Cosby was an American situation comedy television series broadcast on CBS from September 16, 1996, to April 28, 2000, loosely based on the British sitcom One Foot in the Grave. The program starred Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad, who previously worked with Cosby in the 1984–1992 NBC sitcom The Cosby Show. Madeline Kahn portrayed their neighbor, Pauline, until her death in 1999.
Cosby portrayed grumpy Hilton Lucas, a New York City man forced into early (and unwanted) retirement from his job as an airline customer service agent. His wife Ruth was played by Phylicia Rashad. Initially, Telma Hopkins was cast as Ruth Lucas; however, she was recast after she didn't react well to Cosby's tendency to ad lib. The couple had one daughter, Erica Lucas, initially portrayed by Audra McDonald and later portrayed by T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh. Doug E. Doug played Griffin Vesey, a foster son the Lucas family took in when he was younger. Griffin occasionally tried to win Erica's affections, but they decided just to remain friends when in the fourth and final season, Darien Sills-Evans portrayed Darien Evans, Erica's fiancé/husband. Jurnee Smollett also joined the cast as 11-year-old Jurnee, whom Hilton adored.

Plot: Our story takes place in the fertile, San Joaquin Valley. Fueled by gin and sheer determination, Elizabeth James (Ms. Liz) operates her third generation dairy farm outside the region's domineering co-ops. To help keep the place afloat, she's employed five renegade ranch hands. These boys have put a pin in responsibility and opted to stretch out the party as long as possible. Unfortunately, women, booze, and fisticuffs can only lead to one outcome: trouble. With the dairy farm reporting its third straight deficit year, Ms Liz is attracting some unwanted attention. Delbert Furgeson, the owner of the area's largest co-op, is pushing to buy her out. This only incenses the prideful Ms Liz and starts a volatile feud between the two. Sharing the narrative are the ranch hands. Randel and Rooker Lee are brothers caught in the crossfire of their parents' separation. Leslie Williams and Jackie Remmington are aspiring musicians, trying not to get caught up in their own success. Wade Kitchanski is at ends with his father, striving to find his own path outside the family paint business. As the boys struggle to find direction, Ms Liz and Delbert Furgeson launch into a full-blown war. When the dust settles, we realize it's not simply a story about winners and losers or finding your way. It's about purpose: to find what you believe in, through change, through loss, even if it's the small things. Then hold on to it and fight for it, because in the end that's all you have.

This was back in winter of 1996 original title was "Don't test me" but had to be changed because a week after script was approved for production Cosby was being extorted by Autumn Jackson whom claimed she was his illegitimate daughter...oops!..This coincidence almost underminded my first script!...The showrunner hated me and didnt want to produce it because I pitched it directly to Bill Cosby whom loved it and pitched it personally to execs! This experience inspired my best selling book www.powerwasmymentor.com

Starring Bill Cosby, the sitcom was first broadcast on September 20, 1984 and ran for eight seasons on the NBC television network, until April 30, 1992. Bill Cosby had a great deal of creative control over the show, which was unusual for a star at that time but has become commonplace now. Denise and Theo are thrilled when they are involved in a minor car accident with a limousine whose only passenger is superstar singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder. Wonder feels so bad about the accident that he invites the whole Huxtable family to a recording session. Clair teams up with Wonder and the rest of the family to sing Wonder's hit song, "I Just Called to Say I Love You."
A cocky Theo is sure that in a few years he'll easily land a job as a fashion model and have a great car, apartment and plenty of spending money. So the Huxtables stage an elaborate scheme to prove to him that living on your own is not what it's cracked up to be.
The Cosby Show is an American television situation comedy starring Bill Cosby, which aired for eight seasons on NBC from September 20, 1984 until April 30, 1992. The show focuses on the Huxtable family, an upper middle-class African-American family living in Brooklyn, New York. According to TV Guide, the show "was TV's biggest hit in the 1980s, and almost single-handedly revived the sitcom genre and NBC's ratings fortunes". The show's theme music, "Kiss Me", was composed by Stu Gardner and Bill Cosby. Seven versions of this theme were used during the run of the series, making it one of the few television series to use multiple versions of the same theme song over the course of a series.

I lived my life on a razor blade
Never found escape in my empty shade
Till came one day when the c.i.a
Said we need you bad down in leningrad
I took my life of a legal alien
A "bolivian dancer" that's what i was
And I knew I found my aim
Just telephone mama
Just living on a poison pill
Just telephone mama
A robot dressed to kill
Telephone mama
That's all I kept in mind
Just telephone mama
The rest is left behind
I met freulein in a french caf?
Just a cigarette and "les jeux sont faits"
Till came one night when she was in sight
Through the bathroom door saw her seek for more
I took my colt and I pointed at her eyes
A sentimental cancer that's what it was
And I knew I lost my prize
Just telephone mama
Just living on a poison pill
Just telephone mama
A robot dressed to kill
Telephone mama
That's all I kept in mind
Just telephone mama
The rest is left behind
She looked at me god she was so sweet
She knelt to my feet said she had to cheat
Cause she lived her life on the sharpest knife
And the k.g.b never let her breathe
I took her hand we decided to go far
The naivest "dancer" that's what I was
And two men approached the car
Just telephone mama
Just living on a poison pill
Just telephone mama
A robot dressed to kill
Telephone mama
That's all I kept in mind
Just telephone mama
