The legendary Robert Shaw giving an interview during filming for "Jaws" during filming in 1974. It was released the following year after going over budget by close to triple the amount. It was originally estimated at $3.5M but ended up costing $9M. Spielberg thought he may never work again as a result. Thankfully by means of an excellent performance by 3 great actors and Spielberg's genius it actually grossed $470,653,000 at the Box Office. That is what you call a success! Robert Shaw pulls off such a convincing accent and performance in the film I wanted to know what he really sounded like and learn about him. I had to hunt for this footage and I apologise for its quality but it's great to hear the great man speak. An alcoholic, he jokes here of how he drinks between takes. He died in Ir...

I hope all of you enjoy this recording as much as I do. Robert Shaw is easily my favorite conductor of the 20th century. This album was one of the most influential albums for me as a child, and the songs were permanently burned into my psyche many years ago. My brother Eldo says this album also had a profound impact on him, and on future Kansas Youth Chorus selections. The longing for Heaven crying out from them moves me in a powerful way. I hope they provide you with comfort and pure musical enjoyment. I looked high and low on the internet to find a CD of this album, but to no avail. Eventually I just decided to buy a record off of eBay and attempt it myself. I’m currently using Audacity free editing software and Windows Movie Maker for my recording projects. I'm an unabashed n...

It was used by critics in USA and other countries because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians. According to actor Aldo Sambrell, the phrase 'Spaghetti Western' was originally created by Italian journalist Alfonso Sancha[1]. In the beginning the term was used in a derogatory sense, but over time it has become accepted as descriptive. The denomination for th...
