Saint Lucia (i/seɪnt ˈluːʃə/; French: Sainte-Lucie) is a sovereign island country in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the Lesser Antilles, it is located north/northeast of the island of Saint Vincent, northwest of Barbados and south of Martinique. It covers a land area of 617 km2 (238.23 sq mi) and has a population of 174,000 (2010). Its capital is Castries.
The French were the island's first European settlers. They signed a treaty with the native Carib Indians in 1660. England took control of the island from 1663 to 1667. In ensuing years, it was at war with France 14 times, and rule of the island changed frequently (it was seven times each ruled by the French and British). In 1814, the British took definitive control of the island. Because it switched so often between British and French control, Saint Lucia was also known as the "Helen of the West Indies".
Representative government came about in 1840 (with universal suffrage from 1953). From 1958 to 1962, the island was a member of the Federation of the West Indies. On 22 February 1979, Saint Lucia became an independent state of the Commonwealth of Nations associated with the United Kingdom. Saint Lucia is a mixed jurisdiction, meaning that it has a legal system based in part on both the civil law and English common law. The Civil Code of St. Lucia of 1867 was based on the Quebec Civil Code of 1866, as supplemented by English common law-style legislation. It is also a member of La Francophonie.

Sexual activity between same-sex couples is illegal on most of the Caribbean islands that are dependent on tourism. Saint Lucia’s Minister of Tourism says the island nation has always welcomed gay tourists, but the live and let live attitude does not extend to a change in the laws that make same sex relations illegal. Some residents say they are happy that the government is welcoming all to Saint Lucia’s shores, but believe the laws should remain unchanged. An edited GoPro video of our week in Saint Lucia from February of 2015. We spent time hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, boating, exploring, a helicopter ride and much more! We stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian located at Gros Islet on the north end of the island. The first excursion we did was with Joe Knows Tours, called the Land & Sea Tour. This was a lot of fun and at the same time it allowed us to take in a lot of activities in a single day. We cruised in a speedboat to the south end of the island near the Pitons where we visited the Sulphur Springs for a mud bath. Next, we swam in a waterfall and had lunch with a view of the Pitons in the background. After getting back on the boat, we went to a nearby beach/bay area for snorkeling. These tour guides ar...

In this first video, I run through the mission that comes with the Dark Mod, a stealth game built with the Doom 3 engine. The mission is called The Tears of St Lucia, and revolves around robbing a builder church and destroying a statue. I played it on the hardest setting and got all the treasure, so it's good to watch if you are having trouble finding something. This is running on version 1.08. So turn off the lights, crank up the sound and enjoy!

Raise your right hand honey be damned
Taking care to take it out on me
Just enough to keep your strong arm stronger
Just as cruel as a Stagger Lee
When all along you've been as twisted as the vines
Hanging down from St. Lucia's wreath
Thorns and thistles on the floor where you're laying
Bells and whistles calling out on me
Better call somebody to come and take you home
I tried to tell you but you just wouldn't leave it alone
Two holes is what I gave you
One more to be sure
And you was worth every one of them
Every one and no more
Three holes is what I gave you
For ratting out on me
Looks like you caught yourself a danger
That's gonna set your soul free
You went out and used my good heart against me
Scratch a lie honey find a thief
And every promise that you made ran empty
Lured down to a wounded knee
You've been going round tellin' tall tales
Twisting words like they was tops and teeth
But I could think of a thousand things better
Than to bully what you don't believe
Ain't nobody gonna come and take your body home
I tried to tell you but you just couldn't leave it alone
Two holes is what I gave you
One more to be sure
And you was worth every one of them
Every one and no more
Three holes is what I gave you
For ratting out on me
Looks like you caught yourself a danger
That's gonna set your soul free
