I was very tempted to go deep into steel chemistry in this one since chem was one of my majors in college, but instead I tried to stick to generalized practical knife-steel porn.
I love this steel! Sure, it doesn't hold an edge like S30V, but it makes up for that in the ease of sharpening and honing. I think this is about as good as it gets for an EDC steel for the masses. Good at everything, but not excellent at any one particular thing.

After about 3 weeks of testing around and observing I decided to share my opinions with you about Fallkniven's VG10 knife steel and the HT of it.
The knife I used as a comparison was the Spyderco Endura 4 which also has a VG10 blade.
One thing that I think it important to mention is the fact that up until week 2 of testing I was careful what I cut and how the edge looked afterwards...by week 3 I have already realized that whatever I do the blade will get microchips so I stopped worrying about if the wood was dirty or if I hit ground... And finally I am at peace with this knife(F1). :)
Endura is still an edc and I am still playing around with it

CTS BD-1 vs VG10. Want to know which steel is sharper? I recently bought the Spyderco Manix 2 Blue Translucent in CTS BD1 and it came fairly dull. I decided to sharpen it up and test it against the Spyderco Endura in VG10. Spent over an hour cutting cardboard, and condensed it down into a watchable 20 min vid. Enjoy!

Sony NEX-VG10 AVCHD E-Mount interchangeable Lens Camcorder reviewed and sample footage examples
Sony announced the World's first interchangeable lens HD consumer camcorder in mid 2010, not it's here. Blunty3000 took it to San Fransisco to put it through its paces.
Model Highlights: 1920 x 1080 Full HD video recording, large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, Quad Capsule Spatial Array stereo mic, 14MP still image capture, A-mount lens compatible via adaptor, E-mount 18-200mm zoom lens included.
The NEX-VG10 is compatible with Sony E-mount Series of smaller, lighter lenses which are optimized for video shooting with silent operation and autofocus, as well as Sony α and Konica Minolta A-mount lenses (via optional LA-EA1 adapter).
The NEX-VG10 has the same sensor format that Sony builds into the full-sized α DSLRs. With 19.5 times the surface area of conventional camcorders8, the large Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor makes capturing cinematic video with a shallow depth of field a breeze.
The Quad Capsule Spatial Array stereo microphone contains four precision placed microphone capsules to provide exceptional front-side directivity and stereo separation. There's also a microphone jack for external microphones as well as a stereo headphone jack for precise audio monitoring.
The combination of a large image sensor and high quality interchangeable lenses can help capture beautiful vistas with a shallow depth of field, crisp images of a subject while the background artistically out of focus and rack focus on subjects switching from foreground to background.
Sony's NEX-VG10 provides the options previously reserved for professional videographers to consumers. It is equipped with the same Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor used in Sony's "NEX-5" and "NEX-3" digital cameras which is approximately 19.5 times bigger than what you would find in conventional camcorders. Sony announced the World's first interchangeable lens HD consumer camcorder in mid 2010, not it's here. Blunty3000 took it to San Fransisco to put it through its paces.
Model Highlights: 1920 x 1080 Full HD video recording, large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, Quad Capsule Spatial Array stereo mic, 14MP still image capture, A-mount lens compatible via adaptor, E-mount 18-200mm zoom lens included.
The NEX-VG10 is compatible with Sony E-mount Series of smaller, lighter lenses which are optimized for video shooting with silent operation and autofocus, as well as Sony α and Konica Minolta A-mount lenses (via optional LA-EA1 adapter).
The NEX-VG10 has the same sensor format that Sony builds into the full-sized α DSLRs. With 19.5 times the surface area of conventional camcorders8, the large Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor makes capturing cinematic video with a shallow depth of field a breeze.
The Quad Capsule Spatial Array stereo microphone contains four precision placed microphone capsules to provide exceptional front-side directivity and stereo separation. There's also a microphone jack for external microphones as well as a stereo headphone jack for precise audio monitoring.
