Ezequiel Manuel Carrera (born June 11, 1987 in Guiria, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball center fielder for the Cleveland Indians. He was the starting outfielder for the Double-A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. He was signed with the New York Mets as a non-drafted free agent on April 4, 2005. He was named the "best defensive outfielder" in the Florida State League in 2008 by Baseball America.^{[citation needed]}

Carrera spent the 2005 season in the Venezuelan Summer League and batted .227 with eight RBIs and 19 runs scored in 45 games.

In 2006 he hit .301 with one homer, 19 RBIs, 41 runs scored and 22 stolen bases in 57 games in the Venezuelan Summer League. He went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base on June 2. Carrera stole three bases on June 13.

He started and spent most of the 2007 season with the Rookie-League Gulf Coast League Mets of the Gulf Coast League but also played with the Short-Season Brooklyn Cyclones. He hit .329 between the two clubs with 82 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, one home runs, 32 RBIs and 22 stolen bases.

Endy de Jesus Chávez ( /ˈtʃɑːvɛz/; born February 7, 1978) is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder with the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball.

Chávez bats and throws left-handed and is considered to have good fielding skills, speed, and the ability to hit to all parts of the field. He is well known for an outstanding catch in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS.

Chávez made his Minor League Baseball debut in 1996 with the Mets, a rookie-level affiliate of the New York Mets. In his first season with the team, he hit .354 in 48 games. He played the next four years in the Mets organization with the Kingsport Mets, Gulf Coast Mets, Capital City Bombers, and St. Lucie Mets. On March 30, 2001, Chávez was traded from the Mets to the Kansas City Royals organization. In 2001, Chávez played with Wichita Wranglers and the Omaha Royals before making his MLB debut with the Royals.

In 2002, Chávez joined the Montreal Expos organization, playing for the Ottawa Lynx. With Ottawa, Chávez was an International League all-star in 2002. Chávez finished out the 2004 season with the Expos affiliate Edmonton Trappers. In 2005, Chávez moved to the New Orleans Zephyrs, the triple-A affiliate of the relocated Montreal Expos, now known as the Washington Nationals.

Joakim Agustín Soria Ramos (born May 18, 1984) is a Mexican right-handed baseball relief pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball. He has been nicknamed The Mexicutioner, although in February 2011, he stated that he no longer wanted to be associated with that nickname due to violence in his home country.

Soria has played for his country's Diablos Rojos del México (in the Mexican Baseball League) and Yaquis de Obregón in the Winter League. He played for the Class-A Fort Wayne Wizards as well. On December 9, 2006 in the Mexican Winter League, Soria threw a perfect game against the Naranjeros de Hermosillo.

In 2006, Soria was drafted at the age of 22 by the Kansas City Royals in the Rule 5 draft out of the San Diego Padres organization.

Soria debuted for the Royals in the 2007 season, and had a record of 2–3 with 17 saves and an ERA of 2.48.

Soria opened the 2008 season with 13 straight saves, breaking Al Hrabosky's club record of 11. He was scored on in just two of 35 outings. He went 16 1/3 innings before giving up a run and in one stretch retired 24 straight batters.
