This day last year we set out on a journey that took us from the busyness of our city lives in Bombay to a small Himalayan Village called Bir that lives paragliding. This journey is what we call Glide. The idea of Glide was to redefine conventions of filmmaking and share stories of adventure and gliding from this beautiful village and do this all by ourselves. This also meant no producers, no brands, just the help of friends and family. We backed ourselves up and Glide saw through its year of shoot including the first ever Paragliding World Cup held in Bir (Oct 2015) with the help of friends (who came visiting from all over the country and world) and those we made in Bir. We understood the sport and met the best in sport from Bir, from Himachal, from India and from all over the world.
This video celebrates Glide - an idea that could manifest with the help of a lot of people including pilots who help us understand the sport, the people of Bir for their love and care and knowingly or unknowingly many others. We finished our 9 month long shoot in and around Bir and Himachal with more than we had ever set out with, and now we intend to continue gliding forth with various stories of paragliding and adventure from in and around the country and all over the world.

Billing itself as "Memphis' Oldest Café," The Arcade Restaurant has been at the corner of Memphis' South Main Street and G.E. Patterson Boulevard since 1919. Just steps away from the train station, the restaurant has seen its surroundings rise, fall, and rise again with the fortunes of the city. Once the bustling heart of Memphis' downtown, the neighborhood around the Arcade fell into decline in the 1970s and '80s. By the time Jim Jarmusch arrived to shoot his 1989 film Mystery Train, hard times had overtaken what had become an especially seedy part of town.
But as Sherman Willmott—who worked as a production assistant on the film—tells us in this installment of Pop Pilgrims, the Arcade remained a "beacon" through it all, serving up reliably delicious food 24 hours a day in a classic diner setting. Besides, the surrounding seediness suited the needs of Jarmusch's film. With overlapping stories that converge at the dilapidated Arcade Hotel—torn down shortly after Mystery Train shot there—it's a film partly about how the legends of the city's past intersect with the everyday present, and how newcomers sometimes have trouble discerning the mundane from the mythic.
In a neat twist, Jarmusch's decision to shoot in Memphis' less-reputable corners had an unexpected impact on the city's onscreen life. A plaque commemorating "Modern Filmmaking In Memphis" now stands outside the restaurant, hailing Mystery Train, the first major feature to shoot primarily in the city since King Vidor's Hallelujah! in 1928, as the beginning of a revival for filmmaking in Memphis. Jarmusch's movie helped inspire other filmmakers to turn to Memphis, and the years that followed saw everything from Great Balls Of Fire! to The Firm to My Blueberry Nights shooting in the city. Each of those films, and others, further followed Jarmusch's example by using the Arcade as a location. 21 Grams even has a sandwich named after it, which we found easier to stomach than the film that inspired it.
Which brings us to the big question: How's the food? Pretty tasty, we can report. Owners Harry and Karan Zepatos, the third generation of the Zepatos family to run the restaurant, serve up classic Greek diner fare that continues to attract locals and tourists alike. Patrons can even sit in the booth once favored by another Arcade regular, Elvis Presley. Sure, it looks like every other booth at the restaurant, but that's an element of its charm: The Arcade remains reassuringly unchanged no matter what goes on outside its doors, or who passes through them.

Billing (filmmaking)
Billing is a performing arts term used in referring to the order and other aspects of how credits are presented for plays, films, television, or other creative works. Information given in billing usually consists of the companies, actors, directors, producers, and other crew members. This article examines billing for theatrical films.
Films
From the beginning of motion pictures in the 1900s to the early 1920s, the moguls that owned or managed big film studios did not want to bill the actors appearing in their films because they did not want to recreate the star system that was prevalent on Broadway at that time. They also feared that, once actors were billed on film, they would be more popular and would seek large salaries. Actors themselves did not want to reveal their film careers to their stage counterparts via billing on film, because at that time working in the movies was unacceptable to stage actors. As late as the 1910s, stars as famous as Mary Pickford and Charlie Chaplin were not known by name to moviegoers. According to Mary Pickford's biography Doug and Mary, she was referred to by the public as "the Biograph girl" in all of her films before 1905.

Mystery Train
"Mystery Train" is a song recorded by American blues musician Junior Parker in 1953. Considered a blues standard, Parker, billed as "Little Junior's Blue Flames", recorded the song for producer/Sun Records owner Sam Phillips and it was released on the Sun label. The song was written by Junior Parker (aka Herman Parker), with a credit later given to Phillips.
One commentator noted "One of the mysteries about 'Mystery Train' was where the title came from; it was mentioned nowhere in the song". The song uses lyrics similar to those found in the traditional American folk music group Carter Family's "Worried Man Blues", itself based on an old Celtic ballad, and their biggest selling record of 1930:
Parker's lyrics include:
"Mystery Train" was the follow-up single to Junior Parker's 1953 number five Billboard R&B chart release "Feelin' Good" (Sun 187). Accompanying Parker (vocal) is his backup band the "Blue Flames", whose members at the time are believed to have included: Floyd Murphy (guitar), William Johnson (piano), Kenneth Banks (bass), John Bowers (drums), and Raymond Hill (tenor sax).

Billing itself as "Memphis' Oldest Café," The Arcade Restaurant has been at the corner of Memphis' South Main Street and G.E. Patterson Boulevard since 1919. Ju...
Billing itself as "Memphis' Oldest Café," The Arcade Restaurant has been at the corner of Memphis' South Main Street and G.E. Patterson Boulevard since 1919. Just steps away from the train station, the restaurant has seen its surroundings rise, fall, and rise again with the fortunes of the city. Once the bustling heart of Memphis' downtown, the neighborhood around the Arcade fell into decline in the 1970s and '80s. By the time Jim Jarmusch arrived to shoot his 1989 film Mystery Train, hard times had overtaken what had become an especially seedy part of town.
But as Sherman Willmott—who worked as a production assistant on the film—tells us in this installment of Pop Pilgrims, the Arcade remained a "beacon" through it all, serving up reliably delicious food 24 hours a day in a classic diner setting. Besides, the surrounding seediness suited the needs of Jarmusch's film. With overlapping stories that converge at the dilapidated Arcade Hotel—torn down shortly after Mystery Train shot there—it's a film partly about how the legends of the city's past intersect with the everyday present, and how newcomers sometimes have trouble discerning the mundane from the mythic.
In a neat twist, Jarmusch's decision to shoot in Memphis' less-reputable corners had an unexpected impact on the city's onscreen life. A plaque commemorating "Modern Filmmaking In Memphis" now stands outside the restaurant, hailing Mystery Train, the first major feature to shoot primarily in the city since King Vidor's Hallelujah! in 1928, as the beginning of a revival for filmmaking in Memphis. Jarmusch's movie helped inspire other filmmakers to turn to Memphis, and the years that followed saw everything from Great Balls Of Fire! to The Firm to My Blueberry Nights shooting in the city. Each of those films, and others, further followed Jarmusch's example by using the Arcade as a location. 21 Grams even has a sandwich named after it, which we found easier to stomach than the film that inspired it.
Which brings us to the big question: How's the food? Pretty tasty, we can report. Owners Harry and Karan Zepatos, the third generation of the Zepatos family to run the restaurant, serve up classic Greek diner fare that continues to attract locals and tourists alike. Patrons can even sit in the booth once favored by another Arcade regular, Elvis Presley. Sure, it looks like every other booth at the restaurant, but that's an element of its charm: The Arcade remains reassuringly unchanged no matter what goes on outside its doors, or who passes through them.

The Elm Guest House child abuse scandal arose from claims of sexual abuse and the grooming of children by British politicians, at parties for men at the former Elm Guest House near Barnes Common in South West London during the late 1970s and 1980s.
An investigation, Operation Fairbank, which was led by the Metropolitan Police Service, started in late 2012. The investigation was a "scoping exercise" aimed at a "preliminary assessment of the evidence rather than a formal inquiry". Existence of the operation was confirmed on 12 December 2012, after operating in secret for several weeks. A full criminal investigation, Operation Fernbridge, was launched in February 2013 as a result of allegations arising from Operation Fairbank.
