The Musique-Cordiale Festival Musiques en Liberté is the name for an international festival of music and song and for a series of other musical events in France and Britain. It grew from a dream of making music and encouraging musical appreciation at the highest level in the most conducive surroundings. In a spirit of entente cordiale, the festivals draw people from all ages and many countries and are designed to encourage inter-cultural friendship and understanding through a shared involvement in music-making. Singers and players range in age from 15 to 75.
A key regular feature of Musique-Cordiale events is a period of rehearsal and performance of major choral works by the Ensemble Cordial, a European choir & orchestra with instrumental and vocal soloists. It consists mainly of French, British, German and Swiss musicians and singers and included musicians from the USA and South America in 2006. The ensemble includes some internationally renowned instrumentalists and professional musicians, interacting educationally with budding young singing and playing talent from 'conservatoires'. It has provided a springboard for promising singers and musicians who tend to appear at the festival while at or soon after graduating from colleges such as the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music in London. It also includes good enthusiastic amateurs, there to build up their skills and contribute to the music-making.
Anna Leese (born 7 March 1981) is a New Zealand born soprano opera singer. She made her debut at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in 2006, as understudy for the part of Musetta in Giacomo Puccini's La bohème. She returned to sing the part in her own right in 2008.
She graduated and earned multiple prizes at the University of Otago, plus the 2002 Mobil Song Quest, before moving to London for graduate work at the Royal College of Music and at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School. She performed at Opéra Les Azuriales Festival at Cap Ferat in 2007 and sang solo arias by Mozart, Gounod, Bizet, Dvořák, Puccini and 'Cara la mia fiamma' from Adriano in Siria by J C Bach in Seillans and Mons in the Var, France at the 2007 Musique-Cordiale Festival. Other Covent Garden engagements in 2007 were as Micaela in Carmen and Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos.
Amy Keys is an american singer and vocal artist. She was signed to the Epic Records label and a solo album and several singles were released in 1989. She worked on Walt Disney movie soundtracks and as backing vocalist and various studio recordings and live performances, most notable with Phil Collins or Johnny Hallyday .

Claude François (1 February 1939 – 11 March 1978) was a French pop singer, songwriter and dancer. He notably wrote and composed Comme d'habitude," the original version of "My Way" and Parce que je t'aime mon enfant, the original version of "My Boy." Some of his most famous songs are Le lundi au soleil, Magnolias for ever and Alexandrie Alexandra.
Claude François sold some 70 million records during his career (and after his death) and was about to embark for the U.S. when he accidentally electrocuted himself in 1978 at age 39. His place in the entertainment world was roughly analogous to Cliff Richard in Great Britain, with a dash of Tom Jones. In France, he is described as the French Elvis Presley. Live, Claude François was also seen as James Brown with a soul bypass. Former French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing is quoted as saying Claude François was, to him, the equivalent of The Beatles.
The son of an Italian (Calabrian) mother and a French father, Claude François was born in Egypt, in the city of Ismaïlia, where his father, Aimé François (1908–1961), was working as a shipping traffic controller on the Suez Canal. In 1951 the job took the family to the city of Port Tawfik on the Gulf of Suez.
