister Yevhen Marchuk, his wife Larysa Ivshyna is the paper's editor-in-chief. Den has been supporting NATO and ties with the West.

The paper is also notable by its annual photography contest, being the main photo event in Ukraine.

Den (room)

A den is a small room in a house where people can pursue activities in private.

In the United States, the type of rooms described by the term den varies considerably by region. It is used to describe many different kinds of bonus rooms, including studies, family rooms, home offices, libraries, home cinemas, or even spare bedrooms. In some places, particularly in parts of the British Isles, a small den may be known as a snug.

While living rooms tend to be used for entertaining company on formal occasions, dens, like other family rooms, tend toward the more informal. In houses that do not have dedicated family rooms or recreation rooms, a den may fill that niche. Dens can also be private areas primarily used by adult members of the household, possibly restricting access to the room by their children. Dens with home theater systems and large screen televisions may be referred to as media rooms instead. Most den floors are made out of wood, carpet, or floor tiling.

Dens can serve the same purpose as cabinets in the past, becoming a modern man cave—a place for men to gather and entertain. In such cases, the design and decor may be distinctively masculine.

Den (film)

Den (marketed as DeN) is a 2001 independent drama horror film written and directed by Greg Arce. The film was released on 15 June 2001 in Culver City, California. In 2009 Arce announced that he was looking into potential legal actions against the producers of the 2004 film Saw, as Arce alleges that Saw has at least similarities to his movie. Film critics and bloggers have noticed the similarities as well.

Den was partly filmed in Australia and was briefly mentioned in Peter Shelley's Australian Horror Films, 1973-2010.

Pillow Pal

Pillow Pals were a line of plush toys made by Ty, Inc. during the 1990s. The toys were given their name because they were soft like a pillow, and were made with children in mind. Though many of them resembled certain Beanie Babies, those that did not share names with their Beanie Baby counterparts. Such Pillow Pals saw a decline in popularity in the late 1990s with the introduction of Beanie Buddies, which were also larger versions of various Beanie Babies. In January 1999, all Pillow Pals were redesigned, and their colors were changed. This line did not sell well, and was discontinued by Ty around the end of the year. Today, PillowPals LLC takes children's drawings and replicates them into 3D pillows.

At the time of the final retirement, Ty donated its remaining stock of pillow pals to the Ronald McDonald House to be distributed to sick children.
