Heathcliff (aka Heathcliff and The Catillac Cats) is an American animated television series that debuted on September 5, 1984. It was the second series based on the Heathcliff comic strip and was produced by DIC Entertainment. It ran in syndication until 1988 with a total of 86 episodes. The first show based on the comic strip was Heathcliff and Dingbat, which debuted in 1980 and was produced by Ruby-Spears. Mel Blanc provided the voice of Heathcliff in both series.
The first season ran for 65 episodes and the second season for 21 more. Each episode included a backup segment featuring The Catillac Cats, which is why this show is sometimes referred to as Heathcliff and The Catillac Cats (the second segment is referred to in the closing credits as "Cats & Co".). While the series was on the air, a movie, aptly titled Heathcliff: The Movie, was released which was a compilation of segments from this show.

Although not as good as Garfield and Friends, this 1984 show preceded it and was actually pretty damn good too. And with a brilliant theme song. Purchase from Amazon: http://amzn.to/2osHOB4

My most favorite cartoon intro's from childhood. If you were a child of the 80's and 90's like myself, you should remember most if not all of these. So sit back, relax, and watch as these cartoons take you back to a time when after school and Saturday mornings were all about enjoying your favorite cartoons. I grouped them in order of the year they first appeared on TV. Here is the list of Intros from this video: 1960 – The Flintstones 1962 – The Jetsons 1969 – Scooby-Doo, Where are You? 1970 – Woody Woodpecker 1972 – Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids 1972 – The Brown Hornet 1973 – Super Friends 1974 – The Letter People 1974 – Valley of the Dinosaurs 1975 – The Tom and Jerry Show 1977 – The All-New Super Friends Hour 1977 – Laff-A-Lympics 1977 – Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels 1978 – Th...

I can't wait and I can't take this anymore
Cause it's been too long and it's been too hard
and it's way too late.
and you'll never try and i'll never try,
so we'll never know.
You're my Heathcliff,
You're my heathcliff, come back to me
You're my heathcliff, you're my heathcliff
Why can't you see?
that it's been too long
and it's been too hard
and it's way too late,
and you'll never try and i'll never try
So we'll never know,
and you'll never admit it,
and i'll never admit it,
so we'll never heal,
you're my heathcliff,
You're my heathcliff, come back to me
Can't you see, can't you see, it's been too long, too
long, for us, for us, and our destiny
I'm your Catherine, we are one and the same
Can't you see, can't you see, it's been too long,
and i can't wait,
and i can't take this anymore,
