Lord
Lord is an appellation for a person or deity who has authority, control, or power over others acting like a master, a chief, or a ruler. The appellation can also denote certain persons who hold a title of the peerage in the United Kingdom, or are entitled to courtesy titles. The collective "Lords" can refer to a group or body of peers.
Etymology
According to the Oxford Dictionary of English, the etymology of the word can be traced back to the Old English word hlāford which originated from hlāfweard meaning "loaf-ward" or "bread keeper", reflecting the Germanic tribal custom of a chieftain providing food for his followers. The appellation "lord" is primarily applied to men, while for women the appellation "lady" is used. However, this is no longer universal: the Lord of Mann, a title currently held by the Queen of the United Kingdom, and female Lord Mayors are examples of women who are styled Lord.
Historical usage
Feudalism
Under the feudal system, "lord" had a wide, loose and varied meaning. An overlord was a person from whom a landholding or a manor was held by a mesne lord or vassal under various forms of feudal land tenure. The modern term "landlord" is a vestigial survival of this function. A liege lord was a person to whom a vassal owed sworn allegiance. Neither of these terms were titular dignities, but rather factual appellations, which described the relationship between two or more persons within the highly stratified feudal social system. For example, a man might be Lord of the Manor to his own tenants but also a vassal of his own overlord, who in turn was a vassal of the King. Where a knight was a lord of the manor, he was referred to in contemporary documents as "John (Surname), knight, lord of (manor name)". A feudal baron was a true titular dignity, with the right to attend Parliament, but a feudal baron, Lord of the Manor of many manors, was a vassal of the King.

Reusable launch system
A reusable launch system (RLS, or reusable launch vehicle, RLV) is a launch system which is capable of launching a payload into space more than once. This contrasts with expendable launch systems, where each launch vehicle is launched once and then discarded.
No completely reusable orbital launch system is currently in use. The closest example was the partially reusable Space Shuttle. The orbiter, which included the Space Shuttle main engines, and the two solid rocket boosters, were reused after several months of refitting work for each launch. The external tank and launch vehicle load frame were discarded after each flight. However, several at least partially reusable systems are currently under development, such as the Falcon 9.
Orbital RLVs are thought to provide the possibility of low cost and highly reliable access to space. However, reusability implies weight penalties such as non-ablative reentry shielding and possibly a stronger structure to survive multiple uses, and given the lack of experience with these vehicles, the actual costs and reliability are yet to be seen.

Stupidity
Stupidity is a lack of intelligence, understanding, reason, wit or sense. Stupidity may be innate, assumed or reactive – a defence against grief or trauma.
Etymology
The root word stupid, which can serve as an adjective or noun, comes from the Latin verb stupere, for being numb or astonished, and is related to stupor. In Roman culture, the stupidus was the professional fall-guy in the theatrical mimes.
According to the online Merriam-Webster dictionary, the words "stupid" and "stupidity" entered the English language in 1541. Since then, stupidity has taken place along with "fool," "idiot," "dumb," "moron," and related concepts as a pejorative appellation for human misdeeds, whether purposeful or accidental, due to absence of mental capacity.
Definition
Stupidity is a quality or state of being stupid, or an act or idea that exhibits properties of being stupid. In a character study of "The Stupid Man" attributed to the Greek philosopher Theophrastus (c. 371 – c. 287 BC), stupidity was defined as "mental slowness in speech or action". The modern English word "stupid" has a broad range of application, from being slow of mind (indicating a lack of intelligence, care or reason), dullness of feeling or sensation (torpidity, senseless, insensitivity), or lacking interest or point (vexing, exasperating). It can either imply a congenital lack of capacity for reasoning, or a temporary state of daze or slow-mindedness.

തൈ പിറന്താൽ വഴി പിറക്കുമെന്നാണ് തമിഴ് പഴമൊഴി. തൈമാസം എല്ലാക്കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കും ശുഭമാണെന്നും മുടങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കു പോലും തൈമാസത്തിൽ നിവൃത്തിയുണ്ടാകുമെന്നുമാണ് വിശ്വാസം .
സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യനുള്ള സമർപ്പണമാണ് കാവടി. അഭീഷ്ടസിദ്ധിക്കാണ് പീലിക്കാവടികളും പൂക്കാവടികളും ഭസ്മക്കാവടികളുംനേരുന്നത് . തൈപ്പൂയദിനത്തിൽ കാവടി കെട്ടിയാടുന്നത് വിശേഷമാണ്. പല ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരാഴ്ചത്തെ തൈപ്പൂയാഘോഷമാണ് നടക്കുക. പഴനിയിൽ രഥോത്സവവും, മധുരൈയിൽ തെപ്പരഥോത്സവവും അന്ന് നടക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ കൂർക്കഞ്ചേരിയിലെ ശ്രീ മഹേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തൈപ്പൂയം വലിപ്പം കൊണ്ടും ആഘോഷംകൊണ്ടും പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്.
താരകാസുരൻ ദേവലോകത്തെ ജീവിതം ദുസ്സഹമാക്കിയപ്പോൾ മഹർഷിമാരും ദേവന്മാരും ശിവപാർവതിമാരെ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ചു. താരകാസുര നിഗ്രഹത്തിനായി പുത്രനായ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യനെയാണ് ഭഗവാൻ അയയ്ക്കുന്നത്. പന്ത്രണ്ട് ആയുധങ്ങളുമായായിരുന്നു സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന്റെ യാത്ര. അസുരനെ വധിച്ച് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യദേവൻ ദേവലോകത്ത് വീണ്ടും ഐശ്വര്യമെത്തിച്ചു. ആ നാളിന്റെ സ്മരണയ്ക്കാണ് തൈപ്പൂയാഘോഷം.
സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ

ശിവസുതനും ദേവസേനാപതിയുമാണ് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ. ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യം എന്നത് ശിവനെ കുറിക്കുന്നു. അതിനോട് ശ്രേയസിനെ കുറിക്കുന്ന -സു- എന്ന ഉപസർഗം ചേർത്ത് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യം എന്ന പേരുണ്ടായെന്ന് സ്കന്ദപുരാണംപറയുന്നു. വേദഗോബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ രക്ഷകർത്താവെന്നും ഈ പദത്തിനർഥമുണ്ട്. മുരുകൻ,കുമാരൻ, ഗുഹൻ, സ്കന്ദൻ, കാർത്തികേയൻ, ശരവണൻ, ഷണ്മുഖൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന് ഒട്ടേറെ പേരുകളുണ്ട്.
ശരവണക്കാട്ടിൽ ജനിച്ച കുട്ടിയാണ് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ. ജനനശേഷം മലർന്ന് കിടന്നു കരഞ്ഞ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യനെ അതുവഴിപോയ ആറ് ദിവ്യകൃത്തിമാർ കണ്ടു. അവർ കുഞ്ഞിനെ മുലയൂട്ടനായി തർക്കിച്ചു. അതുകണ്ട കുട്ടി ആറു കൃത്തിമാരെയും മാറിമാറി നോക്കി.അപ്പോൾ കുഞ്ഞിന് ആറ് തലകൾ ഉണ്ടായി; ആറു തലകൾ ഷൺമുഖനെന്ന പേരും നേടിക്കൊടുത്തു. കൃത്തികമാർ മുലകൊടുത്തു വളർത്തിയതിനാൽ ആ കുട്ടി കാർത്തികേയനായി.
ജനനത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഘട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരവാദിയായവരുടെ എല്ലാം മകനായി സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ മാറി; വിവിധ പേരുകളും സിദ്ധിച്ചു. സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ യോഗബലത്താൽ കുമാരൻ, വിശാഖൻ, ശാഖൻ, നൈഗമേയൻ എന്ന പേരുകളിൽ നാല് ശരീരം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. ഗുഹൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ ശിവന്റേയും , സ്കന്ദൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ പാർവതി യുടേയും, മഹാസേനൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ അഗ്നിയുടേയും, കുമാരൻ എന്നപേരിൽ ഗംഗയുടേയും ശരവണനെന്ന പേരിൽ ശരവണത്തിന്റേയും കാർത്തികേയനെന്ന പേരിൽ കൃത്തികമാരുടേയും പുത്രനായി സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ അറിയപ്പെട്ടു.
സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന് രണ്ടു ഭാര്യമാരുള്ളതായും വിശ്വാസമുണ്ട്. വള്ളി, ദേവയാനി എന്നിവരാണവർ. ഇതിൽ വള്ളിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് അവരുടെ സ്നേഹം മുരുകൻ പരീക്ഷിച്ചതായും പുരാണങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു. എന്നാൽ മുരുകൻ ബ്രഹ്മചര്യവ്രതം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നും ചില ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങൾ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മുരുകൻ ദേവസ്ത്രീകളെ ശല്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതായി പരാതി ലഭിച്ചതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാർവതി ദേവിഇപ്രകാരമൊരു പ്രതിജ്ഞ എടുപ്പിച്ചെന്നാണ് പുരാണകഥ

He has recorded more than 40,000 songs in a number of Indian languages as well as Malay, Russian, Arabic, Latin and English during a career spanning more than five decades.[1][2] He has performed in most Indian languages except Assamese, Konkani and Kashmiri.[3][4] He also composed a number of Malayalam film songs in the 1970s and 1980s. Yesudas is fondly called Gana Gandharvan (The Celestial Singer). He is also known as a Cultural Icon of Malayalam language - as well as of its ethnic group spread across the world - due largely to the fact that his songs have been profoundly ingrained into the minds of Malayalam speaking people for five decades. [5][6]
Yesudas has won the National Award for the Best Male Playback Singer seven times, 5 Filmfare Awards and the State Award for the Best Playback Singer 43 times, which consists of awards by the state governments of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and West Bengal.[1] He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1975 and the Padma Bhushan in 2002 by the Government of India for his contributions towards the arts.[7] In 2011 Yesudas was honoured with the CNN-IBN outstanding achievement award having recorded over 20,000 songs in a five-decade career.[8] In 2006, he sang 16 film songs in four South Indian languages on the same day at AVM Studio, Chennai.

He started his academic music training at R.L.V. Music Academy, Thrippunithura. Later he studied at Swathi Thirunal College of Music, Thiruvananthapuram under the tutelage of the carnatic music maestro late Sh. K.R.Kumaraswamy Iyer and the late Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer but could not complete his studies due to financial constraints. For a brief period, he was with Sri Vechur Harihara Subramania Iyer, after which he took advanced training from Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar. In 2011 he completed his 50 years as a playback singer. He completed the Ganabooshanam course at R.L.V. Music Academy, Thripunithura, Cochin and studied at Sree Swathithirunal Music Academy, Trivandrum under the tutelage of the carnatic music maestro late Sh. K.R.Kumaraswamy Iyer.

On Sunday, 10 January 2010, he celebrated his 70th birthday (Sapthathi) at Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple with 'Sangeetharchana' (classical devotional songs), along with 70 singers before goddess Mookambika. The Sangeetharchana included "Pancharatna Gayana" of Thyagaraja's poems. He also took part in the Vidyarambha function. All India Radio broadcast the special Sangeetharchana all over Kerala. Yesudas has won the National Award for the Best Male Playback Singer seven times, 5 Filmfare Awards and the State Award for the Best Playback Singer 43 times, which consists of awards by the state governments of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and West Bengal.[1] He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1975 and the Padma Bhushan in 2002 by the Government of India for his contributions towards the arts.[7] In 2011 Yesudas was honoured with the CNN-IBN outstanding achievement award having recorded over 20,000 songs in a five-decade career.[8] In 2006, he sang 16 film songs in four South Indian languages on the same day at AVM Studio, Chennai.

Yesudas has been visiting Kollur Mookambika temple, Kollur, Karnataka on his birthday to sing keerthans of Saraswati devi, the Goddess of knowledge, music and the arts. The music festival started on his 60th birthday in 2000. The nine-day music festival begins every January at Kollur Mookambika Temple. On Sunday, 10 January 2010, he celebrated his 70th birthday (Sapthathi) at Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple with 'Sangeetharchana' (classical devotional songs), along with 70 singers before goddess Mookambika. The Sangeetharchana included "Pancharatna Gayana" of Thyagaraja's poems. He also took part in the Vidyarambha function. All India Radio broadcast the special Sangeetharchana all over Kerala. Yesudas also has many songs devoted to Lord Ayyappa including the hit song "Harivarasanam".[20][21][22][23] In 2002, during Marad massacare, he visited the place along with the veteran poet Sugathakumari, and conducted classes against violence. Harivarasanam, a devotional song musical version composed by G. Devarajan, recited before closing the temple at Sabarimala was sung by Yesudas. Though there have been many different renditions of this song by many different renowned singers, Sabarimala officially uses Yesudas' voice for Harivarasanam every day.

In 1967, he sang hit songs in the composition of M.S.Baburaj for the film Udhyogastha directed by P.Venu. He sang in Tamil for Bommai first (music: S. Balachander), but the first released movie was Konjum Kumari (music: Veda). In 1965, he was invited by the Soviet Union government to perform at music concerts in various cities in the USSR and also sang a Russian song over Radio Kazakhstan.[10] The trio of Salil, Yesudas and Prem Nazir entered the Malayalam Cinema Industry of the 1970s.
In 1970 he was nominated to head the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy and was the youngest person ever to occupy the post.
