Louis Koo (born 21 October 1970) is a Hong Kong actor. He was once a notable local television series actor, winning TVB's Best Actor award in 1999 for Detective Investigation Files IV. In recent years, he has focused on film. Koo has become one of the more famous actors of the Hong Kong film industry, and a spokesman for Pepsi, Osim, Tag Heuer, Lotte, Zero Eyewear, Lay's, and other Chinese products.
Before entering showbiz, Koo spent 22 months in jail for robbery. Koo did not have a proper education and decided to enter showbiz afterwards. Koo began his career as a fashion model and a karaoke MTV actor before becoming a contract artist with TVB in 1993. Since then he has starred in many television dramas and commercials which raised his popularity to new heights in recent years. Ever since he changed his image by getting an extreme tan (which he is well known for), his career gained a huge boost. His distinctive style has captivated audiences of all ages. In 1999, Koo was honoured with TVB's Most Popular Male Artist Award for Detective Investigation Files IV. In 2001, Koo was given the award once again for A Step into the Past and also the Most Stylish Personality Award and Men of Power 2001.

若幹年後，香港旺角出了壹個身手高強的古惑仔小賭俠澤西（張家輝），他的偶像就是當年的賭王阿酷，他壹直想拜阿酷為師，無奈阿酷音訊杳然，這個願望壹直無法實現。在壹次賭局大勝之後，澤西攜女友（鐘麗緹）赴日本觀光，竟陰差陽錯地走進啊酷開的餐館，此時正逢黑社會前來鬧事，澤西與阿酷聯手將對方逐走，澤西也因此發現了阿酷的真實身份。兩人結為好友。
與此同時，日本賭王鐵男也迫切希望與阿酷壹戰，以此證明自己是亞洲第壹高手，但已無心在出江湖的阿酷拒絕與其決戰，求戰心切的鐵男利用可人在美國的孿生妹妹怡人（朱茵），誘阿酷上鉤，阿酷在萬般無奈之下，只好自毀誓言，與鐵男展開世紀大決戰。
拍攝情況
《中華賭俠》主要在日本拍攝外景，為增加該片吸引力，劇組歷盡艱辛，耗盡人事情面，商借得停泊於深圳沙頭角的俄制航空母艦明思克號，成為香港電影史上的第壹次！
該艦於1978年開始服役於蘇聯太平洋艦隊，1994年退役後，幾經轉接，以近三千八百萬人民幣售予深圳某實業公司。古天樂在日本拍罷《中》片外景回港後，上月中隨即聯同朱茵、鐘麗緹、倉田保昭、林國斌及鄒兆龍秘密前往深圳拍攝賭王大賽及結局打鬥大場面。古天樂與飾演大反派的林國斌在艦上及附近海中進行海陸空大格鬥，快艇攻船，由倉底打上甲板，結尾更鬥至戰鬥機，導演程小東為求用盡這個難得機會，特別設計了壹系列嶄新的動作場面。
電影公司在《中》片開拍前已得知有這樣壹艘退役航空母艦，便即時與有關公司洽談，經過多月時間申請，對方終於被誠意打動首肯租借，而拍攝四日租金高達六位數字，更只準在夜間拍攝。
正式拍攝時遇上連場大雨，甲板上多處地方未能拍攝，幸而有關公司通融，特準在不準拍攝的地方取景，拍攝才可順利完成，動作設計鄒兆龍說：“好難說清打鬥場面如何，總之整套動作好高難度！”

香港賭王阿酷（古天樂）壹度風光無限，以壹手飛牌絕技名震江湖，在亞洲只有日本的鐵男（倉田保昭）可堪與其壹戰，阿酷也壹心想擊敗鐵男，成為真正的亞洲第壹人。為了這頂頭銜，他苦練賭術，心無旁騖，卻在此時被自己的義兄楊光（林國斌）陷害，把阿酷之女友可人（朱茵）騙至日本，並與之結婚，阿酷匆忙趕至結婚禮堂，陷入楊光的圈套，可人識破楊光的真面目，為了保護阿酷要害中槍，成為植物人，但壹紙婚約使阿酷不能帶走可人，他只有淡出江湖，在日本開了壹家中華料理館，每天去偷偷看壹眼已失去知覺的可人。
若幹年後，香港旺角出了壹個身手高強的古惑仔小賭俠澤西（張家輝），他的偶像就是當年的賭王阿酷，他壹直想拜阿酷為師，無奈阿酷音訊杳然，這個願望壹直無法實現。在壹次賭局大勝之後，澤西攜女友（鐘麗緹）赴日本觀光，竟陰差陽錯地走進啊酷開的餐館，此時正逢黑社會前來鬧事，澤西與阿酷聯手將對方逐走，澤西也因此發現了阿酷的真實身份。兩人結為好友。
與此同時，日本賭王鐵男也迫切希望與阿酷壹戰，以此證明自己是亞洲第壹高手，但已無心在出江湖的阿酷拒絕與其決戰，求戰心切的鐵男利用可人在美國的孿生妹妹怡人（朱茵），誘阿酷上鉤，阿酷在萬般無奈之下，只好自毀誓言，與鐵男展開世紀大決戰。
拍攝情況
《中華賭俠》主要在日本拍攝外景，為增加該片吸引力，劇組歷盡艱辛，耗盡人事情面，商借得停泊於深圳沙頭角的俄制航空母艦明思克號，成為香港電影史上的第壹次！
該艦於1978年開始服役於蘇聯太平洋艦隊，1994年退役後，幾經轉接，以近三千八百萬人民幣售予深圳某實業公司。古天樂在日本拍罷《中》片外景回港後，上月中隨即聯同朱茵、鐘麗緹、倉田保昭、林國斌及鄒兆龍秘密前往深圳拍攝賭王大賽及結局打鬥大場面。古天樂與飾演大反派的林國斌在艦上及附近海中進行海陸空大格鬥，快艇攻船，由倉底打上甲板，結尾更鬥至戰鬥機，導演程小東為求用盡這個難得機會，特別設計了壹系列嶄新的動作場面。
電影公司在《中》片開拍前已得知有這樣壹艘退役航空母艦，便即時與有關公司洽談，經過多月時間申請，對方終於被誠意打動首肯租借，而拍攝四日租金高達六位數字，更只準在夜間拍攝。
正式拍攝時遇上連場大雨，甲板上多處地方未能拍攝，幸而有關公司通融，特準在不準拍攝的地方取景，拍攝才可順利完成，動作設計鄒兆龍說：“好難說清打鬥場面如何，總之整套動作好高難度！”

Wah is teamed with wacky partner Guy (Blackie Ko), who was once a famous cop until his two adopted sons met terrible fates. Tong (Louis Koo), was one of them, and it’s no surprise that the handsome, intense young actor is our vigilante. Also showing up is teenybopper popstar Grace Yip, as Guy’s daughter and Wah's requisite love interest.
A mildly interesting movie, The Masked Prosector is most notable for the return of Jordan Chan to the big screen and the continuing ascension of Louis Koo. As Tong, Koo brings an intensity to the screen that’s quite riveting, even when he appears in bad movies (which is usually the case). He makes an interesting foil for Chan, as the two square off in that ballyhooed homoerotic cop/criminal battle of wits. This movie isn’t special or important, but it’s well-executed commercial stuff with some creepy atmosphere and a minimum of shtick. Director Yau’s usual understated, inconsequential style is in evidence, but the movie turns out to be reasonably interesting and entertaining. (Kozo 2000)
