Amazing how many beeps you get when you’re dressed as cowboys dancing in the middle of Parramatta Rd. Fitzy and Wippa went to Parramatta Rd to sing about Parramatta Rd to the tune of Steve Earle’s “Copperhead Road” from 1988.

Under the NSW Police Media Policy, police do not have the power to prevent a person from taking photos or filming; confiscate their photographic or filming equipment; delete images or recording or request that they be deleted.
Police officers who try to confiscate equipment or delete recordings could be prosecuted for assault or trespass to the person concerned.
We saw the same cops on foot approaching a random person walking up the street and demanding to search them .. once completed they went on to search another person... they were both just casually walking up the street being harassed by these cops..
The police noticed I was recording the whole thing and started asking questions and telling me to stop the recording (even though it is completely legal)
As I was verbally fighting back, the cops demanded to search me.
The officer hits the iPad I was using to record and twists my hands and arm to my back (which I slipped out of)
Suddenly, Brad gets pushed to the wall and shortly after they hit his head against a brick wall leaving him with what doctors said was mild internal bruising, swollen eye which will result in a black eye (Sucks, 2 days before a festival)
The Police took a photo of me (I obviously posed for it with a big smile on my face) as they told me to move on
We went to Blacktown LAC to speak with Sergeant Leigh Smith who confirmed we did not commit an offence and also verified that it IS legal to film officers in public (or anyone for that matter)
Officers involved:
Constable Oxley (Officer who asked me why I was filming) - Parramatta LAC
Constable Bostock (Attempted to search me with no reasonable suspicion) - Parramatta LAC
The other police officers refused to tell me their names which is also illegal on their part.

Parramatta
Parramatta (/ˌpærəˈmætə/) is a suburb and major business district in the metropolitan area of Sydney, Australia. It is located in Greater Western Sydney 23 kilometres (14 mi) west of the Sydney central business district on the banks of the Parramatta River. Parramatta is the administrative seat of the local government area of the City of Parramatta. It is also acknowledged on the register of the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales as one of only four cities within the Sydney metropolitan area.
Parramatta, founded in the same year as Sydney by the British in 1788, is the oldest inland European settlement in Australia, the economic capital of Greater Western Sydney and the sixth largest central business district in Australia. Since 2000, Parramatta has seen the consolidation of its role as a government centre with the relocation of agencies such as the New South Wales Police Force headquarters and Sydney Water, from the Sydney CBD.
Simultaneously, major upgrades have occurred around the railway station with the expansion of Westfield Parramatta, the creation of a new transport interchange, and the ongoing development of the Parramatta Square local government precinct. It is colloquially known as Parra.

Under the NSW Police Media Policy, police do not have the power to prevent a person from taking photos or filming; confiscate their photographic or filming equipment; delete images or recording or request that they be deleted.
Police officers who try to confiscate equipment or delete recordings could be prosecuted for assault or trespass to the person concerned.
We saw the same cops on foot approaching a random person walking up the street and demanding to search them .. once completed they went on to search another person... they were both just casually walking up the street being harassed by these cops..
The police noticed I was recording the whole thing and started asking questions and telling me to stop the recording (even though it is completely legal)
As I was verbally fighting back, the cops demanded to search me.
The officer hits the iPad I was using to record and twists my hands and arm to my back (which I slipped out of)
Suddenly, Brad gets pushed to the wall and shortly after they hit his head against a brick wall leaving him with what doctors said was mild internal bruising, swollen eye which will result in a black eye (Sucks, 2 days before a festival)
The Police took a photo of me (I obviously posed for it with a big smile on my face) as they told me to move on
We went to Blacktown LAC to speak with Sergeant Leigh Smith who confirmed we did not commit an offence and also verified that it IS legal to film officers in public (or anyone for that matter)

Constable Oxley (Officer who asked me why I was filming) - Parramatta LAC

The other police officers refused to tell me their names which is also illegal on their part.
