Polanco is one of the most famous and most exclusive districts in Mexico City. The neighborhood is notable because of its cultural diversity and has been historically preferred by the descendants of Spanish, Ashkenazi Jewish, Lebanese, among others. Some of the wealthiest families in Mexico and Latin America have homes in Polanco, and a very long list of politicians, celebrities, artists and businessmen call the area home.
The neighborhood is also populated with expensive offices, restaurants, museums, luxurious stores and shopping malls. Its Avenida Presidente Masaryk is the highest-priced street and the one with the most upscale boutiques in Latin America. It is compared by some to Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive or New York City's Fifth Avenue
The area is located in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City, situated north of Chapultepec Park and consisting of five official neighborhoods ("colonias").
The colony takes its name from a river that crossed what is now the Avenue Champs Elysees, which in turn received it to honor the memory of the Spanish Jesuit Juan Alfonso de Polanco, who was secretary of Ignatius of Loyola and whose descendants of the Polanco family were members of the board of the Kings of Spain in the 18th century and came to Mexico as officers of the Crown.

https://www.expedia.com/Mexico-City.d178285.Destination-Travel-Guides Mexico City is one of the financial powerhouses and cultural capitals of Latin America; it’s also a city of color. Mexico City’s colors run deepest in the main square, the Zócalo, once the epicenter of the Mexican Civilization. Today, this area is presided over by a temple of a different kind, The Metropolitan Cathedral. Throughout the Centro Histórico district, over 1500 heritage buildings vie for your attention. The streets of this district overflow with museums and galleries. For a window into the life and color of yesteryear, visit the fabulous Museo Franz Mayer. For a change of color, head to Chapultepec Park, one of the largest urban parks in the world. The park is home to cultural institutions such as the ...
The Presidente InterContinental Mexico City (http://www.presidenteicmexico) is perfectly located in the city's hip and stylish Polanco neighborhood. I spend a week there and really enjoyed my first visit to this wonderful, foodie city. Here's a tour of my room, which although small, was stylish and well-designed. It had everything I needed and was a great base to explore the city. The hotel also has some great restaurants including Chapulin, their modern Mexican fine dining place and even a branch of The Palm. You also get great InterContinental service and luxury, as I find at every InterContinental I visit. I went to the city on assignment for Business Traveler USA magazine and you can read about my adventure in a future issue and on their website (http://www.businesstravelerusa.com). ...

when i'm away you never change
your love it stays when mine it fades
men will say what they say it doesn't change a single thing
for you are for me
another day it burned me up
words are cruel like children
the strangest thing i was born for this
as sparks they fly upward
but you are for me
i got the shakes for the lions outside are awake
it's feeding time and it's my life that is the storyline
the truth is strong and she holds me
she keeps me moving on when it gets overwhelming
