Spartan Health Sciences University, School of Medicine offers a four-year (40 calendar months) academic program leading to the Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.), and is taught on a trimester (four months) schedule.
The curriculum of the University's Doctor of Medicine degree program encompasses a comprehensive course of Basic Sciences, Pre-clinical, bridging curriculum and Clinical Sciences that is four (4) academic years. The trimester period commences in January, May, and September of each year. A student may elect to enter in any one of the three (3) trimesters. The International American University College of Medicine (IAU) will be hosting a Seminar in bservation of World Health Day on Tuesday April 7th 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the premises of the University, Beanefield, Vieux-Fort.
This is the second such activity this year in accordance with our commitment to observe the Health calendar proposed by the World Health Organization(WHO), having hosted a successful Interactive Seminar in January 2009 in observance of World Leprosy Day.
The University is committed to encouraging community involvement in overall medical education and health care and as such the Seminar will focus on themes impacting the Health Services in Saint Lucia. Thus the Scientific Session of the Proceedings will feature aspects of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, Cancer, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, HIV/AIDS and STDs, among other health problems.
The Seminar is open to all medical personnel, students, government/private sector and other social organizations and the general public.

❄OPEN FOR RECIPE❄
❄3 dl of unsweetened yogurt
❄1 ½ dl of water
❄½ dl of canola oil
❄50 grams of yeast
❄2 eggs
❄1 ½ dl of sweetener (I had stevia)
❄About 12 dl of whole grain spelled flour
❄4 tbsp of psyllium seed husk
❄1 tbsp of vanilla powder
❄1 package of saffron
❄Some raisins for decoration
❄Heat up the yogurt, water and oil
to 37 degrees celsius. You can use
a thermometer but you can also
feel with your finger if it's
body temperatured. And then crumble
down the yeast and stir.
❄Pour it down in a dough mixer
and add the rest of the ingredients
as well. Mix it to a smooth dough
and let it fermenting for 30 mins.
❄After 30 mins, you can start to make
the buns. Roll them
and roll the ends in the opposite
directions from eachother. Put them
on a baking tray with parcement paper
and let them fermenting for 30 mins again.
❄Now you can preheat the oven to 225 degrees C.
❄After that, brush some eggs over the
buns and decorate with raisins. Bake
until they got a nice color, about 10 mins.
❄And here they are! If you want them
sweeter, you can add another ½ or
1 dl of sweetener and for more saffron
flavour, add another package. I liked
that they weren't that sweet though
just because everything else is so
sweet now during christmas.

Saint Lucia (
i/seɪnt ˈluːʃə/; French: Sainte-Lucie) is a sovereign island country in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the Lesser Antilles, it is located north/northeast of the island of Saint Vincent, northwest of Barbados and south of Martinique. It covers a land area of 617 km2 (238.23 sq mi) and has a population of 174,000 (2010). Its capital is Castries.
The French were the island's first European settlers. They signed a treaty with the native Carib Indians in 1660. England took control of the island from 1663 to 1667. In ensuing years, it was at war with France 14 times, and rule of the island changed frequently (it was seven times each ruled by the French and British). In 1814, the British took definitive control of the island. Because it switched so often between British and French control, Saint Lucia was also known as the "Helen of the West Indies".
Representative government came about in 1840 (with universal suffrage from 1953). From 1958 to 1962, the island was a member of the Federation of the West Indies. On 22 February 1979, Saint Lucia became an independent state of the Commonwealth of Nations associated with the United Kingdom. Saint Lucia is a mixed jurisdiction, meaning that it has a legal system based in part on both the civil law and English common law. The Civil Code of St. Lucia of 1867 was based on the Quebec Civil Code of 1866, as supplemented by English common law-style legislation. It is also a member of La Francophonie.

❄3 dl of unsweetened yogurt
❄1 ½ dl of water
❄½ dl of canola oil
❄50 grams of yeast
❄2 eggs
❄1 ½ dl of sweetener (I had stevia)
❄About 12 dl...

❄3 dl of unsweetened yogurt
❄1 ½ dl of water
❄½ dl of canola oil
❄50 grams of yeast
❄2 eggs
❄1 ½ dl of sweetener (I had stevia)
❄About 12 dl of whole grain spelled flour
❄4 tbsp of psyllium seed husk
❄1 tbsp of vanilla powder
❄1 package of saffron
❄Some raisins for decoration
❄Heat up the yogurt, water and oil
to 37 degrees celsius. You can use
a thermometer but you can also
feel with your finger if it's
body temperatured. And then crumble
down the yeast and stir.
❄Pour it down in a dough mixer
and add the rest of the ingredients
as well. Mix it to a smooth dough
and let it fermenting for 30 mins.
❄After 30 mins, you can start to make
the buns. Roll them
and roll the ends in the opposite
directions from eachother. Put them
on a baking tray with parcement paper
and let them fermenting for 30 mins again.
❄Now you can preheat the oven to 225 degrees C.
❄After that, brush some eggs over the
buns and decorate with raisins. Bake
until they got a nice color, about 10 mins.
❄And here they are! If you want them
sweeter, you can add another ½ or
1 dl of sweetener and for more saffron
flavour, add another package. I liked
that they weren't that sweet though
just because everything else is so
sweet now during christmas.

Vendors have benefitted from the growth to some extent and hope that a continued rise in tourism will result in a better standard of living for them. Saint Lucia Vacation 2015 (GoPro Video)
An edited GoPro video of our week in Saint Lucia from February of 2015. We spent time hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, boating, exploring, a helicopter ride and much more! We stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian located at Gros Islet on the north end of the island. The first excursion we did was with Joe Knows Tours, called the Land & Sea Tour. This was a lot of fun and at the same time it allowed us to take in a lot of activities in a single day. We cruised in a speedboat to the south end of the island near the Pitons where we visited the Sulphur Springs for a mud bath. An edited GoPro video of our week in Saint Lucia from February of 2015. We spent time hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, boating, exploring, a helicopter ride and much more! We stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian located at Gros Islet on the north end of the island.
The first excursion we did was with Joe Knows Tours, called the Land & Sea Tour. This was a lot of fun and at the same time it allowed us to take in a lot of activities in a single day. We cruised in a speedboat to the south end of the island near the Pitons where we visited the Sulphur Springs for a mud bath. Next, we swam in a waterfall and had lunch with a view of the Pitons in the background. After getting back on the boat, we went to a nearby beach/bay area for snorkeling. These tour guides are all about having fun and entertaining the guests to make sure they have a good time!
The second day trip we took was with Paradise Excursions, which led us to the top of Gros Piton, (elevation ~2,500 ft) with amazing views! John Nestor was an excellent tour guide; he was very knowledgeable and proud of the island. After spending the day with him and completing the challenging hike, he took us to one of his personal favorite restaurants in Soufrière. It was a small vegan eatery called Jah Lamb's where we had an amazing meal!
The helicopter ride when we left the resort was booked with Island Routes, through Sandals. The resort was about a 90-minute drive from the airport when we arrived, so checking out the helicopter was a must, after hearing several people talking about the great views it provided.

Let's play in the Dark: The Dark Mod - Tears of St Lucia
In this first video, I run through the mission that comes with the Dark Mod, a stealth game built with the Doom 3 engine. The mission is called The Tears of St Lucia, and revolves around robbing a builder church and destroying a statue. I played it on the hardest setting and got all the treasure, so it's good to watch if you are having trouble finding something. This is running on version 1.08. So turn off the lights, crank up the sound and enjoy!

( now I found the film from my safe DVD and I have done better resolution version of it ..lets hope the quality is better now and you can see the awesome St. Lucia from the air.....hj 2013)
